Gintama and Arakawa Under the Bridge X Bridge are both episodic series that feature the same cast of characters in a zany storyline. Because it is episodic the storylines may not match up from one episode to the next but it also allows the writers to have the characters do some crazy stunts. Both series feature lots of funny moments and lines, and parody a lot topics from Anime to Pop Culture references. If you like one you will like the other.

Not only are both Gintama and Arakawa hilarious, they feature a lot of the same voice actors. If you're a fan of Gintama, you'll probly realize that the voice cast is magnificent, and if you're like me then that will translate into loving Arakawa, too. Works the other way around as well.

The humor is rather similar in most ways in both shows. If you're in it for the humor, then if you love one you'll love the other.

Arakawa has some of Gintama seyuu team, which tells something about it.

While tagged as comedy, both shows are more than that. They're stories about people, stories that you would want to know, not overdramatized ones. Surely will you find it hearth-warming.

And of course, both anime contain a lot of crazy-donkey humor. Must to see.
