Destiny of the Shrine Maiden

Mar 30, 2012

ADVISORY: Destiny of the Shrine Maiden (Kannazuki no Miko) is a series that features mature subject matter. I would not reccomend the show be watched by anyone under the age of 16. I'd say 17 just to be sure. It is most definetly not for young children. This is a show I should have never enjoyed. A show that had such a weird case of false advertising it wasn't even funny. With a theme song by KOTOKO and mecha, what could have gone wrong? Easy. A lot of things. Destiny of the Shrine Maiden, or Kannazuki no Miko (Preistesses of the Godless Month) is a show based on the manga by the duo ... See full review

Aquarion Evol

Sep 29, 2012

First off, I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the original Aquarion. It hit all the right notes in what I look for in a series. 1) It took itself at face value. 2) The cast was entertaining. 3) The plot was interesting. 4) The titular mech looked FREAKING AWESOME, and 5) Over the top action every episode. Basically, it had heart. It was missing one thing, despite this. This sole thing that would've made that show so much more entertaining and consisent.
Enter 2011/2012's Aquarion EVOL. Taking place roughly 12,000 some odd years after the original series, it features a brand new cast, a brand new DEAVA, a brand new... See full review

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny

Mar 30, 2012

Gundam SEED Destiny. Oh boy. I'll have fun with this review. I have a lot of comments on this. PLOT: GSD takes place two years after the events of the original Gundam SEED. The story begins with "Alex Dino" escorting Cagalli to Armory One, to meet with the new Chairman of ZAFT, Gilbert Durrandal. But wait! The armory is attacked and guess what? GUNDAM. HIJACK. AGAIN. GSD's plot, or what you can call a plot, is literally a copy and paste of SEED's. No innovation regarding the flaws of the series. The show constantly swaps POVs from the Minerva's, ZAFT's new battleship to the Archangel and... See full review
