Guin Saga

on

Stroy: What is it that comes to find when I say "fantasy". Perhaps Elder scrolls comes to mind maybe Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings, or what that girl did at your friends bachelor party. Whatever comes to mind (except maybe the last one) Guin Saga  ranks among one of the better fantasies around. From political intrigue, strange creatures, nobles warriors, and yes magic Guin Saga delivers in epic (although not quite perfect) fashion.  Guin Saga is based off the longest running single writers work in the world which, evidentially, is also called Guin Saga. The anime takes place in... See full review

Nagasarete Airantou

on

Story:          If there is one thing that can be said for Nagasarete Airantou it's that it proved that the best thing to bring with you on a deserted island is plenty of women. This light hearted anime showed me an optimistic view of being stranded on a deserted island with no electricity ( may god have mercy ) and was overall an enjoyable experience from start to finish. If you are looking for something that won't make you think to but, isn't terrible this anime may be a good waste of time.           The story... See full review

Zettai Shounen

on

Story: Imagine a beautiful summer day with a pleasant breeze, it's peaceful and even though you feel a hint of boredom you can bring yourself from the soft grass. Now add in some mysterious creatures floating around you and even though you you have no idea what they are you aren't frightened by their presence, quite the contrary, your intrigued. If where able to imagine this then you have a small understanding of what watching Zettai Shonen is like. This anime's unique deliverance was a breathe of cool air in a clustered and humid room. This is certainly an amine that is highly underrated. Now the... See full review

Koihime Musou

Story:What do you get when you take one one of the greatest historical chinese novels everRomance of the three kingdoms, make all the main characters female, add crude sex jokes, ecchi material, and screaming 2 year olds? You get one of the most horrific, depriving, and insulting animes ever conceived. I'm continually amazed how low studios will sink to make some money, and this time they have gone too far. I would rather inject myself with liquid nitrogen and shove jalapenos in my eyes than ever watch this series again. That being said I feel it is my civic duty to reenact the horrors that I have... Cromartie High School

on

Story: Cromartie high school is one of those anime's, in fact, one of those shows that only comes around once in a life time. I myself rarely find Japanese comedy appealing due to cultural differences, however, this anime breaks through those barriers delivering something that is truly unique and brilliant.  Based on a 1980’s Japanese manga, this anime is a parody of yankii, or juvenile delinquents. Cromartie is especially known for it's badass students. The classrooms are filled with badasses who, being badass, follow no ones rules but the own. However there is one man among the... Umineko no Naku Koro ni

on

Story: When I first heard of Umineko no Naku Koro ni, I had high hopes. I was looking forward to an anime that would peak my intellectual interest by engulfing me in a baffling mystery.  It was baffling alright, but not in the sense was hoping for. Alas what I stumbled upon was an anime  with enough plot holes and twists to make even M. Night Shamalan go "WTF!".  Set in 1986 on the island of Rokkenjima the story starts with a strong, but cliche, premise. A wealthy family travels to their private island to discuss the inheritance of Kinzo Ushiromiya's... See full review
