Hi there! I'm a not-so-normal girl living in Silicon Valley Jr (Seattle). I work for a software company as a writer of developer documentation, but my background is computer science and programming. In my spare time I enjoy console RPGs such as my obsession, Dragon Quest (or old school PC ones such as Ultima aka best games ever, or Sierra adventure classics), anime (duh!), sci fi, movies, my cats, and various other nerd things.

I created the Anime-Planet site many years ago, as a simple hub for a community. It has grown so much since then, and I'm proud to call myself its creator and admin. Please enjoy your stay here!

----------------

My anime list stats and uses:

Watched: as it should be used, this means I've seen the entire series.

Watching: Either am currently watching or plan on continuing at some point soon

Stalled: I mark things as stalled when I either can't continue (no more episodes available), or plan on finishing eventually - just not right now.

Dropped: I don't plan on finishing this anime.

Oh my word yes, you're the most promising person i have talked to that loves this kind of stuff.

I regret to say i have not read starship troopers yet but it is on my must read the same as the original A.y.n.i.k after i buy it because a physical copy is a must. Honestly i want to own sst as well but i'm not sure what version would be the best, i'm looking for the original without edits or any changes what so ever.

But Edge of tomorrow (a.y.n.i.k) knights of sidonia and ender's game are like the closest you can get to the Muv-Luv experience, sidonia and EoT specifically being Muv-Luv alternative while Ender's game is more like a mix between Unlimited and Alternative. Sidonia being the closest in many many ways to the point i'm pretty sure the author has read Muv-Luv.

But yes, if you're a fan of horror and nothing shakes you and you're looking for something very different with a highly misleading genre shift from slice of life, comedy to horror, military, drama, sci-fi i have to say it's a must if you're at this point.

At first it's very light hearted and mainly focuses on what you would expect from a love letter to anime/mecha fans meaning references/homeages/parodies and other fun stuff one thing AoT failed on.

It's pretty much a side hobby of mine to find material that Muv-Luv references or anything that's possibly inspired by ML. (hence my lists.)

It's not until later pseudoscience and heavy sci-fi starts to take place.

It's not for everyone but i have a feeling you will be a fan.

And i'm just waiting for the terraformers anime it's another one i feel is gonna be entertaining.

You say you like anything like Attack on Titan so i can assume you're a large fan.

Have you watched or read Starship troopers, ender's game, edge of tomorrow (all you need is kill?)

I'm gonna need a reply if you're a fan or not as well. xD

But yeah ever since Muv-Luv i can't get enough of bugwars or survival horror.

I have been too lazy to make a recommendation yet i'm too fixated on the fact there's a lot of entires missing the main one's bothering me being Ayumayu, akane maniax, Kiminozo, Kingdom.

Check pm's for a link

But it's the muv-luv visual novel trilogy i have only actually completed the Muv-Luv series and one other myself since i'm not much of a vn reader but i could tell there was something vastly different and special about ML.

The Total Eclipse anime original is absolutely NOTHING like visual novel trilogy.
