Perfect Blue is an anime movie that has been on my “want to watch” list for ages, but now I finally got around to watching it thanks to the Daily Anime Marathon. And right now, I want to punch my past self in the face and tell him to watch this asap. You should do it too. Story and characters “When popular pop idol Mima decided to retire from her group, Cham, and become an actress, she had no idea that one person's obsession would soon spiral out of control. With death threats, letter bombs and a forged website which details her every move, Mima finds herself slowly becoming... read more
I just finished Plastic Memories last night and all I can say is WOW! I've watched shows that have put me through a rollercoaster of emotions but surprisingly this show tops them all. It was really easy to get attached to the character and I feel like the character developement was absolutley outstanding! The characters personalities made the story really intriguing and that made me want to continue all day until I finished. I learned so much about the show as it went on till the very end and i couldn't be any happier that i've watched it. I don't see many flaws if any in this show. I 100 percent... read more
Woahhh a super cliche harem. This things follows harem scenarios by the book. Well atleast there is a definite outcome in the end, though they ruin it by adding in a little spice near the end. Honestly, Just watch eps 1,2 and 10-12. Only filler bullshit in between, don't waste ur time. If some beginner asks you, "Oh, what does harem even mean?" This is not the anime you show them, for fear of driving them away from the genre. Overall, Super cliche, Super average, Super boring. I watched just so I could say, "yea i watched that one." To be honest i liked this ending route. I... read more
'Don't judge a book by its cover' is a phrase that springs to mind when I think of this anime. Or in this case 'don't judge an anime by its overly long, kind of misleading title'. After finally being worn down by various recommendations for this anime, I decided to finally watch it so that I could tell my friends how stupid I thought it was. And then it was too good... and is now one of my all time favourites... Hmm... First of all, it is not just about a guy trying to pick up girls in a dungeon. It's more about the main character, Bell, trying to get stronger in order to catch up to a girl he has... read more
[NOTE]Re-published review dating from 2006-2007[/NOTE] Kare Kano (A.k.a. His and Her Circumstances or Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou) Yukino Miyazawa has been a model student all her life and is going to attend high school to continue this. She hides her real personality behind an unbreakable mask in order to get praised and be seen as model student. Though things changes as Souichirou Arima appears. He's a model student as well, though with another background. A bond forms between them. Story and Characters 8.5/10 - 9/10 The story seems nothing more than an unoriginal high school drama. My opinion... read more
This is one of those movies that feels more like an episode than an actual movie. It starts off great but by the time the movie is over, you're expecting more. It felt like the ending was a "monster of the week" or "calamity of the week" type situation but it just ends there. The characters are pretty vague due to the timespan, meaning you don't know much more about the characters than you find out in the first 15 minutes of the show. Two things would have made this movie better in my opinion. More time spent developing the main characters and a point to it all. If the movie had... read more

P-MUCH SPOILER FREE! I just finished binging this unexpectedly, and I think that is a good way to look at it: I found the series immediately addictive. I want to emphasize that I commend the series more for being creative than I do for the story. The story itself is fairly basic, and easy to plot out, but the approach is different and appropriately gradual. I didn't really take a moral from it, since I already feel like I've had a large portion of my sexual awakening completed, but it can present an interesting display about how someone should approach sexuality: it compares philosophies, showing the good... read more
when i 1st seen this i wasn't sure if i wanted to see this but now im glad i did watch it the graphics and story line of a childish teacher had my attention, i was glad to see it and im sad cuz they didnt continued it just a little longer and because i of that im sad all the characters through the anime i grew attached to and i can relate to all of them
when i seen the announcement that this was going to be the last i was upset, but i was so excited to watch this and i waited for a long time to come out in sub now im happy but i wish they continue it from there i would like to see how things turn out, i love how the story played out but theres one thing that bothered me but i cant put my finger on it
I generally dislike MMORPG animes. I don't disling this one yet, but usually I do. What is the point? It's all fake. The battles, the townsfolk, the everything. Even if they can actually die in real like (SAO) it just seems so boring. It's a game so to me there is no point in caring about what happens to the characters. Plus almost everything is silly quests. The characters just leave the game to take care of needs which removes the filler moments when characters are just doing normal things which often adds to the characters. No matter what, when I watch this kind of anime, the way it is done and me... read more
While watching the first few episodes I honestly thought I was watching a very clever parody. The way the intro was done utilizing every cliché you can think of. The way the show feels like the most generic highschool-comedy-slice-of-life-romance-drama anime. The redesign of Kyon turning him into the same milk face that is the male protagonist of almost every anime of this type. How clever is that! Then, after a few episodes there would be an ingeniuous twist that it was all just one more of Haruhi's whims. Kyon would look like his true self again and the characters would stop acting like it... read more
Hype is the cause of high ratings. Other than that a shit-tier anime. I don't get it, why make a "Transported to a fantasy based on game" type anime, if you're going to make the new experience as shitty as living in the real world. Granted the anime has not ended yet, The first few episodes so far give off a "Slice of life" vibe. I won't complain about the uselessness of the "players" yet because clearly this anime wants to show how shit they are at first and then they train and get super strong. Very slow so far, I'm gonna stall till this anime gets atleast 6-7... read more
I've honestly never been more annoyed with a character. This girl, Erika is so desperate to fit in with these girls in her class that she submits herself to this a$$hole of a guy who literally treats her like a dog. And as soon as he does something as simple as help her up after pushing her to the ground, all of a sudden everything is forgiven and he's not that bad a person in her eyes. And it's not even like she has no friends, she has a friend in another class who knows what's going on and doesn't really approve but doesn't do anything about the situation, even helping Erika trick her new friends into... read more
By far one of the best romance anime i have ever seen this is just one of those series which you can shed a tear to or even ball your eyes out too , personaly i balled my eyes out at the end and wanted more but sadly there was no more. For the characters most people love the differnt personalities the series gives these people and im one of those people i think its amazing . Its got that harem feel but you know who the protagonist will end up with as soon as they bump into each other , but you cant help but root for the other girls. To be honest the series is its best near the end but dont think im... read more
I originally didn't want to watch it because it was basically the Benizakura Arc in the anime, but in movie form. I also, basically know what happens, so I figured that there wasn't really much of a point (guess I'm not that diehard of a Gintama fan...). But when I found out there was a dub, which I originally found as a clip on YouTube and thought was a Fandubbing, I was willing to give it a try just to see how the rest of the movie was dubbed and if it was real. I have to say, I am impressed that they got away with half of what they were saying and it was not that bad. Given that I usually lean towards... read more
The villains could be better. Everything else about the anime is perfect. The villains are the only ones I did not really like. They were okay though.
When I started watching this anime, it was completely out boredom. I thought to myself, "I want to watch some funny and cute anime, what should I watch?" Then I remembered people are always talking about this, so I thought, "OK, I'll give it a go." This anime is wayyyyyyy too cute. I can't stop watching once I started. That doesn't happen to me a lot. The story progression is pretty well done. Each episode doesn't end with a cliff hanger, but somehow, it just makes you to keep watching. It really hard to find a good rom-com type anime, this anime is definitely among the... read more
Let me just start this review by saying Kowabon is by no means horrible. Despite me giving it such a low score, it's more out of disappointment and failure to deliver rather than watch value. Each 'episode' is about 2-5 minutes long, give or take, so if you're really into horror it's not a huge waste of time. At first I was really digging the rotoscoping technique used for the animation, and it's quality stayed consistent. Quickly I realised that it was just a cheap solution for lazy storywriting. Kowabon had a lot of... read more
I am confused as how to properly explain my feelings about this anime. I feel like the story line is rather confusing and is basically left to the audience to interpret the ending. There is no clear answer as to what happens and the key roles that he characters play. Because you could stay the story spans for thousands of years, it could be hard to fully understand. Likewise, the story didn't seem to pick up for several episodes, but at the end a lot of them tie together to a nice plot. All in all, not only did I hate the ending which was rather sad (like most of the story, not many happy memories/events)... read more
WHY! WHY MUST ANIME HAVE SUCH TERRIBLE ENDINGS! first of all, this anime had a bad case of deus ex machina. Which, honestly, does not make for a great story. It also undid a lot of the good things that it did in the first series. Up front I will say that this season of this series was way bad. I wont do my normal review becasue frankly, this anime f*cked up and it doesnt even deserve my normal criteria. the first 14 episodes of this were great, but this half of exodus was really bad. All of the sudden tons of unexplained phenomena were happening for not apparent reason... read more
This was another anime I just clicked on for some background noise to only pay half attention to and just like the last one I did that with, I ended up actually paying attention and getting in to it a bit. My first impression from the picture was "girl with big boobs right up front, that doesn't seem promising....". That usually isn't the best sign, plus all the bright colors made me doubt it even more. Then the first episode started and well, I'm a psychology major and it was talking about the brain and perception and all that and I ended up actually watching all three episodes currently... read more
First, I'm curious- where does the fact that she's their sister come from? As a fan of KAT-TUN since they debuted in 2006, I clearly remember the excitement we all felt over them getting an anime (no matter how short). As one of the more unfortunate idol groups in Japan (with members dropping out left and right (in a couple of months there will be 3 left out of the original 6 members), their 5 year anniversary tour being cancelled etc) it was great to see them get something different. Then I watched it and realised that other than their voices and their names, they have no connection to the real people... read more
The story is a hard fact thriller, although it does make you question the sanity of both the characters and the writter until you're done and you've had time to mull it over.
If you do pay close attention to the evidence offered you throughout the story the reveal at the end makes perfect sense, but you really do need to pay attention or else you run the risk of contracting an extreme case of confusion.
I'm always tentative about nudity and sex in stories. With the backdrop of the world of fame and acting I can understand the reasoning but I do feel this film could have done fine... read more
It stuns me how this anime managed to get twelve episodes without so much as a plot. There is no character development; a couple new characters with weak backstories are added, but all the sick dynamics from the first season stay the same. Moreover, this whole season seems to build up to... absolutely nothing. Nothing. I only finished watching it because the episodes last 12 mins and I wanted to be absolutely certain it was, as imagined, complete and utter sh*t. Wouldn't recommend unless you feel like wasting your time and feeling disappointment, disbelief and disgust, all at the same time.
I really enjoyed the anime. For me it was a real tear jerker. I wish it was a little bit longer. Most likely now I can go back and finish up the manga for it.
I honestly do not know why this anime is rated ths high. I love these type of anime but I ust felt that Kanon was not very good. The first 10 episodes or so are way too slowed paced, nothing really happens and is still a bit confusing. I made myself continue watching because of its popularity At some point the story line gets a bit better but not much. Some of the characters are fun to watch while other are just annoying. In summary, given the poor story line (in my opinion) and the issues with some of the characters, I think a 5/10 is fair. I did like the animation for this version and the sound... read more
The very begining was probably the best part of Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi because of the aniticipation; Onodera and Takano didn't recognize each other, yet we knew they went out in the past (Well, for a night). The overall anime was pretty good, and they did a good job with the comedy side of things, but I find it very irritating when the characters play coy when things are obvious. Other than that, I have no complains with the anime and look forward to watching the second one.
In all honesty it's been ages since I watched this so I can't remember any details.
Though I think that is mostly because I desperately wanted to forget them. Other than animation, music and voice acting, I was generally unimpressed the entire time I watched this. The one feeling that grew stronger with each episode though, was my dislike for the main guy. I really really really can not stand him. There is no reason to be in love with him- none at all.
I absolutely 100% completely love this anime! It's fast paced, exciting and kept me up till 2am because I simply couldn't stop watching it. The story of a princess who goes in search of the seven deadly sins, a group of outcasted holy knights with legendary power, in order to save her kingdom from a new generation of Holy Knights is absolutely amazing! Before I review this, I'm going to say that my opinion is slightly biased. Fairy Tail is good. Really good. But it has its flaws. Even so, it's one of those animes that makes you shiver with excitement and anticipation before Natsu's next beat down. Having read the manga I can without a doubt say that I know the whole plot. I stated it had flaws. Let's expand. Natsu: Basically every shounen character. It wouldn't be a shounen otherwise. Yes he's feisty, but he cares for his friends. He's not a low point. A real low point is Laxus, but only at the start of his arc. Towards the end you like... read more
This anime is wonderful. Really touches my heart every single time I watch it. (I'm writing this review after third time of rewatching it) I'm not very good at writing reviews but I can say this for sure: "You should watch it" To all people who never watched it before, or, HAVE watched it but stopped within the first 26 episodes or so, you should give it a chance and watch it even if the first half of the series seems very childish. I agree with the fact that the first half of this serires is very boring. Lots of cliche and unneeded episodes, just for the kids. But, that can't be... read more
My First impression after watching first ep is that this is what you call a true PSYCOLOGICAL - DRAMA ANIME !!!! The plot takes quite serious turns at serious points. This anime deals with time travel and murder and really gets you engrosed. Just cant wait for next ep. Avoid reading the manga before watching the whole anime series otherwise there wont be any thrill or suspense. OP of AKG and a beautiful ending seals it off ! Character design is pretty much good and is suitable for the story. IS ONE OF THE BEST OF 2016 or May be the BEST
Story Basically, the story is about this boy named Kakashi who for whatever reason is the only one who can fight these aliens in order to prevent them from invading Earth. In order to protect the public, Kakashi lives in a house thats isolated in the middle of nowhere, and his only source of human contact are two guys that live in that house with him. To make things worse, Kakashi has amnesia (which is never really explained except that it might be related to the fact that he can fight aliens). As the OVA progresses, Kakahi begins to wonder if he has any family or friends... read more

The Anime if God only knew was being created he would have sent a plague or astroid or other Earth ending catastrophe to stop. Story - 5/10 Things seemed promising for this series, school life and videogame/ internet culture, how can they screw this up? Oh how they can. The premise for the series was interesting, a young boy who's the master at getting the hearts of females, is approached by an adorable demon from hell to catch the souls that got away. Though hilarity ensues when she finds out the only females he can really talk to are those in Dating Sim video games. Now the two must use... read more
Absolute trash. The only reason why i gave the 1.5 is because of one OST, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R60gXk3RgqM. I don't know if they ran out of money or just had shit planning for the plot cuz after ep 4 everything went to shit hell. The subs were horrendous, It's like they purposefully fucked with the viewer with trashy subs and changing names. Netflix recently launched Glitter Force as an original. In this case it just means that they are the only way to watch it in the United States. That being said, they gave it the treatment you might be used to if you watched anime back in the 90's. Change the names, change the voices, basically rewrite the story to fit what the company thinks its target demographic will enjoy. In this case, that would be young girls. Now, I'm not saying that this show, being a magic girl anime that uses heaping doses of glitter spewed from a compact, was made for anyone but young girls, but usually I can get some enjoyment... read more
The Aria series goes completely unoticed by many, which saddens me as I believe it to be one of the greatest anime ever created. Story The majority of the Aria series is divided up episodically over three seasons (I know people who have tried watching Origination first w/o viewing the first two.). Each story unfolds a whole new adventure for the characters to explore. The first two seasons, Animation and Natural respectively, are about introducing the characters and learning about the world which surrounds them. A series completely made of up small special adventures. As for Origination, being the... read more
I just sort of stumbled on to this anime with no real expectations and absolutely no clue what I watching (since neither this site nor the site I was watching it on gave an informitive summary.....). So far so good. I really hope this isn't a 12 episode anime though because it won't be able to develop and finish in just 12 episodes. First three episdoes are interesting though. I still don't entirely understand what is going on, but the characters are diverse and there is a bit of mystery behind each of them which is being discovered. The main focus right now appears to be the relationships between each of... read more
Anno attempts to make the series better and reboot it for the teenagers who were not born around the time the old series came out. But this was a failed attempt to modify an already flawed series and making it worse by changing some of the characters and the animation while deciding to make a 2-hour long franchise of movies to try to squeeze in all the depth of the series.

Humorous RPG Harem This review is being written after the release of the second episode. I watched the first episode of KONOSUBA with no preconceived expectations, only the Crunchy Roll synopsis and picture to go by, and I was very much amused and entertained. 'KONOSUBA -God's blessing on this wonderful world!' is a harem. You know the story! A bunch of sexually inexperienced girls congregate around a sexually inexperienced boy while they do something unrelated to their desires. It is too early tell if KONOSUBA is a good harem but it does get a number of the starting aspects correct. There... read more

SHINSEKAI YORI- ANIME REVIEW Story: 10 (Masterpeice) Shinsekai yori is without a doubt one of the most intricate storylines ever put to television, with each episode giving you another peice of the overall lore. i would like to note that the story could have easily flopped with a single misstep or mishandlding of the theme which is why in the story department i give it the maximum score of ten. the reason as to why i have not elaborated much on the story is that I believe the veiwer should go in with as little prior knowledge as possible as to get the full effect of the interesting almost surreal... read more

When I watched it's a very intresting anime but that just until ep.103 at this episode I'm very shocked because the animator changed the 2D image to 3D, when I think why don't just make the 3D image when singing and dancing why it's must a 3D?
*INCLUDES SPOILERS!!!* You have been warned! I was kinda disappointed in the anime. I had read the manga before, and fallen in love with the story and the characters. I was surprised at first to find out there were only 26 episodes, as I couldn't quite believe the beautiful story could be squeezed into so little epsiodes. The anime misses out on a lot of the backstories of the characters, as well as most of the [dramatic] ending. There was next to no confrontation at the end between Tohru and Akito, and Tohru never met Kureno Sohma or Isuzu Sohma, and the curse is never lifted. They... read more

Disappointing. Roberta's Blood Trail should've been a 2-3 episode arc instead of an entire season. The story draaaaags things out and is needlessly convoluted at the same time. Roberta & her master don't deserve to have an entire series dedicated to them especially when they spend it being grim or sad the whole time. The whole production lacks the charm, lively characters and fine balance of philosophy & entertainment that the first 2 seasons had in spades. Instead, everything in s3 is overkill and hamfisted. For Black Lagoon diehards only. *To be fair... read more
