this show... its just so wonderfully heartwarming to its very core.everything from the charicters to plot and even the setting all had a nice balance that didnt over power anything else what i like especially about this show is the fact that not all the cliche "spoghtlight" is focused on the protagonist, but rather it was somewhat evenly disributed amongst the main charicters.the show wasnt focusing only on the protagonist where all the attention would go somehat unfairly to her , it was more realistic but in comparison to most shows of its genre.See full review
I personally loved this movie. It was very sweet and cute. There was a lot of emotional scenes that really touched me and made me cry. The animation is great. It reminded me a lot of AnoHana. (recommend btw) The music was great. I loved how sweet and not in your face it was. It very much matched the movie. The characters were meh. I loved the main character; she made the movie. I was totally into the love interest until the end of the movie ( won't give anything away ). The other girl / friend of the main character, did not like her from the start. The baseball dude was cool and I liked him... See full review
SAO is probrably the most over rated anime of all time. I have only heard positive reviews about this series, but it is not THAT good. Yes character development is interesting and the animation is good, but the story is so predictable. Everytime you watch an episode you know what will happen in the next episode. In my opinion this makes it unintresting and boring to watch. I also find that the fight scenes are not as thrilling as other animes. Heck, I think Naruto or Bleach (10x more overa rated) do way better fight scenes than SAO. The only thing I that I knd of enjoyed about this series was Kirito and... See full review
I liked this show, there were some holes and questions in the plot that were never really answered such as the whole revival thing and the plot had some weird switches but overall this was a great anime that has some pretty amazing charcaters with some crazy twists and left me weeping at some parts. if you like intense shows with a spice of romance (which btw Hinazuki and satoru were OTP) then this show is you. Cool time travel aspects and if youve seen Steins;gate then youll see similarities between the two.See full review
I've read only positive reviews about this anime, but honestly I didn't like it that much. Can't fathom what exactly those who are so enthusiastic about it saw in it; except maybe if they played the game before, which I didn't. I actually consider it to have been pretty much a waste of my time. The story is based on an interesting concept and there are some good ideas, but that's all the positive I can say about it. The execution is sloppy and the pacing isn't great either. Several times I found myself bored to tears. Oh, another positive note is that there is an ending and it's satisfactory. Even... Mekkaku City Actors, can be seen as a nice anime, but not as a good adaptation. I did the error of watching the anime before searching informations about the songs, the novel or even the manga. I personally don't regret this, since I immediatly interested myself to the others adaptations and the songs and is aware of the story of Kagerou Project to its full now. But, for others people that will only care about the anime, it's kinda sad, since they will skip so much of the story. Itself, Mekaku City Actors can stand nicely. Not the best anime i watched as only an anime, but it is really... See full review
Netflix does a good job with all its originals. The writers are great at coming up with original scripts and character plots, but what I fail to enjoy is the animation style. It reminds me of clay figures and it's so aesthetically displeasing. Great story, plot, character development is a little on the weak side, especially of the main's "best friend." I'm anticipating a season 2 and am sure it will be splendid.See full review
This season differs quite a bit from the first one. Instead of capturing cards with heavy emphasis on action the shift moves toward school life & daily life while focusing heavily on our newest cute addition to the magical girls line-up for a total of 3. Kuro brings a lot of life into the group and this season is much more funny instead of action filled, until the last 2 episodes anyway. The only thing off here really is that the flow of the story ends around Episode 8, then goes completely into a new storyline and it ends it partially when it clearly has more to tell. Even if the story continues... See full review
PLAY THE VISUAL NOVEL OF CHAOS;HEAD INSTEAD
This is by far, the most terrible way to experience Chaos;Head.
The intro alone spoils and foreshadows 80% of the story. Squishing an entire Visual Novel into twelve, twenty minute episodes is a Red Flag.
If you're fortunate enough to get to this review before looking up an episode, I implore you, as one Anime Fan to another, play the VN first.
The STORY ruined the anime: This anime started off so wondefully. The story builds around the characters and you really become attached to the character. This anime had me at times wanting to rate it a 5/5 but then it got really messed up.The story was inconsistent in my opinion. It sucks because this was one of my favorite animes up until i got to episode 20 when stories flaws began to show up and not because of anime-logic is messed up but because the lack of depth in details to the story. I'm just so dissapointed in how such a great anime in the first 20 episodes was full of life and then just dies off... See full review
This film is a flashback of Hotaru as a child, growing up with a masked guy named Gin. There is a plot hole on Hotaru getting lost in a forest, as cliched as it seems, it's not really her getting lost that really concerns me but the reason on how she got lost. I don't know if she ran away from her parents or
what. There is also lots of hitting a child which I do not approve on. They're kind of played for humor but 6-year-old children can be really sensitive about getting hurt so I don't see why they would whack a child on the head. A good spanking would be better. But like how much Gin hurts a child... See full review
Akame ga Kill uses troupes, gore and shock value to hold its audience but despite its great graphics (good art style, decent use of texturing/ light and other visual effects) it really only looks pretty, while trying to be philosophical and falling flat. Characters were all stereotypical without any original qualities though that hardly matters as only a couple end up surviving. Character death isn't anything unusual in anime - Hughes makes me weep; Fushigi Yuugi is still depressing and the less I think on Kamina the better - but I have never seen an anime with such a disregard for its own... Story There is a reason why most short-length episode anime are either slice of life and/or comedies. It's because slice of life and comedy are fairly easy to pull off in shorter episodes. However, more serious, darker, and more complicated stories are much harder to pull off in such a short time span. Pupa is a prime example as to why darker, more complicated stories shouldn't be adapted into short-length episode series. Pupa's story is fairly interesting, but it suffers from many major flaws. The biggest flaw is that the pacing is all over the place. Some... See full review

Most over-rated anime ever. Has a good ok storyline but all the "Climatic" scenes feel very anti-climatic. (Like it wasn't executed properly). It had a terrible ending and the few random nude scenes felt very unnecessary.See full review
Mystery is one of the most interesting things that I can think of when it comes to anime, anything fictional really. The hovering question what the truth is, what the secret of the story really is. It, most often, keeps you invested in whatever story you find yourself in. People that know me also know that mystery is one of my favorite genres and the one thing that I always love finding, especially in anime. So when I actually find one such as that, I will, without doubt, love watching and trying to figure out the true situation. Erased was not what I expected it to be, and that is a good thing. Let's talk... See full review
If you like anything medieval, you will most definitely love this. The fights are great, the characters are great, and the music fits every scene perfectly. You get to watch as the the protagonist grows stronger and you get to really understand his personality and the personalities of his companions. Appleseed is a rather strange anime. The premise it holds is also strangely unique but at the same time has also been used so many times in other movies that it looks like it’s just a cheap-rip off. YOU CAN defend it saying that when it came out it was a unique premise but truth be that does not matter since now there are a lot more anime that show this premise in a much better way and so this anime can’t really be respected as some classic either. To put this anime in a simpler fashion it’s just a buddy-cop show with some clever plot elements terrible mixed in. The Plot:- I can’t... See full review
Originally I wasn't going to write a reveiw for this, but there are more bad reviews than good reveiws so I will even things out a little. I don't really see what's so bad about this anime that people would give it a low rating. It's pretty standard for it's genre but that's not a bad thing. The story has a beginning a middle and a sort of end with room to continue (which is far more than I can say for a lot of other anime), the sound and animation is good, and the characters are interesting despite being pretty standard as well. This anime doesn't go above and beyond it's peers, but I think it's pretty... See full review

I was going to give it a much better rating, BUT the end fell flat for me ("as usual" could the bitter me say with anime when the manga is not finished)

STORY I gave 8 ----because at first, you won't understand what's going on, especially the scenes of the young girl and robot (You have to watch it 'til the end, [as in all - meaning, you have to watch the After Story too!] for you to totally understand it). First few episodes, were a little bit boring. But what I love the most is the finale not of this one, but the finale of Clannad: After Story That's where I said..I am fulfilled! happy kiddo now! When I first heard about SAO I thought it was the cliche boring "person gets stuck in a video game and has to get out". However I heard good things about this anime so I gave it a chance. With this particular cliche, it barely goes well, but when people can pull it off, it is amazing. Another good example is No Game No Life where the cliche was well used. This is actually my favourite anime of all time, and the only thing that stops it being 10/10 is the fact that the story isn't really original, yet it is still very awesome.See full review
This show immediately reminded me of Cardcaptor Sakura. It is the same idea, but much shorter and has 2 cute girls. A simple concept of fight the card's soul to recapture it, tossed in with some relation building between the 2 girls. Only 10 eps to a season makes it rather short with not much to say. Not a ton of stuff happens either though due this fact. About half the material is fighting these card spirits, the other 40% on the relation between Illya, Miyu, and the other 10% being at school/home/ or with Ruby/Sapphire/Rin/Luvia. If you liked Cardcaptors, this is simply a modern day copy. Other than... See full review
I get it. People want shorter episodes in anime. BUT THIS IS TOO FAR. The characters speak too fast and all the episodes in one adds up to only about 24 minutes. The 3-minute episodes rarely have any significance and there is only but 2 or 3 separate personalities in the 4 girls. One is a typical lazy person and all the others are overly happy. The art style and effect is okay but only sticks to one design for the girls, but the anime is lacking in other places. Overall it is an anime I do not recommendSee full review

Right, it's confession time for me. If you have been reading my reviews than you may have noticed that I tend to rip the anime a new one. There is a reason for this though and it has to do with the fact that I can't turn my brain off when watching anime. I can't ignore the stupid shown in the anime and this is a problem as most anime are very stupid indeed. In this case I'm not talking about a 90 pound girl catching a multi-ton cruise missile and throwing it back. Yes, it is stupid but it is a stupid that I'll allow. It's anime. Things like this are normal here and I'm pretty much fine with it. It annoys... See full review

In my review I will be comparing Yozakura Quartet: Hana no Uta and it's predeccesor Yozakura Quartet. At first I thought HnU was a continuation yet it was a reboot... kind of. The first that put me off of HnU was the moeization of characters. I need to say that I was literally scared of watching it because I would lost hope in Japan for making these... monsters. While it's not a perfect anime, It's kind of unfair to rate and review an anime for something that it explicitly does not have. In this case, it's a plot. This a short episode anime for crying out loud! You expect a well-written story out of it? Yes. I am calling out the reviews for this anime and as well as other Skit comedy animes. This is a comedy anime. SNL doesn't have a plot, does it? Skit comedy. That's what this anime is. So? How do we review and rate a comedy anime? By weighing out the comedy! Rate and review its skit, its punchlines! Not the Plot! Why? because it doesn't have one. "But, It... See full review

The Tatami Galaxy should have been a movie. That's my criticism in a nutshell. While I was watching Yojouhan Shinwa Taikei, I was struck by the feeling that it didn't quite feel like an anime. I don't mean that because it wasn't filled with accidental groping and meaningless drama born from misunderstandings, or even that its art style wasn't generic sparkly eye bullshit. What I realized in the final episode was that Tatami Galaxy didn't feel like an Anime Show, but rather felt like an Anime Movie in every aspect. Dance in the Vampire Bund Review Note: The following Review is based off a recent re-watch of this 2010 series dubbed on a blu-ray released by Funimation. I read the manga about two years ago- so some of the lighter details are a little fuzzy. Differences as they pertain to the story of the anime and the chapters covered by the anime are detailed in the review. For this reason, and so I can reserve the right for more in-depth analysis, I’m posting a... See full review
Death Note... I remember the entire story. It's been a while since I have watched it, so I am going off of what I remember, please be are with me here. Story It started of great with a lot of suspense and on-the-edge-of-your-seat action. It's a story of deceit and cunning, a back-and-forth battle of people trying to find the enemies true identity, and has tons of death everywhere you look. I have no idea how could this Piece of Art be possibly underrated like this. It undermines my faith in the Anime Community and breakes my heart. Seriously. But, oh-well, whatever. To make it clear. This is a story of two dorks saving a princess. And this story has all charm of "Jay and Silent Bob" comedies, it has almost Quentin Tarantino's dialogues and it has... well, really sh*tty animation, but WHO CARES. Different and unique than other anime in this category, the music and sound are the main points that stand out. The wierdest content are the bondage/torture scenes, it definitely loves torture in different forms. The concept of a group of almost immortal demi-humans playing a game of cat and mouse with the government where both go on the offensive and defensive is entertaining. The added ability that Ajin's have provides the action component. My feelings about this anime are very mixed. I really like the main character Misaki, she truly is a strong female lead, and I especially like Monica Rial's performance in the English dub. Misaki is a classic Tsundere and the ending pays off, but JESUS this anime ventures into some dark and creepy and downright rape-y territory to get there, sometimes subtle (School retreat episode) sometimes not so subtle (rival school student council president attempting to force himself on her). Misaki is a very endearing character, but it's hard to watch episode after episode of men being shitty and creepy... See full review
I can't find a single thread of plot in the first two episodes. Its just some shallow characters being noisy.
