Two pretty terrible fantasy/action anime based on video games (or the consoles themselves) - Spectral Force is the only of the two with laughably bad animation, but both are fairly generic fantasy/action titles that will probably appeal to the same type of person.

Shadow Skill TV

Shadow Skill TV

Elle Ragu, nicknamed Shadow Skill, is the newest Sevaar to emerge, but that doesn't make her life any easier. Teaching her "little brother," Gau, how to be a warrior, fending off assassins from other kingdoms and thwarting enemy invasions is hard enough, but her biggest challenge will be paying off her drinking debts!

If you're looking for a fantasy-esque title with lots of action and superpowers, and liked those aspects of Aoi Sekai, do check out the Shadow Skill franchise, which is far superior in every way.

Aoi Sekai no Chuushin de has about the same style of fighting and ecchi in both series.  One may be more noticably frequent than the other but you still get the experiance you expected when you go and watch these two shows.

If you like video games then you'll love this anime.  Aoi Sekai is full of video game character references so why not watch some of the source matrial!   If you love video games you should do yourself a favor and give this Mario anime a look.  It may not be based in a mid-evil style world but it does have all those interesting video game characters you're so familiar with.

Both anime are video game themed.  Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie directly based on the video game series on the same name, while Aoi Sekai no Chuuchin de is loosely based on the video console 'wars' of the early 90's (though retold in a fictional midevil setting with an actual war) and has alot of video game references including the characters (who are based on video game characters or in some cases, a game series itself).  Gear (the main character of Aoi Sekai no Chuushin de) is obviously based on Sonic.  Personally, I think Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie is the better on the two, but if you like one you may find some enjoyment from the other (especially if you are a Sonic fan and want to know what a human version of Sonic would look like).  Just be warned that Aoi Sekai no Chuushin de has some ecchi in it while Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie is much more family freindly.
