Sensual stories where prey becomes friend and their struggle to live between both worlds allowing differences to bypass them. These characters will undergo many tests and trials that will test the limit of their ability to look past outer appearances and dig deeper into one anothers own personality. Bittersweet stories that'll keep you wanting more if you watch one don't deny the other.

You like a bit childish stories about big bad wolfs and litlle cute and naive lambs? well the two stories tells almost the same story: in both films very naive lamb meets a wolf and believes that he wont eat him, but how will the wolf act?

Well I think Stormy Night looks a bit newer and has really amazing backgrounds and the wolf is very funny.

Ringing bell scenario is more complex and more morale things come in the way.

Well how two of these films will finish it depends on the wolfs :)

Both series have a wolf and a lamb as the main charectors. Between the 2 animals, freindship begins to bloom and causes trouble for other animals. disturbingly good picture and story plot.... Arashi No Yoru Ni has a much happier story, while Chirin No Suzu focuses more on a dark and dimented tale...

hamletsmage hamletsmage says...

In both anime, the lamb protagonist loses his mother to wolves. Through circumstance, he ends up pairing up with a wolf, shocking just about everyone, wolf and sheep alike. Arashi is more light-hearted than Chirin, but both tell the strange friendship of goat/ram and wolf.

As he ventures out into the world, however, he discovers just how dire the straights have become - with man and beast ready to break into all out war, his curse becomes the least of his problems. As both sides teeter dangerously on the side of outright slaughter of one another, Ashitaka sets his own problems aside and, using his charisma and honor, seeks to quell the hatred before it gets beyond repair - but will he be in time or is he simply delaying the inevitable?

Mononoke Hime and Arashi no Yoru ni both have wonderful animation which stresses the animals very well. Both are a sad tale as much as they are a tale about friendship. The only real difference is that Mononoke Hime is more serious while Arashi no Yoru ni is more for those young of heart.

chuckylover911 chuckylover911 says...

The animation tells the story very well and really expresses the animals/creatures feelings. In both movies, forbidden relationships develope and cause havoc. The comedy is light and fun, just as it should be in these complicated tales...

freakzilla freakzilla says...

Arashi no Yoru ni is a story about goats and wolves, but the story, animation and flow of the movie make it very fit for kids to see. On the other hand we have Spirited Away which actually has a scarier villain, yet in both the main characters are left by themselves to look for a way out. On top of that, Spirited Away has some rather peculiar creatures as well that help it appeal to the same younger anime fans.

If I would get my kids into anime Totoro and Arashi no Yoru ni are probably the first two anime I'd show them. Both have a very different style from the usual anime. They are lower on the content and higher on the animation, have fun creatures and a special slower flow throughout the movie. They are perfect for kids!

chuckylover911 chuckylover911 says...

They are both very fun animes! The freindship between one-another are both unheard of, and strangly exciting. You instantly fall in love with the main charectors and become engulfed with the differnt animation styles and backgrounds. They are both family freindly and entertaining... even for teenager (Personal experience)

Arashi no Yoru ni and Kemonozume are very different anime, but share several features that underpin them. The first thing I thought of after watching Arashi was Kemonozume, and after some thought, the reasons become obvious.

First, the art; both these anime have very unconventional and catchy animation styles, giving each a unique feel, and both are vastly different from each other. They both have a hand-drawn feel, but Arashi's style is that of wispy illustrations for a children's book, and Kemonozume goes for the messy, provocative swipes.

Second, the plot; both anime  are about the love/friendship of individuals from antagonistic groups, and their struggles against their respective communities' enmity, and their struggles for the preservation of their relationships.

But be warned. Kemonozume is geared towards mature audiences, filled with violence and sex, while Arashi no Yoru ni is a fairy tale of sorts, and is an enjoyable watch for people of all ages.

Iblard Jikan

Iblard Jikan

In a lush and detailed fantasy world, magical airships sail amidst floating islands and villas. Luxurious earthly homes lie amidst hillsides of flowers and trees, and a lone pond houses a single shoot of life. Miniature tram cars come and go, ladies’ dresses flutter in the breeze, will o’ wisps dance in the midst of dusk and lights flicker warmly. With a lack of narrative, Iblard Jikan shows us these visions and more alongside a soundtrack of lilting melodies.

Although the stories in these two anime aren't similar at all (because in Iblard Jikan there is no clear story line), it's worth watching them both just because both have amazing scenery. It's really fun to watch how the characters in Iblard Jikan's paintings become real, and Arashi no Yoru ni's characters look kind of puffy like they have real fur, not drawn fur. The animation style of both anime is really worth watching.

Arashi no Yoru ni and Bottle Fairy both have a very relaxed feeling. Combining several elements of cuteness and a fun-loving atmosphere they definitely feel alike. Bottle Fairy is cute for the young, but is still interesting for those who are older (if you're interested in the Japanese culture). Arashi no Yoru ni has less to offer for the older fans, but it's a nice change of pace from the usual anime.

King of Bandit Jing has a lot of strange creatures which makes it another perfect watch for those that want something relaxed and childish. The entire atmosphere and flow in both Jing and Arashi no Yoru ni are very alike. Both are very befitting for younger fans, or for fans that want something different as a remnant of their old days.

Kamichu and Arashi no Yoru ni have one big thing in common: the pacing! Both are, without a doubt, set at a slower pace to appeal to a wider audience. But there's also something about the feelings that are brought about by that pace. Feelings of anxiety, friendship and surprises fill both of these anime.

In both Animes the charectors are all Animals who can speak. Cute charectors and animation style. As in Useless animals, the animals are all misfits... and totaly unlike their own species. And in Arashi No Yori Ni, a forbidden relationship causes problems for all animal species.
