Haha, I can related, but being a guy I couldnt exactly be a sailor scout. We mainly just played power rangers... and when we did go into sailor moon, we made up our own guys who looked like Tuxedo Mask (we didnt know about the outer senshi) :P

Glad I'm not the only one with that kind of experience!
