While it certinly doesn't seem like it at first, the protagonists of these two shows are actually fairly similar. While Yuuki from Mirai Nikki is quite a bit more pathetic for most of the show, both characters have a surprisingly realistic streak of cowardice, but are generally able to solve their problems (less so in Yuuki's case). Both shows involve mysterious scenarios dealt with by the power of foresight. Both shows begin with the main character being thrown into another world, figuratively in the case of Mirai Nikki and literally in the case of Re:Zero. Predicting either show is difficult, so if you enjoy the suspense, action, characters, and/or mystery of either of these shows, you'll probably enjoy the other.

Both anime are set in alternate worlds, and both anime are similar to murder-mysteries. Both main characters are overconfident (most of the time), although not as much in Re:Zero. Both anime have a sense of urgency that makes them suspenseful and often action-packed. Re:Zero has a larger, unknown plot with a bit less investigation. Rokka no Yuusha has a more straightforward plot, and the mystery is acknowledged fairly early in the show. Re:ZERO is also a fair bit darker than Rokka no Yuusha. Without getting too detailed and spoiling things, I'll just say that if you enjoy the mystery, suspense, action, and/or characters from either of these shows, you'll probably like the other to some extent.
