The anime Is a great and beautifully  done. When you watch the anime you will fall in love with the main characters  Rin and Daikichi who are strangers to each other to start of with and slowly come family. It's a lovely anime to watch and would  put a smile on anyone's  face.

I hate animes that make male characters look and act like women. I also hate when the main character is some flimsy, shaky, stuttering weird person who can't can't express his thoughts normally. This type of anime is usually reserved seen in this genre made for young boys, but this story line is so played out that it's painful to watch when it's done poorly. If you have absolutely nothing else to do with your life go ahead and watch this but if the first episode is any indication of how the rest of the season will be I'll stop here.

The Pet Girl of Sakurasou

LoveandHeartbreaks's avatar By on Apr 18, 2016

I was literally mind blown when I finished watching this anime. To be honest, when I first came across this anime, I thought it would be a light-hearted and silly anime that would be good for some casual entertainment. BUT NOPE. 'The Pet Girl of Sakurasou' is much more than that. Sure, the anime is filled with comedic elements but besides that, the story or the plot is filled with meaning as well. You can always get the basic plot line from the description so I won't be going in much detail on that. But mind you, the story is indeed incredible. Another thing that I MUST mention is the beautiful art style... See full review

Sket Dance

LoveandHeartbreaks's avatar By on Apr 17, 2016

It deeply disappoints and astonishes me that this anime is not as popular and loved as it should be. 'Sket Dance' is an absolute gem that deserves way more appreciation and love because I fell in love with this anime right from the very first episode. Hands down, one of the most hilarious anime I have ever come across. It is practically impossible to not laugh your asses off while watching this show. I personally love each the characters in this show. They all have something unique to their personality that makes you connect to them instantly. Also, I'm personally a big fan of the art style as well. As... See full review

Voices of a Distant Star

This is not even worth my time, or yours. -It looks like a background anime demo for a guy. At least, the backgrounds are nice. They even have more personnality than the characters! You know something is wrong... -The animation is aweful and the shapes of the face are inconsistant -There are only two characters, though you know there are probably people, but it feels boring. You only get the interactions between two and the rest is fighting in mecha against bad guys -My belly bottom have more depth than the story

Attack on Titan

EthanSocks's avatar By on Apr 17, 2016

Attack on Titan is such an amazing anime. The warmth of the colors, the line weight, and amazing characters really seal the deal for me. This anime would be really good for people wanting to get into anime. Idk but all my friends who don't watch anime kind of follow the stereotype of the classic magic girl animes, but this is literally anything but that. I have got some of my friends to watch it on Netflix and they have loved it. I'm super excited to see the story unfold. All in all, it's a pretty good anime that could go down as a classic.

I really like this anime. This is one of the best animes I have ever seen, content wise. There was no inappropriate stuff, no explicit fanservice, it was just all-around good. The characters lack a little bit, and the animation can be a little choppy, but the music alone is worth watching. Anyway, I definantly reccomend.

The Kawai Complex Guide to Manors and Hostel Behavior

delolmo's avatar By on Apr 17, 2016

The Kawai Complex Guide to Manors and Hostel Behavior was a fun and entertaining anime to watch. It resembled The Pet Girl of Sakurasou anime quite a bit but in my opinion, this one was done better than the other one. The story follows Usa, a normal high schooler who is to live in a boarding home with very “unique” tenants. I can’t say the plot is original, but the situations that were explored in this story were different from the norm and just really fun to watch! I laughed so much while watching it and fell in... Akame ga Kill!

Khani's avatar By on Apr 17, 2016

I watched this sometime back back but as with all my previous shows didn't have to time to sit down and write a review even though i wanted to. If you happen to read this please note: There in lies spoilers (as I must vent my frustration)  Akame ga Kill ia an anime centered in a universe that houses Kingdoms and villages. I do like watching these types of animes as i like sword play and knight and wars in general. However while watching I realized that the series main protagonist is not the person in the show that happens to share the titles name 'akame'. We follow a young boy named... See full review

Overall, I enjoyed watching Rainbow Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin. I adore anime which break away from the stereotypical school, moe, ecchi, lovey dovey bullshit that makes me wanna gouge my eye out. This anime has a certain feel to it that made me want to binge watch it, so I could feel satisfied with myself. ***I personally recommend you stop at episode 13-14, because it turns into a cliche and loses any elements of action real fast.***    !There are some spoilers and I dropped at episode 15! Devil May Cry

Narstak's avatar By on Apr 17, 2016

Devil may Cry anime is simply a anime for the Devil May Cry video game fans. It is a very average anime, not a bad one, but not an excellent one either. If you like Devil May Cry (not my case), you will maybe appreciate some of that. But, overall, it is not worth watching. The atmosphere is heavy metal and demonic (naturally), but dark and you won't be into it most of the time. English voices: sometimes awefull. I just hear people reading their text. If you want an action anime with a guy killing devilish creatures, I recommended you something else than this. Playing the video game is probably a better... See full review

Terra Formars: Revenge

Hantajira's avatar By on Apr 17, 2016

I'm leaving the overall 4. The story is great based on the first season (original show). My issue stems from the patronizing feel I recieve from the new director. Alright a real review. Based on the original Terraformars, Revenge picks up where it left off. However, unlike the "first season" Revenge feels and acts more like DBZ or Naruto rather than Hiroshi Hamasaki's work. The antagonist ....  Sorry, I've nothing really good to review about this show. I'm not happy with the new direction. Shadow Star Narutaru

MuspellPete's avatar By on Apr 17, 2016

Narutaru is a peculiar series that you watch through and might find merely decent up until the half-way mark. However, the last few episodes alone make it worth it in my opinion. The series makes a radical shift in tone and becomes quite brutal at the drop of a hat. This is made even more jarring due to the earlier episodes being almost a Pokemon-esque story about teens acquiring creatures with maaAagical powers, as well as various slice-of-life elements. I might rate it higher than what it actually deserves (i don't want to over-sell it), though the sheer shock-value makes for an intriguing watch... See full review

Ping Pong The Animation

MuspellPete's avatar By on Apr 17, 2016

Ping Pong is a series that i think a lot of people dimiss after a couple of episodes, or worse, after seeing a couple of screenshots and deciding it is not for them. While the artstyle and theme may not look particularly appealing to some (i must admit to also shunning the idea of watching a series about ping pong), after the series actually gets going around episode 2-3 it is just an incredible watch. The character development is nothing but spectacular, and the audio quality, particularly the voice acting, is a real treat to listen to. Positive *So let me immediately start with the biggest positive point about Grimgar and what made it stand out so much. Right, it's confession time for me. If you have been reading my reviews than you may have noticed that I tend to rip the anime a new one. There is a reason for this though and it has to do with the fact that I can't turn my brain off when watching anime. I can't ignore the stupid shown in the anime and this is a problem as most anime are very stupid indeed. In this case I'm not talking about a 90 pound girl catching a multi-ton cruise missile and throwing it back. Yes, it is stupid but it is a stupid that I'll allow. It's anime. This review is written after watching the first 2 episodes, mild spoilers of the first episode might appear. Bungou Stray Dogs is probably one of the best anime this season and it is well exceting all of my expectations. When I first heard of the anime I found out that most of the main characters are named after Japanese authors and their superpowers are named after that author's most famous work, making the story amazing for literature geeks. (One of the first characters we meet is Dazai Osamu, who is shown floating head down in a river, while the author with the same name actually drowned himself.) The... See full review

Blue Gender: The Warrior

casandra29's avatar By on Apr 16, 2016

In order to truly review Blue Gender: The Warrior I am going to have to refer to it's predecessor multiple times throughout this review. The reason being Blue Gender is not a sequel, it condences the original Blue Gender into One Movie with a couple new idea's thrown in and a different ending. First Lets talk about the story. The story folows the same route as the original Blue Gender but it only has 2 hours to finish instead of 26 episodes, it's a given that they are not going to be able to include every awsome scene so I was curious as to how they would go about cutting and how things would progress... Lucky Star

TaigaTsundere's avatar By on Apr 16, 2016

Lucky Star is a anime that revolves around the otaku Konata Izumi and her many friends. There isn't really a plot, because it's just a school life anime. However, this anime is really relatable. For example, in one of the episodes Miyuki is putting eye drops in but she keeps blinking. Lucky Star is also a little bit funny, because since Izumi likes anime a lot of the things she does does are relatable and funny to me. There are also a lot of references to other anime, mostly The melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. But there isn't any plot, so I have to give it a 4/10 for story. The animation is "moe"... The pacing and character development are executed with such skill that even at roughly 2 hours viewing time I never feel it is dragging on, and when it ends it doesn't feel too short. Highly recommended for anyone regardless of genre tastes.  (Specific to the Mandarin dub): Studio Ghibli once again shows the commitment to all aspects of their films with an excellent Mandarin dub. I've read contrasting reveiws about .hack//sign. What I personally think is that I could very well have avoided to waste my time watching it. I don't know, maybe there is a good story somewhere along the way and I missed it because I was sleeping - but really, even if that is the case, then you must agree with me that the execution is terrible. The reasons I'm rating it so low are: the pacing is painstakingly slow; there is very little character development; the backstory is only hinted at; there are several issues (even main ones) and sub-plots that are left without a conclusion. It only gets interesting... See full review

Divine Gate is based on an app game by GungHo, which boasts about having over 1000 characters. Hmm I'll try to start with something uplifting and positive about this series……..well, immmm, at least the colors are bright and happy, at times. Story - 5/10 The story in itself is very original, people being brought back to life in order to catch those who killed them. In this case that person was a young prostitute killed by her john, a rich casino manager who has a penchant for such activities. But that quickly falls apart, as the show basically turns into a girls with guns type anime where our main character, Rune Balot, is trained to be a super killer in order to keep her safe... Humanity is dying and has been confined because some more powerful species showed up and is serving human butt on a silver platter. Thus, an angry edgy teen tries to change everything despite having NOTHING special about him, BUT SUDDENLY HE HAS CRAZY SUPER POWERS. That's Attack on Titan, Owari no Seraph, and Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress. All by Wit Studio. Seriously? Stop it guys, you're better than this. I may however be biased, as I am a jazz fanatic. The music was certainly a draw for me and it was tastefully used throughout the series. The story is like a rollercoaster, almost keeping you in suspense of what may happen next. Though the story and mainly the characters keep this show back, as the story is about nothing too specific and the characters are largelyy udnerdeveloped. So, with that said, let's get down to... Psycho-Pass

OMG this is good Anime! For personal reasons, Psycho-Pass is one of my favourite; Here are some reasons why: The concept of self-consciousness and NtAI ("Not that Artificial" Intelligence; I know, I'm a genius :P) the tech and society, and basically all the narrative universe is really good. All the little details snap together like a puzzle giving birth to a living city. The idea was brilliant and well executed. Liked it a lot. (Ghost in the Shell influence maybe?) The characters are amazingly well built. They have nice and convenient evolution, there are some that stand out and with their... See full review

This is probably one of my favourite series EVER it was a eautiful story and also the manga is AMAZING!  Pandora hearts has quite a detailed plot line and many terms people may be unfamiliar with, however once you get to know the characters you fall in love with them <3 (especially Oz :3) It is a good anime to start with if you are trying to get into anime as it has an interesting plot and suspense which keeps you entertained :)

Neon Genesis Evangelion

The definition of pefection. Live a drama, get into the psychology of the characters, search for the meaning of life, see the desperation become madness and finally, understand. Evangelion is what someone might search for life. It is the very essence of art, a work that can change your life. Hideaki Anno manages to represent human psychology, showing how people are weak. Managed to unfolds relationship with religion, incorporating symbolism and monologues. Sound is fantastic, and the animation are perfect for the times. I absolutely recommend to everyone watching this masterpiece, which might make... See full review

Beautiful Bones -Sakurako’s Investigation

Hush564's avatar By on Apr 14, 2016

This was really, really good! Thought provoking and the mysteries that get solved are pretty clever. Some parts are a little hard to follow and some of the characters could have a bit more backgroud depth. Overall though really enjoyable! I hope this gets a second season since the "mastermind" of this season wasn't caught but was mentioned in the last 2 to 3 episodes. So, I will definatly be revisting this series! The art and sounds were decent. Sometimes it would have bright colors and others dreary but it all would coincide with the mood of the anime and it that way it was very... dynamic.
