This is a sports manga through and through. The whole purpose of the story so far (and I'm in volume 4) is to introduce Maruo Eiichirou, a guy who just started playing tennis, mostly because of a girl he likes. Like a good sports manga, he starts slow and is on his path to achieve greatness.   Characters are somewhat likeable, but we know very little of them. This may become the weakness of this manga, since they have yet to give us enough information to develop a bond with them.
