I loved this show! I just finished it last week. I was hooked from the first episode. Sometimes, I want to watch anime without all the usual clichés, and this did it for me. This one takes place during the prohibition era, so if you like historical dramas, you may like it. The animation is beautiful, and the story is interesting from start to finish. If you don't like a lot of violence, I don't recommend this to you. I watched the dubbed version in English, which I don't usually do, but it was tolerable. I have seen worse as far as dubbed anime goes.See full review
Okay guys, let me just say that I had not wanted to watch this AT all when it came out at the beginning. It didn't look at all my type of anime and I didn't want to watch something I have seen a million and one times. BUT! I did after 7 or 8 episodes had already been out and I ended up falling in love. I do, and yes I know how the age thing is an issue, ship Tetsuo and Hikari. I don't know, it just seems right to me, however bad it seems. XD I really hope there is a season 2, I just think 12 episodes is not enough!See full review

There are multible types of anime, most focus on a person or group and watch them grow while strugling to get past each obstacle (Haikyuu!! for example), there is the type where you have a OP character gets a problem which their power can't solve completly and they have to get help to save the day (Code Geass has this) and there is the type in which you look from the opponents perspective alot and see how diverent people try to take him or her out (Sakamoto, desu ga? is the perfect example of this). There are more types but these are not really relevent in One Outs. One Outs is definatly the last... See full review

Right, it's confession time for me. If you have been reading my reviews than you may have noticed that I tend to rip the anime a new one. There is a reason for this though and it has to do with the fact that I can't turn my brain off when watching anime. I can't ignore the stupid shown in the anime and this is a problem as most anime are very stupid indeed. In this case I'm not talking about a 90 pound girl catching a multi-ton cruise missile and throwing it back. Yes, it is stupid but it is a stupid that I'll allow. It's anime. Things like this are normal here and I'm pretty much fine with it. It annoys... See full review

After watching the complete first and second series. I would recommend it a good anime of mild romance and heroic story. The character of protagonist is made really good. If we watch the story from an out of box angle even the story is fictional it matches the today's real world.See full review
Decent, but it feels unfinished, or like there should have been more / a 2nd season. My favorite part of the 13 episodes is the outfit Merry wears, and being somewhat cute (kinda reminds me of Shana from Shakugan no Shana), and also the Sea of Trees as far as her appearance, personality, and English voice (she does the English voice for Mina from Dance in Vampire Bund, and Yukari from Rosario Vampire). There are quite a few bits of the story or characters that appear or are referenced, and should have much more significance, but don't. The 2 main characters here in question are The Chaser and Pharos... See full review

Story - 6/10
The story, I am referring to the plot, not the writing.
The story is more complex than needed. It takes away from the anime. Its difficult to keep track of everything that is happening, and they don't give you time to understand.
Everything is told to us, but anime is a visual medium. It would do best to use visuals to help explain the plot, and make it easier to follow and digest.
By this, I am referring to the diplomacy and war parts of the plot, or where there is a lot happening and it should be broken down... See full review
First off, this was a hilarious little series that I managed to watch all in a day. Albeit, it was hard to find it online and get it to stream properly. Goofy, raucous, and almost satirical in the right light; this series is short, sweet, and to the point. Pardon my cliche. If you've got a couple hours to yourself someday, it is totally worth a watch. Story Not a lot to say about it, it is fairly straight forward in it's delivery. It was simple for the most part but the twists at the end left me feeling like I was watching an M. Night Shamlamadingdong movie. For that, I can only fault it... See full review
This movie is beautiful it followed this small family through there trials and tribulations. It ended perfectly, I did shed a couple tears but it was a movie that makes you fall in love with it quickly. Is now in my Top 10 favorite movies.See full review

This anime was absolutely adorable. The best thing about this anime is that you could take your time watching it and never feel rushed to finish it or that you might forget something that is going on. And while this anime doesn't really have much of a story, sticking to an original plot to each episode, it's still really nice to sit down and watch a day in the life this widowed teacher try to make delicious food for his little girl. The animation and sound is pretty good with nothing in particular about either sticking out to me. Though this anime is not yet dubbed it may be in the future. The... See full review
I don't think I've ever gotten hooked on a show so fast in my life, I find it quite unbelievable an anime of this caliber has gone so widely unoticed, I might be wrong but I don't see many people talking about it in the community. Nevertheless I'm glad I stumbled upon it.
I was instantly sold on the concept while watching the first episode. The world they have created is completely unique and you would be hard pressed to find something similar.
Everything for the setting to the lore of the land is very intriguing, at first you thing it's about soliders, but then they add this very cool fanatsy... See full review

This 11 episode anime is pretty much an entire economics 101 college course in an 11 episode anime. Except unlike economics class this show is actually alot of fun while also being informative in an intresting manner. Basically college student Kimimaro is broke and struggles to make ends meet his mom and dead are both dead so theres no help from them. One day Kimimaro ends up in the financial district a universe where he can make money to use in the real world. It's been a pretty bad season for me as far as anime goes and aside from the wonderful second season of KonoSuba, Dragon Maid has been the standout star of Winter 2017. It's the one anime that I've actively looked forward to watching week after week and I'm sure will be on the top of my list of best shows of 2017. This is as close to perfect entertainment as I've seen in quite a while and it's going to require some explanation since I tend to shy away or outright hate shows like this in most circumstances. But Dragon Maid is just so darn endearing. It's the story of Miss Kobayashi, an office worker who... See full review
essential information first. #1: This really isn't a show about war. Yes, a war is happening, but the main focus is on the relationships of the characters, and some character development. #2: Episode 6 is mostly filler. Skip to 17 minutes to get past that. #3: You don't need to watch the earlier entry in the series to watch this one. The story is simple, and is basically a backdrop for character development. Not particularly original plot, but a solid choice. The pacing is slow, but that just serves to build more suspence. The animation is old and sort of looks like it, but the style of story telling is... See full review

This is an anime that I knew about for some time but refused to watch because I watched YouTobe videos and I only saw comedy. When I finaly made up my mind to watch it I didn't even got through the first episode wich is an one hour special. All I saw was just a comedy. It didn't impress me one bit. After some time I was told it isn't just a comedy and that there are arcs with serious scenes, amazing plot and action/fight scenes. It took me about 20 episodes to get used to Gintama humor and plot. I began to like the anime when it made me smile and laugh without even realizing. When the action arcs came I saw... See full review

for fans of REALLY STRANGE sci-fi anime, you can't go wrong with this korean film which is fast paced, wacky & irreverent. if you can't see how weird it is by watching a trailer, then this might help. the story revolves around 3 protagonists... 2 small time "juicy bar" dealers and a porn star they encounter whose prolifific pooping (you read that right!) makes them both rich, as well as targets of the government, organized crime AND the mutant minion of "the diaper gang" who are addicted to juicy bars (made from poop) in a dystopia where constipation is the norm.See full review
This could really be viewed as a 4 hour movie if you watch it back to back, the flow is that good and the action and story make it feel like one very cohesive movie, rather than individual episodes. It is clear that a lot of effort was put into this anime. The story is very strong and moves quickly, but the flow is just right and feels natural. It starts pretty innocently with some light bounty hunter and monster chasing. After a few episodes though, it quickly heads towards the main component which involves the angels and demons portion. The story has a few twists to it and very different from most, it... See full review
It is so sad that people are so heartless they don't want to see an anime have a happy ending. This anime is greatly underated. The entire time I was watching I was on the edge of my seat. It had a lot of the elements that great animes have: MC with an op power, a cute little sister, tits, the whole enchilada. This is an anime that you have to watch in a binge. If you take this anime one day at a time then you will probably get bored. It's not a complex storyline but there are alot of things that you have to remember to tie the events together. It's not hard at all, but it's super inneffective when you... See full review

This anime is a treasure. Everything about it is so terrible, that normally I would give it 0 stars. The story makes no sense, hopping from one event to another with very little explaination. The animation is equally as choppy. The music is extremely lame. The characters have no development, are extremely stupid, and are so many that its confusing who is who! Desite its many flaws I EXTREMELY enjoyed this show. I first saw it with my school's anime club and was warned that I would probably either love it or hate it. We watched it dubbed, and the dub was as terrible as the rest of the show. HOWEVER! all... See full review

I adore Pandora Hearts. I love the characters, the plot, the choir music and even the sub-par art. This anime could not have been more perfect if only it had not messed up so incredibly. In Pandora Hearts Oz Searches for why he was sent into the abyss and Alice looks for her lost memories so she may discover her past and why she is a chain. In giving away new information to uncover these mysteries, Pandora Hearts was too slow and hardly revealed anything. It gave more questions than answers by trying to show the background stories of other characters. This added even more questions for the audience... See full review

At first I was really hesitant to watch it but after the first episode I found myself binge watching it. The story was really well done in my opinion, but there were some parts that I didn't like as much. I thought that it mostly focused on the love triangles where it should've focused more on music and the friendships. I think it would've been better if Kaoru and Ritsuko ended up together instead of letting their relationship fade away. In the last episode, I didn't like how Sentarou just disappeared without a word. It would've also been nice if you got to see how Junichi and Yurika were doing... See full review
Y'know I see most of these reviews saying almost the same thing. It was this or it was that and so on.. But everyone needs to remember the anime was based off of a game. And as someone who's played the games and read the mangas? I thoroughly enjoyed this anime. The game is mostly fan service. The boys do seem more creepy here, though that's really to be expected. They're demonic beings of the night, they're supposed to be mean and cruel and bad. They're not supposed to be angels caving to your every wish and desire. The animators and the voice actors all did amazing, the story line was almost... See full review
For this review I’ll be covering both seasons of KonoSuba. Now we all dream of having a fantasy adventure. One that is in an exotic place, meeting exotic people, locations etc. It’s rather odd that a shut-in NEET Kazuma Sato gets this little adventure. After dying a pathetic death and going to the after life, he gets the chance to meet Aqua. A goddess – the goddess of water and purification. However, things don’t go according to Kazuma’ liking. So, first things first if you are thinking about watching this but are put off by the fact that it's tagged yaoi (Boys Love), then don't be. There are few to no actual yaoi scenes or moments in the anime. More than anything, it's just two strangers who through a series of unfortunate events, grow and bond together, and ultimately become the best of mates. But, if you are looking for an explicit yaoi, then sorry, this may not be for you. Now, as far as the review goes: I will be brief. The story was well written and the same goes for the characters, who btw were genuinely funny. I think that's one of the... See full review
Story What can you expect for 10 episodes The story is rushed and very random. feels like a filler arc more than anything. Good for easy digestion after burning out a long running anime. Animation The quality of animation is 8/10 i would say. It definitely has some good animation in it. Should be expected if you plan to order only 10 episodes for it to at least have some good video to defend it. Sound The opening music track i liked. The SFX used were good also. Characters A handful of characters with 10 episodes of action. Basically like "Here's X amount of... See full review
I really enjoyed this one. I am in love with the OST, to be honest. Plot is pretty neat, but the ending is predictable close to half way into the series. Animation is beautiful - absolutely beautiful. Characters are over all well designed. Just wish they gave Watari more screen time than what he was given. Was mainly about Kaori and Kousei, as it should be! But, they could have done more with development. Bottom Line, was a decent story line with great series of events. Will watch it again sometime.See full review
Oh my God... I don't even know where to start with this anime. It was such a great story. I am a sucker for psycholigical thrillers and dramas. But this was such a treat. I tried watching it with a friend about 2 years ago when he was spending the night, but I just didn't understand what was going on so I dismissed it, and we ended up watching something else. I now understand why the beginning is what it is for a reason, and it was a great reason. After going back into it 2 years later, I learned that I was an idiot for waiting so long to watch this masterpiece. The Characters are just so unique... See full review

Since this is labeled as a Netflix Original, I didn't realize it was part of a larger franchise until after watching two episodes and then coming on this site to review the show. I saw in my quick Googling that fans hate it when people diss this show for being too similar to Sailor Moon, but... Psycho-Pass is one of the best cyberpunk animes I have seen because the plot and the philosophy of the villain keeps you wanting to see more of it. There are plenty of cyberpunk culture references as philosophic and literary ones being worth to highlight that they add a lot of interest to the show.
Some characters could be more developed, being a lot of the weigh of the series on the villain charisma. The story is quite good, but I would like to find classical cyberpunk stories, Willian Gibson's style in anime.
