I'm kinda perfectionistic and hard on ratings.
My rating principles;
5 stars: exceptional.
4.5 stars: awsome, unforgettable, almost flawless for me. perhaps i'll be watching it again and again, once at least.
4 stars:excellent, couldn't wait for the next episode. surely i'll be watching it again. maybe again and again.
3.5 stars: good, looked forward for the next episode. maybe i'll be watching it again later.
3 stars: fair. perhaps i'll be watching if sequels come out, but no chance to watch it or any of the sequels again.
2 stars: often made me feel the time flowed slow in a bad sense.
1 star: utterly boring and painful to have watched.
not to mention they are arbitrary and not strict, and just apply for me.
plainly my ratings tell how much i enjoyed. haha that's only natural.
about my taste;
i think basically i like either serious or utterly hilarious shows.
thought-provokingness (especially about what is to live) and mystery elements are plus.
i don't have any interest in cheap cliched fanservicy stuffs, though the storyline itself is so good, i may enjoy it.
still no cheap fanservice is a plus.
maybe i care more about story than characters. also i care about direction and script/storytelling not just the plots.
i want to watch shows like no other.
lately i realized that i had enough of somewhat tolkienesque high-fantasy.
also lately i noticed that i enjoy sports shows pretty much (including chihayafuru).
