Hi there! I'm a not-so-normal girl living in Silicon Valley Jr (Seattle). I work for a software company as a writer of developer documentation, but my background is computer science and programming. In my spare time I enjoy console RPGs such as my obsession, Dragon Quest (or old school PC ones such as Ultima aka best games ever, or Sierra adventure classics), anime (duh!), sci fi, movies, my cats, and various other nerd things.

I created the Anime-Planet site many years ago, as a simple hub for a community. It has grown so much since then, and I'm proud to call myself its creator and admin. Please enjoy your stay here!

My anime list stats and uses:

Watched: as it should be used, this means I've seen the entire series.

Watching: Either am currently watching or plan on continuing at some point soon

Stalled: I mark things as stalled when I either can't continue (no more episodes available), or plan on finishing eventually - just not right now.

Dropped: I don't plan on finishing this anime.

Hi Sothis! It is great to hear that we're finally getting better sorting options for personal anime lists; I look forward to using them :)

I don't why but, I love watching the animes that you give a low rating to. Maybe because I love to blow my brains out or because I am a masochist. Anyways, keep up the reviews of bad anime! xD

Just wanted to note also that there have been MANY notifications that you haven't commented on that have done EXACTLY what you have asked, which is contacting the blogger and letting them know (one time only) where they can relocate their blog content in order to preserve it.  I know the problems are the things that get our attention and the things we have to deal with, but just wanted to point out that not ALL the work done is problematic, and/or done wrong. A good deal of it has been done just the way you wanted it.

It is true at first that some members were getting "spam" messages, because messages were being left on both the blogger's profile page AND on their blog page.

I myself "spammed" chii, because I was leaving individual messages about where to move each specific blog instead of just one message on profile page.  So, even though chii was getting several different recommendations (depending on where blog should be moved), all contained the same beginning message, and several had the same recommended place to move the blog. So it seemed to chii that she got many messages spamming her saying the same thing.

When she notified me to stop "spamming" her, I realized this problem and I apologized to her and then took steps to notify all my volunteers to ONLY leave message on Profile page and to make certain they only left THAT message if no-one else had left a message. As far as I know, everyone except one has done it that way since, and I don't believe there were any further instances where anyone got multiple notifications.

The problem you mention (the person who received like 30 spam notifications) would only have happened when the project first started, when I was encouraging volunteers to leave specific relocation messages on blog posts and a generic message on their Profile page, and most likely I myself am the culprit who is guilty.

This was modified soon after, and I don't think it has happened after the modification was made.  And although specific relocation specifications have not been included in all cases, each notification does instruct the member to contact the notifier for more specific instructions if they want assistance moving their blog content.  I have stressed the instructions in the document now to make sure to try to include that relocations specification directly rather than indirectly in just leaving a generic message.

Hopefully, now the messages everyone is getting meet with your approval.
