To be perfectly honest, the beginning of the anime was incredibly dull.

As the protagonist is weak willed, and is frustrating to look at or hear. But as the story developps and you get in a few episodes you get hooked up to it rather fast. Overall I really enjoyed the anime as you can see the developpement and progress Youko makes from a ridiculous selfcentered brat to an awesome protagonist, and you actually get decent understanding of the world as you watch it, which makes it even more enjoyable. I couldn't recommend this anime more.
