Some good stuff: Nodame Cantabile, Monster, 12 Kingdoms, Spice and Wolf, Darker than BLACK, Aoi Bungaku, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

Aside from anime, I read a lot of fiction. I try to read at least 50 books a year. Mostly, fantasy, historical, adventure and some unique chick-lit once in a while. If you have recommendations, let me know :D

I also dabble in graphic design and food photography <3

Why do I have so many dropped series? My theory is that there's plenty of fantastic anime waiting on my To-Watch list so there is no point in sitting through something just for the sake of finishing it. I do give most of them second chances when someone convinces me though. I dropped Seirei no Moribito and Noein initially but ending up loving them!

Anyone else out there love movie soundtracks? My current addiction is Thor. Also love Black Swan, Pan's Labyrinth and a lot more.

ALSO I'll try watching anything once as long as it doesn't sell itself on fanservice...

UPDATE Jan 2012:

FINALLY BACK FROM HALF A YEAR OF ANIME HIATUS! (So sorry for ignoring messages etc... it really wasn't my intention.)

theAlien? My real name is commonly mispronounced as alien and thus my friends have dubbed me "the Alien"

Meant to say my Microeconomics exam was on the same day as my Marketing exam, I did better than expected on the Micro, as my mark was boosted by at least 8% to B- but went from an A- to a B by bombing the MKT one, with a 57. But I must have passed them all since my lowest mark is a D+ XD Spent the day before the two exams studying, through the night as well. Got no sleep and when I went home to study some more, felt so tired.

Hate it when they're so close together, especially of one is math. And can totally relate spending a few days trying to cover all the material XD Almost, International Economics and Finance, unless that is another term for Commerce. My Micro teacher just read off the slides as well for the 3 hour lecture, sometimes letting us leave early. And he's like that for me as well! Lacking emotion and making it so boring... dreadful. I slept through some of them and for the last month of classes for it, just didn't bother showing up. Didn't even need the textbook with his slides though :) It was 8 AM for me as well, and those are the worst classes.

So much science! No way would I be able to handle all that, future Research President. Environmental Science sounds pretty cool, I'm expecting you to save the rainforests and those melting ice caps. Calculus? Blech, didn't even get to it in my math course last year, but it sounds completely dreadful. And no need to apologize, I done some ranting myself so you're A-OK. ;)

Took it again, and I'm so-so at it, but I can do pretty well if I put everything into it and nothing else. Or at least salvage my mark. But I enjoy it, even if it's hard to pick it up again years later.

They can turn a decent anime into a great one for me ^_^ I should have kept up with Hanasaku but stalled for some reason, and haven't tried Penguin yet but wouldn't mind starting it up. Haven't been doing much with this season and lagging behind on almost everything.

The British make great comedies, love the stuff I watched from them from way back. Haven't been watching much live-action TV apart from some scenes from Whose Line Is It Anyway?

I really enjoyed it. It was very unique, which appeals to me. There were some repeating themes throughout the show which annoyed me a bit, but overall I liked it. The ending didn't disappoint either. It was a rather beautiful way to wrap it up. :)

Madoka Magica! :D

As for stuff to catch up on from last year, I myself have alot yet to catch up on. I've heard great things about Steins;Gate, Chihayafuru, and Future Diary. As for me, I am currently watching My Ordinary Life and it is hilarious! :D Ikoku Meiro no Croisée was good too (but, reallllllly slow paced) and I found the setting really interesting.

Hello! I really enjoy listening soundtracks too! Anime OSTs mostly , but from movies as well, for instant District 9 is one of my favourite movies with beautiful OST. Any recommendations? =]

Oh, I had completely forgotten that comment!^^

I have no idea which one I should recommend either because, as you said, he's written so many of them! Ehrm... I guess The Shining if you like horror, The Green Mile if you like drama, Cell if you like zombies. Oh, and if you want a weird mix of horror, drama, romance, fantasy and Western I really recommend The dark Tower series!I usually read well... Stephen King. Other than that I like fantasy, I still go through the Harry Potter series sometimes, The Lord of the Rings, Narnia etc.  Sadly I don't read as much as I used to. A few years ago I was up on about 50 books a year like you, but now I doubt it's much higher than 10^^
