IRL, I spend a lot of time at the dojo; I have a 2nd degree black belt in one type of Tae Kwon Do, a 1st degree in another, and train also in Karate and Arnis. When I'm not doing that, I watch anime.
Speaking of anime, I got into it in college after a friend watched Bleach episodes back to back. All day. I remember being slightly bewildered and thinking, "What could possibly be so interesting that he would want to do that all day???" Upon looking it up on Wikipedia, I was like, "Hey, that sounds kind of cool..." and here I am today. (>_<)>
In not-real-life I do the whole cosplay, speak Japanese, J-rock, Kpop, Japanese fashion, blah blah blah thing.
I'm sarcastically easygoing (or easygoingly sarcastic?). I dislike people who build their identity off only one thing, particularly when anime fans have nothing more to their personality than "teehee I liek animu it's from Japan and it's so kawaiiii XD." I like people who critically examine what they watch. I also like tea.

I tend to rate things with stars based on a combination of how good I think they are critically AND how much I enjoyed them. In my reviews, I try to assign points based on how the anime holds up to critical examination.
Below 3 stars: Factor of how annoyed I was by the end of it.
3: Average story/characters, somewhat enjoyable.
3.5: Average story/characters, enjoyable-very enjoyable.
4: Above average, enjoyable.
4.5: Above average, hugely enjoyable.
5: Above and beyond average, hugely enjoyable, unusual/memorable, and well-done.
