This is a cute, family-friendly movie. Its animation and artstyle may not be the most aesthetically pleasing to the eyes, but the message it wants to conveys regarding how friendship transcends boundaries is very wholesome. The two main characters, Gabu the wolf and Mei the sheep, goes through their own struggles to maintain their friendship as they face the societal expectations of their respective kind that antagonizes/objectifies the others. The friendship those two characters have is very strong and authentic, it really made me tear up at some parts.

I watched this only because I wanted to see everything my younger sister saw, and I'm glad that this was one of those animes that was worth picking up on.

Glad that you found this movie.

True friendship/love is there (it doesn't matter what type of it is). The bonds between two different couldn't be watched without tears.

The story isn't that complicated because it was children's book originally though, this film and novelized one are really for grownups too and thought-provoking.

This work describes not only what love is but even social structure.

I'm still hoping the English dubbed DVD will be officially released, but really appreciate the great fan-dub.
