Visually very nice, very effective in being a medium for this particular story. I got to the credits and thought, "well, that was ok, I guess," but the ending to the story happens after the credits, which takes this short film from a simple story about the linear journey of one cicada, into an interesting world-building narrative that piques interest and leaves the viewer speculating in all the best ways. Visually, it is both calming and intentionally unsettling in such a way that culminates to underline the narrative thesis at the end. Definitely worth a few minutes of your time to watch on Vimeo.
