(Taken from my blog on anime-forums)
So yesterday evening I watched the very last episode of amnesia and I was a bit disappointed.
The episode had some action for about five minutes when Ukyo's other self tried to kill her. But then came a(SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER) death scene that took the rest of the first half of the episode. At first it was very cute and I sat and begged him not to die. In the end of it I almost screamed at him to die just to get that boring scene over with.
The second half had a long talk between the heroine, Orion and the invincible being that took over Orion for a minute or so (whose name I have forgotten). We got some interesting facts to why she lost her memories and how Ukyo was involved and so on. After that they told all the needed information they continued with a long talk about how she could return to her world, they would get separated and blah blah blah. (I'm so professional right now)
The whole thing was very dragged out and became very boring, and I could only feel emotional for the two different scenes for a short while before I was too bored to care.
Another thing that disturbed me was that they would send her back to her own world and get all her memories back and loose the memories she had with Orion. But we didn't get to see what it was she had forgotten. We didn't get to know what kind of person she had been before she lost her memories, so we will never know who she really was.
On the other hand, a good thing with the ending was also that we didn't get to know who she was (I am not contradicting myself.... Maybe a little bit) because in that case the world she would return to would already be chosen. She clearly had a different personality in every world she came to, so if we would get to know how she was in her own world then we would also know who she would end up with.
What I liked about the ending was that we didn't get to know which guy she chose to go back too and we as watchers were allowed to decide ourselves which was the better guy for her (or who we ourselves would have taken).
This anime was very slow paced throughout the whole season, but it also had times when it was very interesting and there was always something that kept me watching. If nothing else it was because I wanted to know who she was before she lost her memories, who the green haired man was and why she jumped between dimensions. So I didn't get to know everything I wanted too, but it was still entertaining enough.
What was your thoughts about the last episode or the whole anime in general?
