Similar main characters, they have troubles interacting with others, although for different reasons, and whacky situations arise because of it.
Similarly adorable, low stakes, slice of life anime. Great for comfort watching. Both are very subtly romantic but nothing overt so far.
Super cute illustrations from both! Also both face with similar ideas of struggles to communicate with others...Super cute n humerous romance from both ends.
Cute high school romance/slice-of-life/comedy where the female lead has difficulty communicating with others
Both are comedy series about shy quiet high school girls and the misunderstandings that arise due to their quietness.
Both of these comedy anime take place in school and the main character is a girl with communication difficulties and they struggle to make friends. Also, the other main character in both is a boy who can understand the main girl quite well. Both of these shows are pretty wholesome and worth watching especially if you liked the other. Both series can feel a bit episodic but there is an overarching plot.
Both characters start off with having a hard time communicating with each other in the beginning and develops towards each episode, most of the characters have similar personalities and give off the same vibe, and it has almost the same comedy.
Both with a female main unable to communicate well with others and being helped by the male main.
Komi is with problem of shy and nervous while aharen is with problem of small volumn
Adapted from the popular web manga series published by Square Enix, this unconventional, surrealist comedy follows an exhausted high school boy who, despite multiple attempts from his friends, still manages to spectacularly… sleep. Much to the chagrin of the energetic (at times bossy) Ohta, Tanaka is often found in a blissful state of lethargy, possessing the ability to doze off in any situation, especially in mid-sentence!

Both revolve around lethargic characters who are difficult to "read", which leads to various comical situations and misunderstandings when other people try to communicate with them or get them to do something. Very similar character dynamics in both.
Similar friendship in both shows between the two main characters. One character has a unique personality and the other character acts as almost more of the quirky character's caretaker rather than just a friend. Also similar tone and art styles.
Im too lazy to write a whole essay because its late but they are very simular and I need to write 100 characters soooooooooooooooooooooooo :P
Both are chill shows featuring super quiet people, very wholesome and overall both great shows, definitely give these a watch
Similar vibes. They're both laid back shows with kind of off the wall humor. When you want a show that's funny but not high energy or loud and if you liike oddball characters you'll like these.

In both Hitoribocchi no OO Seikatsu and Aharen-san wa Hakarenai, the title character suffers from difficulty forming relationships but gradually develop a nucleus of close friends.
Hitoribocchi is more focused on the process of making friends and takes the title character's POV. Aharen is more gag-based comedy and takes the POV from a secondary character.
Yaotome’s the cute president of the shogi (Japanese chess) club at her high school, and she’s pretty sure that her underclassman Ayumu, the only other member, has a huge crush on her. They get together to play shogi every day after school, but no matter what she does, she can’t seem to coax or trick him into confessing his feelings! What she doesn’t know is that Ayumu has made a pact with himself to reveal his love after he’s beaten Yaotome at shogi for the first time. Yet there’s one big issue with this plan…he really sucks!

Both mainly focus on the relationship between two classmates, and both have the same sort of comfy school vibes along with some cute comedy.
My name is Futaba Igarashi, and my senpai, Takeda-san, is annoying. He's big, loud, always in the way, and treats me like a child because he's so tall and I'm so short. But he's also kind, caring, and willing to go above and beyond for me. For example, he stopped some pervert from filming up my skirt when we took the train together, gave me a drink when I was pulling a long shift, and even came over to my place when I was cooped up with a cold. What gives?! If he keeps acting like this, people are going to think we're dating or something...!

Both shows are set in school and have kind of "out there" humor where you can't predidict how things will unfold. Competition without the other person knowing it's a competition is also a common theme in both shows. "Tonari" leans a bit harder into the humor and gag aspect of the show while "Aharen" is a bit more on the slice of life side but they have very similar appeal still.

Both of those rom-coms feature the theme of taking care of a dysfunctional girl. The level of care and dysfunction is different, but there is some undeniable similarity. If you like one, you might like the other one as well.
She is Hanabatake Yoshiko, and she's an idiot through and through. She loves bananas, and she loves her childhood friend Akkun.
The would-be hijinks of the mischievous Matsuno sextuplets are hijacked from episode one by colorful buck-toothed con man Iyami and Chibita, his bald munchkin sidekick. Nearly every episode is a standalone comedy cavalcade with the above cast as well as other quirky locals who show up in a number of different roles as the series shifts effortlessly between time periods and genres, but in most cases, Iyami and Chibita are front and center as partners in crime, a couple of sad sacks scraping by but carrying out scammy schemes in order to get rich quick.
