Both are pretty similar in the subject matter. Frame Arms Girl is moreso rooted into the actually released F.A. Girl kits of the time (around the series' airing) and leans slightly more toward a typical battle anime, while Amazing Stranger shares a similar concept (sentient action figures/model kits) but goes completely wild with having some plain, dumb fun. There's even a character in Amazing Stranger that references the F.A. Girl Gourai, just with a different origin and somewhat different design.
If you've got some time to spare and want something to turn your brain off with, they're both worth the time. They're not great complex narratives, but they're simple and fun, and that's all that really matters with these two.
