I didn't delete a message you left to me - if the page reloads and there's an error at the top about the captcha not matching, you just need to re-enter it, and then the message will go through. (apologies for how confusing that process is, it'll be fixed in V3 in a few weeks). To make sure a comment went through, scroll down after you hit submit and make sure it's there.
First off, as the site owner I appreciate you welcoming so many people, giving them recommendations of what to watch, etc. It's a great help to the site and I'm sure people appreciate it.
But Anime-Planet is also required by law to not promote piracy. I understand that people will do what they want, but there's a difference between someone asking on their own 'where can I find this?' and someone else responding 'crunchyroll', and what you're doing, which is posting to most new members, promoting that you're willing to help them pirate anime.
So I'm sorry, but welcoming people with offers to help them pirate is something that needs to stop. I do have the right to ask, as I am the site owner. I think it would be great to keep welcoming people, but by telling all of them up front that you'll help them obtain anime, you come across as site staff and it sends the wrong message based on how we're legally bound. If people come to you based on what's in your bio, I'm not as concerned about that... it's that tons of newcomers are seeing what looks like a staff member saying they'll help the person obtain anime illegally.
So I hope you do continue to help people - by recommending stuff to check out and any other means. ^_^ It's great you have the will to help people, and I hope it continues. Please understand though that if welcoming newcomers with offers to help pirate anime continues I'll be forced to do something more drastic like delete comments or block comment profile functionality.
As a side note I'd prefer to have this discussion in email, but am not sure if you're receiving my messages.
Nyan, I had a lot of fun! Although it kind of was awkward with all of the new otakus there. Mew. I couldn't exactly ask if they wanted a hug or not. Mew. ^^;;; But I know for sure next year I'm going to be myself and of course ask for hugs and glomps. Nyan~ How have you been by the way, oh and my Xbox360 got the ring of death this past few days.
