This can be a good potential for a volleyball sports anime.

The unfortunate thing is it's being compared too much to Haikyuu!! which is currently the undisputed frontrunner for a volleyball sports anime.  However, there is something to like about this show because it's FUN, if you like volleyball. I see that there's potential for greatness if we do get a next season.

I like the grit and the seriousness of the whole show. They were veering away from the humor that our frontrunner had in spades. We can see a backstory of how players struggle to be the best and what they do to get to their goals. We also see a struggle of quitting or wanting to quit the sport. Friendships and team dynamics still play a good chunk of the whole show.

I do believe there's a lack in some character development in such a way that some episodes speed through the part wherein we start appreciating the main lead/s. And the sad part I have already forgotten some of the names of the people in the team.  There hasn't been much time to form a bond as there's nothing much that was said about the new team members yet. I also found it a little jarring to go to an episode focusing on the other team and their backstory. We haven't fallen in love with the main team yet, why are we here now?

What I can say for people who will watch this before Haikyuu!! Is that there's a bit of an assumption that you know a lot of volleyball terms that come into play. They have the explanation of the volleyball terms halfway with a cut scene but it's not enough. So coming into this anime without knowing anything about volleyball might confuse you a little bit.

The art is clean, the characters look good. So all in all, an enjoyable show. It's a little in the middle.  Maybe next season?

Where do I start......... From the first episode we can see that author wanted to replicate Haikyuu by making a main character that is so focused on the game that doesn't care about his teammates and will do anything to win. Same applyies to our character who caused harm to one of his teammates and moves to another city where he meets his childhood friend. Whit who'm he starts playing and he finally has a team who he doesn't cause harm.

The story is already seen and not that special. The same goes for the characters.

But Art is really beautiful I really like the art. I really recommend the anime it's a really good sport anime.

Wish.com Haikyuu

I personally couldn't handle the always way too serious mood and all the useless, nonsensical 'drama'.

Characters.inc not found.

Characteristics? Never heard of them, they switch every other second, right? Well that's how it was in the anime.

Animation, I don't want to criticize animation, just because of how much effort and time it takes. But damn I didn't like it. Not the style, the animation itself. It's messy, maybe not, I can't really find the words, but it's just a no. Not the worst, that's for sure, but it's got light years ahead till it could be any actual quality.

Soundtrack was beautiful tho.By soundrack I mean opening and closing songs.

When I first heard that a volleyball anime is coming out I was so excited. However I was so dissappointed when I watch it. I mean there was a bunch of dram , you can't see the character deveplopment you want to see. Fisrt when I read the plot it was quite good but the way they adapted into anime was terrible. And also desing of the characters weren't that good but only main character was quite good. Whatever if you like watching dram, school, some sport genres you can watch but if you ask me DON'T WATCH!!!

I had no expectations of this anime. I just saw it on Crunchyroll and decided to give it a shot. The story is about a genius setter wanting to go to Nationals. He struggles socially and ends up in middle school and high school with a childhood friend and together they work towards Nationals. The characters aren't very nice or wholesome (lol) and the story isn't very feelgood/wholesome like Haikyuu, 2.43 is more dramatic. It was just okay and something to watch if you have nothing to watch.
