This story is certainly endearing to all who enjoy a simple romance story line. Although the story line of a "student-teacher" relationship is extremely overused, it is always nice to see new takes on the old ideas.
In this particular story, the heroin, Uni Kururugi, is a stony faced bishoujo who is willing to look foolish if it means achieving a goal. Another stereotypical personality trait you see in many manga heroin. However, she puts a new spin on it; instead of yelling and expressing her love loudly in public, as is so often seen in series like this, she realizes that that will accomplish nothing, and makes sure to keep her relationship with her sensei a secret.
Not to mention she is a genius in both academics and sports. Though it is a little confusing as to how she can speak French fluently, and yet is unable to pass her English class without extensive tutoring. Oh well, little discrepancies like that are to be expected, no?
Anyways, all in all, I enjoyed reading the majority of this story, and would recommend it to any who enjoy a good, old fashioned shoujo story with a new twist on it.
