Chivalry of a Failed Knight

Chivalry of a Failed Knight

Ikki Kurogane may have come from a long line of Blazers, people with the ability to create weapons or devices manifested from their souls, but as far as the Hagun Academy is concerned, he's been a major disappointment in the magical powers department. He is so disappointing, in fact, that he's earned the unfortunate nickname of the "Worst One". However, things change for Ikki in the most surprising way when Princess Stella Vermillion, the most promising Rank-A Blazer to come along in many years, decides to transfer to Hagun. When she challenges him to a duel where the loser must obey the winner for the rest of their life, the last thing anyone expects is that the Worst One might prove to be a match for the Crimson Princess… and the unforeseen consequences will push the boundaries of society itself!

Both are magic sword anime in school and battle settings. Anti-Magic Academy is harem with a "girl of the day" feel while Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry is pretty much OTP.

It's awesome, they both have many similar qualities in the genre and it's just worth watching in general.

Both anime have a protagonist who are ridiculed for being untalented or irregular, however, both of them keep on fighting for their goals and ideals which would take them to become one of the strongest people there is.

The main protagonist are pretty similar. They both use swords, and they both get powered up swords. They both take place in school although the school doesn't seem to take any interest in student welfare. I'm actually watching both shows at the same time, and I get them confused on occasion.

Both animes have similar characters, ideas, and story. Anti-Magic Acadamy seems to be going in a slightly different direction story wise but it starts out a lot like Kuusen..maybe a little too much. If you liked Kuusen, you might be interested in this.

The Familiar of Zero

The Familiar of Zero

In a world where magic is a reality, the young Louise is at the bottom of her class. Dubbed "Zero" by her classmates at Tristein Academy (due to her zero success rate for magic), Louise (along with all first year students) was charged with summoning a familiar; and instead of a cute magical creature, the familiar arrived in the form of... Saito Hiraga, a normal Japanese boy who was abruptly teleported from his own world?! Can both Louise and Saito come to terms with their new and complicated "relationship" and (more importantly) help Saito find a way home?

Both of these involve magic and school as well as a group or person who was considered one of the worst until they get a powerful ally.

The Irregular at Magic High School

Takeru is highly skilled in close combat but initially has no magical powers.  He develops some very powerful magic abilities thanks to his acceptance by Lapis to be her host.  He is attending with a very smart but extremely independent lady who was sent back to school for losing her cool in the field. This is also a lot like Chrome Shelled Regios.  The setting is a school for anti magic yet some students in fact do use magic including a trial period for a former enemy who has also become a student.  Like The Irregular at Magic High School, these students frequently take their skills to the field or world beyond the school to combat powerful enemies.  Chivalry of a Failed Knight looks pretty similar to this series as well.  The issue of Takeru and his team is not lack of talent but confidence and teamwork, who though not shared by Tatsuya is shared by some of his classmates such as Mizuki and Mikiho.

Both have similar amount of action, magic and sci-fi genre, also both involve the main guy character having an anthropomorphic weapon in the form of a girl, except in L&L the main guy is in a realtionship with his anthropomorphic weapon, while in 35 Test Platoon, the anthropomorphic weapon is competing for the guys affection along with other harem members.

they've got the ecchi and harem tags in common and a guy trying to save his sister/female 'cousin'. the ecchi's more in your face in Taimadou but that series' also got better action, better comedy, and better pacing. Trinity Seven has more interesting charachters overall, and the best harem mc ever; smart, not phased by anything, embraces the ecchi. I believe that fans of one would enjoy the other.
