I just finished the tenth episode of Bakuman, and I do not understand why some people say that it's boring. It's wordy and has almost no action, but it's just like the manga. What did people expect?
I finished the first season of Space Battleship Yamato yesterday. What a long journey that was. I started watching it as Star Blazers on Syfy, two episodes a week for six or seven weeks, before they suddenly took off their block of anime. After that, I didn't have internet at home, so I wasn't able to do anything but lament the dismissal of the show. I didn't get internet at home again until a few weeks ago, a couple of months after Syfy removed the show (and Monster, which I was really starting to get into). The first thing I got was Yamato. It was hard to get into at first because I had already seen the first half of the series, but before too long, I was cruising through it. It was a good show, though people nowadays could point out a lot of flaws in it. But it was the 70s! You've gotta be aware of when a show was made before criticizing it. The ending felt a little rushed, and some things didn't make sense at the end, but I still shed a few tears as the Yamato sat before the earth, its long journey finally at an end. I can't wait to watch season two.
