I don't really know what to put here so I'll just add whatever.
So I been watching anime since I was young; however, around 2006 or 2005 , I have a crap memory, I started getting more into anime. I recently took a break from anime but now I'm starting back.
I'm a really laid back person and like to chill I'm always up for watching some new anime that I haven't seen or heard of before, main reason I'm here. I really wasn't going to participate much when I first decided to join the site but for some reason I couldn't help myself.
Oh yeah and as you can see some of my personal information maybe vague but that's mainly because I'm paranoid.
I like all types of anime, pretty much open to all genres but I do prefer the slower more relaxing ones or something that makes me think. The more unique the better!
Since you can't tell what my top 5 are from looking at profiles yet I decided to list them here temporarily, might actually end up making a top 10 list.
Kino's Journey
Bartender
Comedy
Pale Cocoon
Diary of Tortov Roddle
I don't know what else to put so I guess I might put some more info later.

Shame on me for forgetting what a great soundtrack Speegrapher had!! It's even in my top 10 animes!! *shakes her head*
Saw your post in the forums and decided to come by and say hello ;)
Very nice recommendations!!!!
Keep up the great work!
Thanks for replying back. I too like psychological horror which is why I really wanted to like Boogiepop. The 1st 3-4 episodes I thought were excellent, but I kind of lost it after that. I didn't like the character designs. They seemed to generic and I had trouble identifying each character.
Elfen Lied can be placed in the psychological horror genre in some ways. However, the series which I think you'd love is Higurashi - When They Cry. By the end of the 1st story arc (1st 4 episodes), you should be feeling quite paranoid and freaked out. Higurashi also has a great non-linear storyline which provides some answers as it presents new questions. The animation isn't the best, but I'll take a well-told story over beautiful animation anyday... just like Kino's Journey!
Great top 5 list. Kino's Journey is an absolute masterpiece in episodic storytelling. Gunslinger Girl's exploration of the varying fratello relationships, along with excellent animation, makes it a top 10 series for me too. BTW, there's going to be a second season of GG next year! And of all the Miyazaki films, Mononoke and Spirited Away are the tops.
The only one I can't agree with is Boogiepop. I really tried to understand it, but found I was way off when I finished and read a synopsis.
If you liked Kino's, then you should watch Haibane Renmei. Haibane is about the closest thing to a Miyazaki TV series you'll find... and I think it's even better than all of his movies. It's an absolutely touching series with lots of symbolism and deep reflection.
Konnichiwa!
hehe, thanks^^
em..sorry to ask, but what is it on your pic?^^
