In the beginning there was the word. And then another word, and another. On the second day, the sentence was born, on the third, the paragraph. By the seventh day there were more words than the stars in the sky.

And I'd still top that if you let me talk your ear off.

I don't know what line you're talking about (there is no episode 3) but my favourite is:

"An exclusive girlfriend... the perfect girlfriend... But she's just a silent, cold-skinned doll. This man bears the burden of the sad contradiction that is the garage kit."

Can you hear the pity? Can you hear the simultaneous disdain? Can you hear anything past the roaring laughter in your ear?

The first episode alone has two Char references and one more MS Gundam reference. Brilliant stuff. My favourite interview is the guy with the video collection. I laughed so much. Just the idea he never watches anything - just records obsessively. This is marvellous. This did for me what Genshiken couldn't. Although I'm now wondering whether it's because I just didn't get all the references at the time. Here, just being able to appreciate someone thinking their female friend looks like Minmay feels satisfying.

Honestly, painfully honest anime with hilarious deadpan humour. I want a review from you. Or else.

I have no idea about your dirty mind, but with a straight face I can tell you, the title translates to: Masturbation Master Kurosawa.

Take that as you will. *poker face*

Oui! It is an interesting manga indeed. A story about the redemption of some of the most pathetic characters I've yet seen. The ending dragged on a bit (you know, that one scene too many when stopping at a particular point shortly after the arc is resolved would make the show seem so much braver) but I was pleasantly surprised by how well all the masturbation worked as a motif. Lol. Does that just sound stupid? I suppose it does. And in retrospect that Light comparison is a superficial one - Kurosawa moves away from that sinister monologuing fairly quickly.
