Accel World - Reviews

Story:

This, in particular, is where Accel World shines. With an engaging premise and a breakneck plot speed, every episode of this show sucks you in. In addition, plot twists and entertaining situations entertain you in the lull between action scenes.

Animation:

I've never been one to pay too close attention to animation, but Accel World brings special attention to it's scenes. While not on par with Sword Art Online, or other highly animation-focused anime, many of the scenes are breathtaking to look at. The action scenes in particular flow very well.

Sound:

I don't have much to say here, as I focus more on the visual aspect rather than the sound. I will say that I believe the voice actors did an exceptional job portraying their characters. I always felt as if the characters had a sort of realism to them, and the voice acting conveyed that very well.

Characters:

The characters in Accel World differ from the anime norm. A lot. Aside from the fact that the protagonist is male, he shares very little in common with many other anime protagonists. Most of them are attractive, brave young men. The main character, Haruyuki, has his a problem. His real life is heavily flawed, being very unpopular, overweight, and spending the majority of his life playing videogames. His life changes when the most popular girl in school, Kuroyukihime(Black Princess), introduces him to the Accelerated World(AKA Accel World). Both of the main characters are very engaging, but their relationship is a strange one. Accel World differs from the norm, and the characters have a lot of depth.

With an entertaining story, engaging characters, fantastic voice acting, and beautiful scenes, Accel World scores high on the scale.

Even though I watched this years ago, I can still remember it. It was a great way to help me pass time and the story line is just so exciting! I'm not sure if it was this show (its been to long but im pretty sure it is this show), but its cool how some of the show had to do with fighting (like taekwondo/karate/that kind of thing).

This anime has one of the most original ideas ever, of course anyone who hasn't watched it would claim it's just a SAO anime without Kirito, but no it's beyond Sao in so many ways it has a better character development way better also the fights and the animation are epic I would say that the studio really nailed it in this anime.

so if you are looking for something amusing, funny, and unpredictable story accompanied by a remarkable amount of Shounen romance.

Also it is unfortunately that season two is still far away 

P.S: this anime has one of the most prettiest female anime character of all time

Upon watching this for the first time I got engulfed in some fun time killing like most anime i end up enjoying, I will not make you wait tho for my biggest disapointment which would be the abrubpt end as the company seemed to think they would recieve another season. 

I think the story of this game is unique and intresting and somethin alot more modern anime are doing and darei say this does it better than some now. 

The characters are quite good in devlopement but sometimes can be extremely cringy or such.

Most of the dub is 100% fine and no issue but sometimes it will sound of but for the most it's fine.

Plot devlopement was nice and not rushed and overall I believe you would enjoy this tho please don't get attached as it doesn't last very long.

Having watched nearly every Videogame/online/virtual anime that I can find, within reasonable limits, I can say with some confidence that Accel World ranks among my favorite shows of all time. In fact, it was my favorite for the longest time. Accel World takes the actual gamer into consideration, showing a distinctive way of incorperating the personal nature and need every gamer shares, even if we won't admit it, with an intense fighting/comedy feeling. The interaction of the characters, though flawed in places, has a reality to it that makes the show believable and the characters relatable. The show itself follows a common theme, the path to more power is followed, but the side themes, relatability, and general feeling are what set this anime apart from any other. Overall, though it will remain one of my favorite series, it ranks rather low in the story, though higher in character interaction and feeling. Finally, as an overall score......7.
