Fruits Basket

Jun 2, 2010

I am a fan of shoujo series, which you can easily tell if you know me.  Fruits Basket is the second I have ever seen, preceded only by Sailor Moon.  In a way, you could call Fruits Basket the anime that turned me back onto shoujo.  In my very early years of watching anime, I mostly watched what I could find on TV.  Dragonball Z, Sailor Moon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Bobobo, etc.  There was a time I didn't even know it was called anime, so you can imagine how it didn't even occur to me to look for other "anime" online.  That said, I didn't know what to expect when one day my friend... Magikano

Jan 24, 2011

From the description of Magikano's story and the various images you can find of the characters, you would never guess just how aggressive and violent the girls can be. If "Slapstick" and "Jealousy" had a baby together, you'd get Magikano. I got this series completely on a whim and I couldn't be happier with my aquisition of such a hilarious series. Sadly it's a short series, but then the short series usually are very good. It is so much fun to watch and involves an array of events as normal as a trip to the pool to things as strange as talking cat panties (didn't see that one... See full review

I don't write reviews very often, but when I do it is a policy of mine to write only for the series I love. I feel that if it wasn't worth watching, then it's not worth spending even more time writing about. I thoroughly enjoyed Cat Planet Cuties. Even my brother, who spends most of his time watching the action packed bad ass anime with tons of fighting said this was one of the best anime he had ever seen. So I think it's safe to say Cat Planet Cuties deserves some love. So without further ado, let's break this series down. Story I'm pretty sure I don't have to tell you I didn't buy a series called... When They Cry: Higurashi

Jul 31, 2011

I love Higurashi. It's a very interesting anime. As opposed to just reviewing Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (When They Cry), I'd like to review Higurashi as a whole. The reason being that while it is a very enjoyable anime/manga as a stand-alone series, you can't fully appreciate it (or even comprehend it) without watching it's relations Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Rei as well. STORY: The story of Higurashi always seems to go the same. Each series has several arcs or sagas in it. Each arc starts with the peaceful villagers of Hinamizawa enjoying themselves in their quiet little... See full review
