Want to see students getting killed off in horriffic ways? Want a creepy sense of foreboding around every corner? That's what I thought.
Gore, horror, gruesome deaths each surrounding high school kids. If you liked Corpse Party: Tortured Souls or Another, you'd like the other.
Both anime are about students surrounded by death, desperately trying to solve a mystery before they are the next to die. Both series have creatively gory kills with plenty of blood and mutilation.
Another has a better plot and more consistent atmosphere, but if you're looking for a dark anime with plenty of gore and violent death then you should check out both of these anime.

Stop reading this recommendation if you don't want anything the least bit spoiled. Just know that I think that these share some commonalities.
Both shows deal with a phonomenon that is quite simply a force of nature. They cannot be stopped or contained it just happens although The lost village goes further into explaining it's demons.
- characters try to solve a mystery affecting those around them
- supernatural and horror elements
Overall, it's just something else to watch if you've ran out of spooky/mystery anime.
They both have a kinda chibi like style. I don't know how to explain it, but they have sorta the same vibe where there is a curse/monster hunting the group.
Emma, Norman, Ray, and many other "siblings" live at an isolated orphanage cut off from the outside world. They live a charmed life surrounded by friends and watched over by Mama, their caretaker, until they leave the house for a foster family by the age of twelve. The only rule is that they must never venture outside of the gate that isolates them...
