In the beginning there was the word. And then another word, and another. On the second day, the sentence was born, on the third, the paragraph. By the seventh day there were more words than the stars in the sky.

And I'd still top that if you let me talk your ear off.

Hahaha! Wow, I've never known anyone to dislike Eureka Seven that much. You are an odd one, valondar.

So yes, what happened to buddy groups being about discussion? I must say, I'm almost starting to find talking to myself in the X TV thread highly amusing. NOT. -_-

Thank you. I'm almost certain it's because Princess Tutu's in it. AMIRIGHT?

Oh good. I'll get back to you on NHK once I've ploughed through some of the stuff I have on my list now. Once Gravitation and Bamboo Blade are over with, and then I get through Future Police Urashiman, I will get to NHK. Okay, here is a challenge. When I start NHK, you have to start Escaflowne. And we'll follow each other's progress. We could do an episode a day. Haha. Swapping favourites.

Now that you've said 'real human drama', that's got me intrigued. Maybe if you said less about things being pretentious and more about there being human drama, I'd follow your recs. Haha. I'm starting to get to this stage where nothng surprises me and nothing makes me care anymore. Nobody'll convince me that Gunslinger Girl is in any way relevant, no matter how 'deep' it is. LOTGH was a real surprise because I thought it'd take me a year to watch, and I was prepared to maybe do two eps a week at most... something dry, pretentious, irritatingly in love with its setting... something like Twelve Kingdoms (I hope Sheex reads this). And everyone was gonna tell me how amazing it was while I just squinted and had to pretend I cared about its historical significance. But not at all. Turned out to have all the things I love about storytelling, let alone anime: excellent drama, fantastic real human characters, and a political story that's as relevant today as it was back then. Do you mind me waffling on your profile? Because I'm in a waffling mood. In fact, the waffling is helping me not get all morose today. Eh. Don't ask me why I'd be morose; it's just the side of the bed on which I got up this morning... and the side of the chair I'm sitting on right now.
