Three female high school students in a high tempo gag comedy is the main and most important thing these shows have in common.

Where Plastic Nee-san stays (mostly) within the realm of reality, Ai Mai Mii goes into the supernatural and to other extremes. The tone and setting, however, are almost identical.

Both anime revolve around 3 girls in an after school club that get into all sorts of weird situations. Both are short episode anime with a lot of random-style comedy.

If you liked the second season of Ai Mai Mii and just need more random hilarity from Japanese school girls, why not try Plastic Nee-san?

Lucky Star

Lucky Star

In present day Japan, the life of a school girl is never dull. The easily-bored Konata never finds time to study because of her otaku habits, which frustrates hard-working Kagami to no end. On the other hand, laid-back Tsukasa always manages to go with the flow, while Miyuki is concerned with keeping her status as resident know-it-all. Join these four girls as they muse and meander their way through everyday events such as eating chocolate cones, doing homework, gaming, and trips to the beach galore.

Both of these anime are about high school girls and have a similar humor style. Making quick, random jokes, in random settings, is the odd type of humor both of these shows share.

Senyuu.

One day, without warning, a huge hole appeared in the world and demons emerged, ready for battle. Assuming that the demon king sealed by a hero 1,000 years ago must have escaped, the king of the land set forth a decree: the hero’s descendents must defeat evil once more! For Alba, one such would-be hero, this journey will be anything but ordinary given his growing collection of bizarre and wacky companions. Alongside young demon Ruki, age-inappropriate Ruldolf, tentacle-fighter witch Zwei and a host of others, Alba will get arrested, play dodgeball, travel across the land, and least importantly, learn the truth about the hole in the world!

Both of these shows have short episodes and have similar gag-type humor. If you liked the comedy-style of one, you'd probably like the other as well.

Kanae, Marimo, Nasuno and Yuri are four friends who make up a tennis club at school. Whether they're going to a bakery to eat cakes, wrestling Yuri's panties from Marimo's mouth or actually playing tennis for once, the girls always manage to have a fun time in the process.

Both of these shows are short, fast-faced, and random to the extreme. Both are about a group of high school girls in a club, however club activities are rarely even seen due ot the randomness of the show. Neither have a plot and all attempts at humor depend at how random a scene can be.

If you somehow were able to enjoy one, you'd probably enjoy the other as well.

Extremely similar random humor with similar gags and almost identical characters. There's a lot of third-wallbreaking, parody and humor not vested in reality.

Main difference is the tempo (Ai Mai Mii has a higher tempo than Fushigi na Somera-chan). Additionally, the jokes in Ai Mai Mii seem to be a bit more well thought out, on point and unpredictable than Fushigi na Somera-chan.
