I've got a small problem here. I've looked at a few people profiles recently and I've noticed a continuing trend. I've seen many people marking the same anime as "won't watch" I personally haven't marked any anime as won't watch, because I'm a fan of all anime and will give anything a fair shot. If I watch a show and don't like it, then at least it would be under dropped instead of won't watch.
But that's not my main problem.
The problem is that the anime that I'm seeing repeatedly are anime that I consider to be good. Nonconformity seems to be a trend these days. People refusing to watch a good anime simply because it's not popular in North America? I mean come on, that's just rediculous. I've seen many people who have marked Naruto, Bleach, Dragon Ball Z, Inuyasha, and many others as won't watch for the sole reason that it's popular in North America. I don't know for a fact that that's why these people won't watch it, but that's the conclusion I've been lead to when I hear people say a show sucks because everyone else watches it.
Now I can see how the anime that I've mentioned seem to have a lot of filler. Because they're popular the animators put out filler instead of waiting for more to be made so they don't lose their audience. And some of them can be long and drawn out. (example: in the Namek saga of Dragon Ball Z it took several episodes for 5 minutes to pass) Anyway you look at it, just because a show is drawn out or popular doesn't mean you should completely shut out the idea of watching it. My favorite anime character of all time comes from one of those anime that I've mentioned.
Enough with this rant. I think I sufficiently got my point across.
