Allright. It's been a while since I've done something like this so bear with me as I try to find my way again.I did quite a lot of them in the past on a different website which you can find here: http://legendsofsatura.net/index.php/forum125/6-reviewing-guild.html

....They probably aren't very good though but please do stop by if you have the time and inclination. Originally the site was for writers, mostly original but also fanfiction.

Also I'm Dutch so there will be spelling errors. If you find them annoying give me a shout and I'll try to fix them.

Oh, I will try to keep spoilers to a minimum but there will be some. Usually the worse I rate an anime the more spoilers this will contain. You have been warned

So, you have probably already read what the animation is about in the discription given by Anime-Planet, which is the same as on the box. I will therefore try not go into the story that much unless I'm ranting about something (spoilers).

ART: It looks amazing. I liked the visual world created in the anime and the colours simply leap off the screen to bitchslap you in the face whenever the mood serves them.

SOUND: ...Meh. I can say very little bad about it and very little good either. Nothing stood out to me.

Voice acting is sometimes borderline annoying with the small children characters in the anime. Sadly there are many such characters and at some point they even became main characters.

CHARACTERS: Main character is probably Neptune who has the most screen time. As one of the rulers of Planeptune she is fundamental is upholding the newly signed peace treaty. She is irrisponsible and likes to loaf around while doting on her sister Nepgear.

Noir is another CPU ruler in Planeptune and much more responsible than Neptune. This is why Neptune turns to her in order to learn about being a good CPU.

Vert and Blanc are the remaining 2 CPU rulers in Planeptune. Vert is a hardcore gamer and appears the oldest of the rulers. Blanc is visually the youngest and has the shortest temper.

STORY: Oh joy.... An anime based on a game that I've never heard of and that has a ton of characters that simply must be in the anime. I mentioned before, in my Blazblue review, my problem with these type of anime.

All the characters are named after computer parts or computer systems which was a bit confusing for me at times. Not because I didn't know what these systems were but more because I did know. I kept trying to figure out what part a character portrait and it distracted me from the story, such as it was.

One thing that should be mentioned is that the CPU's have 2 forms. The first is their default and is that of a young girl to a young woman. The other is a more powerful and gives them a adult form.

For fans of the game it will be a feast of recognition for others it will be an effort to try to figure out who is who and why.

4/10 story
8/10 animation
6/10 sound
4/10 characters
4/10 overall
