A story revolving around a military organization with more behind the scenes than meets the eye, ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept. and Joker Game both create political mystery and drama. Featuring comparable art styles and excellent sound design, the respective series' share a similar feeling.

In comparison,

Joker Game is a collection of short stories in an episodic format. It contains more action.

ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept. has little action and focuses more on intellectually stimulative driven content via mostly talking; this series contains more nuance.

Restaurant to Another World

Restaurant to Another World

There is a certain restaurant in the first basement level of a multi-tenant building in one corner of a shopping street near the office district. The historical 70-year-old restaurant, marked by a sign with a picture of a cat, is called "Western Cuisine Nekoya." This restaurant looks completely normal through the week, but on Saturdays, it opens in...

The atmospheres that both shows create are very similar. The plots both focus heavily on internal dialogue describing the characters' questions and faults.

Both shows revolve around food, but in slightly different ways. In Restaurant to Another World, the story is built upon the people of the magical world coming to the Nekoya restaurant as an escape from the trouble of their lives. We, the viewer, get to see the peoples' stories who come to the restaurant and get to experience the effect that good food and company have upon their lives. So far it has only been for the better. Food in ACCA serves a different purpose. It serves as a medium of conversation which is the driving force of the plot. It adds a touch of realism that ACCA cares so much for the effect that food has on peoples' lives. People spend a massive amount of time each day eating and seeing how eating brings people together for the important, plot driving, conversations in ACCA is an essential humanizing touch that changes how I consumed and experienced the show.

Thus far, Restaurant to Another World, has no end or greater plot in sight. ACCA, however has a tumultuous undertone of deception created from the political intrigue of a "military" coup.

*also, pretty sure that both authors/producers of the series have an oral fixation

ACCA and Princess Principal are set in similar settings where the characters reside in cities with strong government presence. Both shows are thriller shows features government drama and espionage. Main differences is that Princess Principle is emphases characterization on cute action spy girls while ACCA features a more of political drama mystery with a suave main character who smokes way too much (lol).

Special shoutout to Ryo Takahashi who did the OST for both ACCA and Princess Principle and composed the OP for Princess Principle.
