.Neon Genisis Evangelion- Uh why the hell not? This is the Holy Grail of all Anime!! Hidiaki Ano was able to capture what many adolescents feel like in this project. When the End of Evangelion always makes many people depressed; I am the complete opposite. I am always filled with hope and inspiration after I finish watching it. Shinji's big scream it's always ground breaking inspiration.
.Cowboy Bebop- This was the 2nd anime I ever saw, and to this day has me in tears at the end
.Serial Experiments: Lain- Nothing is more depressing than erasing yourself for the greater good. This is my pity party anime. I can't tell you how many times I have absolutely loathed my own being after watching this, and still love this anime. How the hell is this possible?
.Pale Cacoon- This OVA was magnificent. I simply could not tear my eyes away from the screen. I can't recall a time when I was so deeply moved. Absolutely wonderful. Ergo Proxy fans would love this.
.FLCL- I first saw the episode Firestarter. That's episode 2. I was blown away by the art style. Emotionally torn to pieces from the music and symbolism. literally this anime changed my life and my way of thinking. The band the Pillows did a fantastic job of the soundtrack. Hybrid Rainbow is still the most beautiful song I have heard to date. Nothing will give you chill bumps like this anime.
6. Death Note- This one really made me think what would I do if Ryukku gave me a Death Note? The only thing that I would do differently would be that I couldn't be goaded into L's trap. I mean L did no actual crime therefore wouldn't incur my real wrath. Using a criminal or not. Would I be able to outsmart L? Certainly not, but I sure as hell wouldn't mind making a pass at him. (damn I love smart guys!) Particularly strange manga. The art was unusual. Music was excellent.
.Full Metal Alchemist- I treasure this anime. I named my daughter Nina after seeing the Chimera Nina. That episode was so heartbreaking. I particularly like Wrath; especially during the movie. The movie itself was mostly trash though. Fantastic Manga, and Heart wrenching music. An absolute must see.
.Naruto- Don't have time to bitch about it, but I love all of the manga and anime.
.Bleach-awesome fight scenes, excellent plot twists, and not to mention the drool worthy Ikaku. 2nd best manga I've read to date.
.Ergo Proxy-I loved the anime's cyberpunk feel left me with this aching to do something. It does take a while to get into, but if you're patient enough you find numerous pearls in this oyster of an anime.
11. Gantz-ABSOLUTELY THE BEST MANGA I'VE EVER READ!
.Hellsing- Outstanding Manga.Alucard just oozes Sex appeal in the anime.
13. Vision of Escaflowne- I loved this anime when I was much younger, and not married. The Mecha wasn't to overdone. The music was astounding, but what else do you expect from the great Yokko Kano.
.12 Kingdoms-I really liked the concept of this anime. It had an art style I have never seen before, and some fantasy concepts that were used in ways I would have never thought possible. (example would have to be that babies were born from a nut picked off of a tree.)
.Ouran High School Host Club-This is one of the best comedies I have seen to date. You feel so damn sorry for Haruhi having to put up with all of those rich bastards.
.Trigun-Vash is the type of character that I wish to strive to be like. With the exception of being a guy.
.Outlaw Star-This anime is very old school I watched it when it first made it's debut on Adult Swim all those years ago. It has always held a place in my heart. The theory of the Galactic Leyline fascinates me to no end.
.Okane Ga Nai- that's a secret. I'm not telling.
.Inu Yasha-I've decided to swear off any of her work now.
20. Lovely Complex-Both manga and anime have side splitting comedy. It's very romantic, and has the right amount of drama.
.Hana yori Dango- I simply fell in love with the story of this anime. The art style could have been much better though. The plot was so hard on the soul, and you felt so much for Makino's trials.
.Mononoke- The art style and plot approach were so unique I couldn't help, but stay up all night and watch the entire thing. I was even more syced out by the medicine seller making an appearance in Ayakashi~Japanese Classic Horror.
.Nana- This drama is so heart breaking to me. I know what it is like to lose one of your closest friends to a man they didn't love and were pregnant with. For the sake of her child she gave up her dreams, her friends, and the good person she was to marry this man. Please kid's if you have sex please please. I can't stress this enough; Please have proper protection. There are many children in this world who have parents that don't care about them, abuse them, neglect them simply because they tell their kid's that they are mistakes or they were just to young to become parents.
.Paradise Kiss- Very lovely art style. I simply loved Georgie's whole outlook on life, and his mind set of what he wanted to do with his life. Yukari was also a very awkward character in my opinion.
.Samurai Champloo- The fighting is simply amazing and fast paced. They could have toned down at least the urban music to it a bit, but the plot in essence was pure gold. ~I love the song San Francisco~
.Trinity Blood- Beautiful animation, fantastic plot, excellent music. What more can you ask for? There are rumors floating around that there will be a movie for this series. If it's true I can't wait; If not I'm bummed.
.King of Bandit Jing- At first I thought nothing of this anime, and put it off for a long time. Then I watched it. What a fool I was this was so great. Every new town had deep themes that had me baffled, and thought more about life.
.Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge- Ahahahahaha! This is my kinda anime, and exactly how I was when in high school to a degree. My only difference with the lead female is that I could stand radiant beings without getting excessive nose bleeds(in fact I downright critized them publicly for their lack of intellect), or having a rich auntie.
.Saiunkoku Mongatari- As the campaign of '08 finished I found myself liking political animes more and this one fits the Bill.
.Skip Beat!- Ah where do I start!? Well this is my favorite Shoujo manga so far. I can't wait to see what they do with it, and if it even holds a candle to the manga.X-_-X
.Soul Eater- I knew from the very first episode that I was going to love this anime. As the series progressed it had an increasing snowball effect on me.Stien and Death the Kidd are my top two favorite characters, but I also admit that I find Maka and Chronos just as lovable. ~"For being born. Gomen nasai.~
