Why you should watch this: If you read the synopsis, you'd probably expect Lemon Angel Project to be your everyday generic idol story. And, well, you'd be right. So if that sounds like your cup of tea, then by all means go for it. There are no major failures that drag it down; in fact, there are even a few small things it does to push it up. One is the cast - granted, it does hit on just about every stereotype out there, but not in so exaggerated a way that it becomes a problem. Instead, each character recieves just enough development to take them past feeling like cardboard cut-outs, to the point of being rather likable. The other thing is a small twist to the plot that makes it just a tad bit more interesting than it otherwise would be.
Concerns: Like I said, there really aren't any meaningful issues here, outside of a mediocre anime being mediocre. Worst thing I can think of is that Tomo's VS sounds almost drunk at first, but either it gets better or I got used to it. Also, one of the music tracks might be recycled a little too much for some people's tastes.
PSA: Though I normally avoid commenting on fansub quality, Mishicorp's subs for this have a rash of epic failures at basic English. Avoid them if possible.
Summary: Make no mistake, Lemon Angel Project is indeed as average as it looks. But I found myself enjoying it anyway, thanks to the slightly-plus plot and a likable cast I wound up pulling for. Recommended to those looking for a simple, lightweight sort of watch.
