Locquacious loser. Or is it laconic?
To be slightly more verbose, my ratings for anime on this profile reflect my enjoyment level and little more. Or, well, my enjoyment and further reflection at any rate. The Golgo 13 film and OVA were certainly guilty pleasures (and I loved their seedy decadence and stoic manliness), but I can't in good conscience give them higher ratings than I have.
You might consider these pretty leinent ratings, but I'm a pretty leinent guy. And I figure if Roger Ebert and other film critics can give full marks more than once in a while, why can't I if I feel the product is genuinely worthy?
Anyway, I consider anything with a 3.5/5 rating or higher good and worth watching. A 3/5 rating may be worth watching - it depends. Either it's pretty good but not eye-popping (most shorts would qualify under this) or it's just above mediocre. Or it's a mixture of brilliance and crap. It really varies. Whatever it is I lean towards liking it.
2.5/5 is usually something I'm also strongly mixed on, more often than not disliking it - or liking it but having little in rational defence of that like. Or maybe I on one level appreciate what they're doing even if I don't personally care for it - Dead Leaves would be a good example here.
2/5 and below are bad and I cannot recommend, period.
Ratings can fluctuate wildly because I can be conflicted on certain titles. I offer no consistency beyond the fact that if I rank something higher than something else I'm pretty sure I like that thing more.

Konnichiwa! :) I like movies and shorts better. There are these interupptions that you can't avoid when you watch series. When you watch movies you can sit down and watch the whole story without it taking so much time that you have to leave some till the next day or so. But of course. The quality of the story micht decrease if it's made in a way it shouldn't be. Ergo Proxy could never have been a movie and I can't imagine Angel's Egg as a serie. But I don't know :} ... Oh well, I'll keep an eye on your ratings and see if I can find anything that suits my taste :} Have a nice day
Konnichiwa! Hey ^-^ Ehe. I'm kind of surprised of how much anime you've seen and yet that is like 2/3rds of the amount you still wish to see. Impressive :) Don't think I'll be able to find that much in a long while at least.
And oh. Creds for having watched angel's egg ^-^ I liked it a lot.
Cool Top 5 Anime! Roll on shiny paint drying :) I've managed to locate Angel Egg think so hopefully I can give that a go soon but I'm back to work next week so less time for anime and other fun slacking activities.
