5 centimeters per second is a good anime... but I was getting confused, the story line is kinda confusin or the plot I should say, than later on I started crying cause it was getting sad, the ending was good I guess.. I felt kinda bad for him he didnt seem happy
This has to be one of my most favorite animes of all time!!!!! I recommend it to those of you who like funny animes, it also has some romance but overall its a really funny anime, I couldnt help but bust out laughing through most of it
This is such a cute anime!!!~ Oh my gawd!! I loved it so much!!! Its such a cute anime!! I really recommend to those of you who like fantasy anime, I have to admit though the graphics are kinda blah.... But it still is an amazing anime, short and cute ❤︎
This really is a amazing anime, I just really wished they wouldnt just drop it off like that now its like if you really want to know what happens after, you have to read the manga I mean really? If your gonna create an anime based off of the manga you should atleast finish the anime and not just end it like that.
This anime is amazing ❤︎ this is my 3rd time watching it, the story line is amazing everything about it is amazing ❤︎ there was a couple times I had to punch a pillow cause I really didnt like the fashion model, cause it was like she was trying to pull everyone away from mei, excpecially mei's bf it really pissed me off, the ending was amazing ❤︎ I kinda wish they wouldve created a second season... oh well, I really recommend this anime to people you like sweet romantic animes ❤︎
SPOILER FREE AS POSSIBLE! My girlfriend picked this up without knowing anything about it and we loved it. I cannot say it is a groundbreaking movie, but the story alone is captivating. The characters are fairly simple, and the music is very suitable. The animation feels very much like Attack on Titan, but not as edgy. What I will say is that the antagonist definitely seemed out of place, but the ending helped make some more sense out of the character, at least to me. I never knew where the story would go, and as someone who feels like they can confidently follow the clues, this movie didn't let me have... read more
This would have been super average if not for the fact that for half of the series, the MC is more than useless, and it is atypical in that respect. For all the anime where our MC has some hidden power and uses it all the time to save his friends, Witch Craft Works does not deliver that. He really only serves to power up magical girls occasionally. Some of the characters are bland, but the quasi-lesbian mothers are always entertaining. Animation for enemies was pretty sub par, and overall, I cant quite place my finger on why I enjoyed this anime. But I did, so i'm giving it 8/10.
Everyone else pretty much covered it as far as the content of the plot being well developed. Sherlock loli is cute, and things are pretty serious sometimes. HOWEVER, the dialogue for our sort of bland MC is atrocious. All he ever says is "Victorique!!". Every. Episode. Other than that, it's well worth a watch. Be prepared for some epic Space Dandy hair as an added bonus.
Good story, though Key uses the same characters in every series they've ever made. If you can get past the art style it's pretty alright
*Yawn*, well that was a mediocre showing. Even most anime that I don’t like leave me with at least some sorts of feels at the outset. *Pinches my arm* I’m definitely awake, and nope, this show didn’t make me feel anything. Before I dig into categorical specifics, I should state a little bit about what brought me to this anime in the first place. Before this anime, I watched “My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU”, and actually really liked it (surprising for me, in this sort of genre). The first thing I do whenever I finish an anime that I actually liked... read more
Spoilers alert 😊 After watching Angel Beats, it was very depressing. Depressing aF. But i love it. Depressing anime is the best anyway. The story was great and the plot was awesome and the charcter design too. But the animation was not very good if compared with animation nowadays. But it did a very great job for considered its relased time. The music was awesome too! Especially the song that made me cry every time i hear it, My Precious Treasure. And Hana Kanazawa cast as Angel, Tachibana Kanade is a really awesome and amazing choice! Thats all for now! 😊
Allright. It's been a while since I've done something like this so bear with me as I try to find my way again.I did quite a lot of them in the past on a different website which you can find here: http://legendsofsatura.net/index.php/forum125/6-reviewing-guild.html ....They probably aren't very good though but please do stop by if you have the time and inclination. Originally the site was for writers, mostly original but also fanfiction. Also I'm Dutch so there will be spelling errors. If you find them annoying give me a shout and I'll try to fix them. Oh, I will try to keep spoilers to a minimum but... read more
The first of 3 but unlike the rest this is pretty much exactly the same as the original series from episode 1thru6 which today are still good but the movie adds so much polish and crisp hd look it was nice to see it updated but not changed like they normally do with popular animation when made in to a movie if you are a fan off the original it's worth a watch just to see it all in its hd glory lol mic u are new to the anime and want to follow the original story it's safe to watch this but switch back to the original at episode 6 as I here the following two films follow a different telling of... read more
This anime has a very good story that has some fairly decent character development over time, meeting old friends, learning history as it become relevant. I appreciate that because it does not push an entire character's history and life on you and expect you to remember the relevant parts when they become relevant. While there are several scenes where nudity would be present, they censor it, but the censoring is soo obvious, between the obvious cover stickers, and the overly used light beams that at times cover half the screen. The anime in general is very sexualised, almost, but not quite, to the point... read more
I don't know what was worse, the excruciating lack of plot, or the white censorship lines that were beyond blinding
This movie was so horrible it was funny. Perhaps to some people that may make it worth the watch... but to me, I felt like I wasted my time. From the very outset when I heard the lame 80's theme song and saw the intro fight scene. I knew this movie was not going to be for me. However, because I had started it and it was only movie length I decided to continue watching to the end. The first thing you need to realize when you decide to watch this show is that it doesn't give out many answers or reasons for characters, events or other things happening within the show and the ones it does give out are... read more
The only main purpose to this 11 minute episode is to show a little bit on the character relationships before the events unfolded. Other than that, there isn't much point.
One of those clips involves showing off some loli chest in an incest bath scene (not exactly odd or uncommon among family in many cultures) if you are watching the uncensored version, which is the only nudity it refers to. It makes a bit more sense to watch this before the main show I think, otherwise it feels like going backwards.
Treat this as a 2 hour movie split into 4 episodes. This is a must watch for horror fans. It definitely has the most disturbing and graphic events out of any horror anime and many of the horror movies out there. (**Contains some pretty graphic scenes & a fair amount of blood) The whole thing takes place in an alternate spacial world at a haunted highschool triggered by a curse triggered by performing a ritual of friendship. It runs in the form of a mystery in that who is responsible for the curse and why have to be figured out. Those who have seen many horror movies will see some classic scenes that... read more
Pretty standard harem. I find it funny that one of the harem members is a transvestite and it takes a while to find this out. Overall just a fun and quick watch. It was a nice pick me up on a sick day.
This is a show I procrastinated on for a while. The reason being that I had already tried the manga when it first came out but ended up dropping it. I was originally a fan of the Samurai Deeper Kyo Manga and so I naturally followed the author and tried to get into her next work... even though I usually HATE school life anime/manga with a passion. In the beginning it was good enough to keep my attention and it seemed interesting however after a while it went in a direction I didn't like and I dropped it. Before I started the anime I had been worried that they may touch on some of the things that made me... read more
I loved this anime! I have to say it is my favourite romance anime by far. The story is good, as not only are they focusing on the main characters Usui and Misaki but also on the side characters as well. Each of the side characters also have their unique personalities and they have about the same amount of screen time as the two main characters. Although this anime is targeted towards a female audience, I believe that both genders would enjoy it. The focus is the same on both main characters, and it is also has a lot of funny scenes, which both genders would find entertaining. The way the story ended in... read more
One big spoiler ahead! Don't read if you haven't watched/are watching or read/ are reading the manga! I finished watching this anime last night and I did enjoy it as it was cute and the story was unusual. I only gave an 8 for the story because I was disappointed how it ended, as it was quite sudden and not like in the manga where there is a real happy ending. You also get to know the side characters better as they also focus more on them as... read more
I am surprised I enjoyed this anime this much considering thew insest part does not appeal to me. The story was so well done that you could not help but feel the emotions that were strongly felt by the main characters, particularly Koshiro. I very much enjoyed when he finally accepted his feelings for Nanoka and almost cried when they were considering suicide. The plot itself it's simplistic but the fact that the exploration of felings is so well done, you can't help but like it! My only complaint relates to the ending, I just did not feel satisfied with the end, perhaps if the ending was either happy (we... read more
I struggled with this review because my critical observations and my personal feelings after watching this weren't lining up. Seirei no Moribito is a simple story. The plot is pretty straight forward and the ending is pretty much what you expected it to be after watching the first episode. This might seem like a slam, but it's not. The beauty of Seirei no Moribito's story is its simplicity. The story is about the relationships between the characters, not the central plot line that moves the story forward. If you don't like character driven story's then I would probably suggest trying... read more
I know this anime is largely popular due to its fanservice, and that made me really iffy about watching it, but I was hoping that there was something more to it. After six episodes, I still don't really care about the characters or what is going on. I came to this realization at the end of episode five, when I realized that I would have no trouble just closing my laptop and heading to bed, even though it had ended on a huge cliffhanger. I did watch the next episode, but that was my last attempt at seeing if the show was going to hook me. It is a very pretty show, animation-wise. The colors are bright and... read more
Oh my… I don’t even know where to start. This anime is just all over the place. It’s confusing and boring at the same time. Something is always happening, but it’s still super slow paced. I really wanted to drop this anime after two episodes, but for reasons unknown to me I decided to watch it all… and that was a mistake. It was bad, very bad and I don’t recommend it at all. Story: Story was confusing and hard to follow. They constantly introduce new characters that have absolutely nothing to give and I couldn’t really find a genuine story. A guy whacking people... read more
I will redo this review as I am watching it! This anime just finished, and it's kinda sad to see no reviews or anything, but to be expected from a family friendly Sunday cartoon in Japan. Why am I out of all people watching and reviewing this? Why am I reviewing something I normally DON'T review? Welp. It was a choice, the summary sounded interesting, and it's something I don't have to hide out and watch, it's something I could easily watch in the living room when family is around. So why not? So lets get this show on the road: Go! Princess PreCure... read more
I don't think that this anime was very original or that the plot itself was developed well enough to keep my interest. I made myself watch it but it did not amuse me. I think the story line is rather predictable and overdone. The main charactaer gains divine power from a God that is her friend. This is similar to Kamisama Kiss in premise but not nearly as goot as that one unfortunetly. Also the Goddes relationship with the main character's brother did not really develop which I think culd have added some points to their plot. I enjoyed the animation as I typically see of the newer animes. The... read more
This review is written after the release of episode four Active Raid on Crunchy Roll. Active Raid is a fast paced mecha comedy, set in the near future in a highly urbanized Japanese city. Which city is either not stated or I don't remember. Doesn't matter they are all the same anyway. A new international unit called Active Raid is created to tackle rising global crime. They have access to mechas called Will Wear. Though in my mind they are more like elaborate suits of armour than vehicles. In summary they fight outlaws who use other versions of these mechs/suits to help them... read more
Only writting this review on account of all the hate it seems to be getting. Yes of course this story has been done into the ground but I have to say from watching the first couple episodes this one sets out to be diffrent I'm not sure if it was just me but it makes a lot more sense to me that kids from another world would be scared to fight creatures knowing very well they can die. Also having no expereince in combat makes a lot more sense compared to others that make the MC op becasue he can use a keyboard well. I think the thing that stood out to me the most was when they began to consider the life of... read more
Out of all the new animes I have seen this one has taken the cake. It has a very good balance of comedy and storyline. Though it seems to bounce around a bit and nothing has been done about our ladies soul issues.
the best anime I've ever seen like it before,
the virtual and real world has never been so close, here it seems that reverses the reality that we, the virtual world becomes reality and reality becomes virtual.
that's what makes the feeling of being lost it is my opinion , but each person can see another sense of history
This is my first review. May contain spoilers. Story was pretty common. Town full of secrets or people being of a different species and the male character being a unresistable to that species. Animation I don't know much about animation but I can say it wasn't that bad but it wasn't amazing either. Sound was pretty good. The opening and ending really give it that other species kind of vibe feel if you know what I mean. Characters were... Well pretty average in my opinion. Overall I think this was one of those animes you watch to just pass time or because your bored. It was... read more
I watched these OVAS last several years ago. Rurouni Kenshin is one of my top favorite animes of all time. The OVAS covered Kenshin's past which is rather dark. We see the "old" Kenshin and his touching relationship with Tomoe. I got to say I cry everytime I watch any of the OVAS. The story alltogether is so great I could give it a higher mark if that was possible. The animation in the OVAS is a bit different than that of the anime but it's not inferior in any way. You can see the escence of the creator within the OVAS and the fact that you get to explore the past of the main character in such... read more
I do not really like children or care for this type of anime but I was actually quite impressed with this anime. There are several tender moments that make the relationship between Rin and her caretaker grow stronger but the story itself is rather simple in nature. Considering there are only 11 episodes, it is expected not to have a huge storyline but it was enjoyable to watch.
OMG! a Kanon spinoff!……no one was yelling. Story - 7/10 Surprisingly this OVA did actually turn out to be somewhat entertaining and filled in some bits of information you'll need for the upcoming season. Elsie hears they're having auditions to play Kanon's sister on her show, being a huge fan she tries for the job, but is informed she's too old. As luck would have it, while at the TV studio, Kanon is taken over by another loose soul and transformed into a younger version of herself. This also leaves an opening for another soul to pose as Kanon in order to prey on the children... read more
I loved this anime. I loved how Rem went from a cold-hearted jerk to falling for Ritsuka. The end made me cry lol
OMGOSH I hoesnrly watched this late. But whatever, Blaxk Blood Bros had lots of things other animes don't, which is vampires. This is my first anime experiencing vampires in action and wow, was their so most history behind it. But first, I should rate all the things Story- 8 The story wasn't so bad, but it should've been longer, or last had a big movie at the end. Because I honestly wished some of the characters had more involvement, but that might never happen, as the anime is exactly 10 years of age. But overall, the story was better than others Animation- 9 At this time it was probably... read more
It's a short so it isn't going to have a lot of material in it. If you're like me and loved reading D'Jango's side story in the manga then I would give it a watch. It's six minutes and it's cute. Other than that there's really not much to say.
I loooooooove fruits basket, it's funny and you kinda get attached to all the characters (haha funny cas i did) i really recommend you watch all the episodes and enjoy it like i did. Though i do wish it was a bit longer and could expand more on the whole family because i wanted to find out about all of them and all their stories. Also i wanted to know if Yuki and Kyo finally get along with eachother..
I personally love spirit away because it was the first studio ghibli i watched. There is action, emotion, some drama and painful injuries to the neck. (which till this day i still don't understand how her neck is fine??) So if you haven't watched this GO WATCH IT NOW!! :D
I can't say that this type of anime is my cup of tea, but I could not resist once I saw how well rated it was. I got to say the story line is a master piece. It kept me wanting to continue watching without a break. I mean, when you think nothing else could go wrong, there is a plot twist that nobody could have expected it! The fact that the story revolves around the bad guy makes it even more unique. I have seen other animes that try to make several plot twist but end up making it too confusing for the audience or even far fetched, this was not the case with Death Note. It truely is well done from beginning... read more
As a fan of the original Suzumiya series - I found the jump to this one a little unsettling. However, once I ajusted to it, I began to love the new characterization of Nagato and Ryoko. 10/10 for characters. The story wasnt as good as the original, but still fun to watch and overall, I enjoyed.
Ano Natsu de Matteru does it better. Fleshes it out more. Has a bit more realism.
Your lie in April: It's a romance anime. I expected something along the lines of Clannad and Angels beats, both of which made me cry. The thing that good anime achieves in being able to make viewers care, be invested in the characters and the story.
However, this anime was generic. The characters weren't given much thought, the romance was presented like a pile of s*** with glitter on it. SPOILERS AHEAD! Kousei annoyed me, like Ganta from Deadman Wonderland, he was a cry baby. It didn't really... read more
Honestly, I don't understand why this is rated so low. I was in high school when it was coming out and I still enjoyed watching it. Sure, it is a child's show mostly but once all of the characters are established there is a lot more to this show than you would expect from most child's anime. There is a lot of comedy and lightheartedness to this show along with educational content. Later on in the show, though, it brings in more science fiction, the science of which made a lot of sense to me. Overall, I enjoyed watching Elementhunters. If you want something more relaxing to watch, I would highly recommend...
Ok,ok,do you know what would make this anime even better? By watching it on your birthday,i had the best birthday ever when i watched this anime. This anime is really clever, unique, the art is amazing, the opening is good, the only part that bothers me is ecchi stuff....This anime is really fun to watch as well, except the ecchi, the thing that also bothers me is Steph....Steph is so incredibly annoying,oh my GOD! Just SHUT UP! And it bothers me that Sora is a pervert,do you know how embarassing would it be if your parents walked in when you were watching this anime?
Gakusen toshi Asterisk came out in hand with the Rakudai Kishi no Calvary, which is slightly better show. It is yet another unimaginative light-novel adaptation about schools, magic weapons, tournament and weak protagonist who is undefeated badass. Lately this stupid gimmick is so overused. I say stupid, because what is the point of saying about a guy, who never loses a fight that he is "weak". Story itself is quite boring honestly. It is completely open ended for other season or it is the case of read the rest of the source material ending. Not only the end is poor. The very beginning and... read more
This was entry #13 in the Daily Anime Marathon. Story and characters Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou can be summed up in one word: uneventful. It shows us slices of the life of Alpha, a female android who lives in the countryside and has a café. The most exciting thing she does all day is make coffee, after which she drinks it herself because there are no customers anyway... and yes, I'm serious here. The first 6 minutes of episode 1 show how Alpha gets up and makes coffee while some girl is traveling towards her. The next 4 minutes are the arrival of said girl, who then delivers a... read more
Story is the ultimate harem. A guy gets into all-girl boarding school for rich girls, who are completly clueless about the world. Just think about the posibilities. He is taken in as an live example of "commoner" (in japanese "shomin", that is where the anime derives its title from). It is excused as he is mistakenly considered to "lean that way" (in other words they think he is a gay) with particular fetish for muscular men. The comedy is simple and there is not really an overarching story except towards the end. It is mostly just various sketches and otaku refrences... read more
This anime had a potential, but what a mess it was instead. There where two points in the story, where I thought this could be good premise for a story. The first point was at the beginning. It was really good to watch an average guy with superpowers and use them solely for selfish reasons, like Yagami in the Death Note. Except Yagami had much greater ambitions than mere fame, money and women. The second point was in the very last episode. This could be really good if that part was a standalone anime. Instead the story goes for school club with superpowers. Then towards the end surprise everything is turned... read more
