This is one of my favorite anime. The characters are well developed and the plots progress at a nice pace. The creator came up with a very interesting magic system and keeps the rules of the world consistent throughout. This is an anime with an overpowered protagonist, but I think even people who don't enjoy that genre may find the show worth watching. This series also fleshes out the backstories for secondary characters really well and the entire cast seems to grow. The protagonist is -for lack of a better word- cool, but he differs from many other "cool" protagonists... See full review
First Impressions Considering my artwork is a recolored version of one of the characters, you can probably assume that I enjoyed the show. And, that's fairly right. The show is something I can certainly call 'Good', even if it isn't ground breaking in any aspects. It's simply fun to watch, and can get a few laughs out of you. Which, to me, is perfectly great. I wouldn't say it has any glaring flaws, just a few minor imperfections that are there, but don't really matter too much in the long run. Story This show doesn't really run off of a running plotline, and it's more like one... See full review
An entirely fantastic experience in the theatres! The animation and sound is simply superb. The story/characters also get high marks from me. Must watch and preferrably watch it in the theater.See full review
I don't normally review movies but this was one of the greatest movies I have ever seen. The animation drew me in but it was the music and the characters that made the anime what it is and it is no short of one of the best animes ever.See full review
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann boasts quite an excellent reputation among anime fans and seems to be one of the few shonen animes not running for 100+ episodes that has a massive fan base and is well-recognized among the anime community. I had known about this anime for a few years now and decided it was finally time to see what everyone was taking about for myself. Here are a few thoughts regarding my experience with this anime. Story: 9/10 I got progressively more invested in the plot with every episode. What started off as a simple rebellion story became increasingly heavier as each choice the characters... See full review
First Impressions Mob Psycho 100's biggest drawback is that it's a show that takes WAY too long to get it's pace rolling. If you're just gonna read this part, please at least watch until episode 3 to get the feel of the show. The first episode does NOT do the series justice. The best way to describe Mob Psycho 100 is that it feels like a grown up One Punch Man. Not in the sense that it's more action packed or blood pumping than the first one, but that it feels like it's more mature in it's storytelling. While sometimes I feel it plays things a little too safe, when this show's a hit, it strikes... See full review
I'm a sucker for psychological shit. So I reall enjoyed this. Touching up on things I want to talk about here. The story was pretty interesting for the most part. But the ending was ehh... I really hope they make a second season of this. I need some damn closure. Story: It was fine, but I feel like it skips some things. Character screen time was chopped into pieces for some of the characters, and don't even see them again till the end. The fuck dude, I liked them too. Antagonist of the show, you figure out who they are. There wasn't much to be shown with them till the end either. It's really weird, but it is a comedy ecchi. So oh well? Animation: No complaints. The CGI used in the school here and there was a little weird, but it didn't look out of place. Sound: Yeah... See full review
I felt the need to write a review since there seems to be a lot of unjust negative feedback for this series. I was almost immediatly turned off from watching the series after reading these reviews. Luckily most of them were wrong, as this series was overall better than a lot of other simple shounen that aren't at the top. Story It was decently well written for 13 episodes. The dragon stone was little reminiscent of Inuyasha, as it does get seperated and the group is forced to chase down the stone and return it to normal. There were two seperate clans, one that wanted to manipulate the... See full review
An absolute masterpiece. I've seen some animes that rank so low because they didn't even try to be good. This one somewhat tryed and failed miserably. The school romance story line is kinda dull but quite easy to pull off at least to some degree. The studio behind this anime manged to take such a simple idea and fuck it up so badly to a point it's actually managed to be extreamly successful just because of it. The main character is probably the most idiotic character in anime. He is a comlete idiot, simple minded unrelatable guy. Nothing about him is spacial or attractive at all, its hilarious watching... March comes in like a lion is about 17 year old Rei Kiriyama who became a professional shogi player when he was still in middle school - one of only five kids who managed to accomplish such a feat. That's why among the recommendations and similar anime you will find Hikaru no go, because they're both anime about board games. As a matter of fact, the comparison to Hikaru no go isn't very appropriate because in San gatsu no lion the board game - shogi, in this case - isn't the main focus point. I'd say March comes in like a lion resembles much more Honey and Clover - it's the same mangaka, the two anime feel... See full review
This is a great movie, but it's so hard to rate because it broke my heart. I didn't realize it was going to be such a depressing movie, as I grabbed it more because it has ties to Studio Ghibli. I didn't really look at the plot synopsis or the like. Not to say I wouldn't have still picked it up, as WWII is one of those time periods that fascinates me. This is the story of Seita and Setsuko, two children who are just trying to survive growing up during WWII in Japan. Their struggles were heartbreaking, but I loved seeing how they strived to overcome the world around them, doing their best to stay positive... See full review
To be real, this anime had already entered my top 10 anime list before it finished airing. The love I have for Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid is so big that I’ll probably end up showing this to my kids later. We start off with what you can see in the trailer (see down below). Miss Kobayashi being relatable to many adults and even many students these days, she’s stressed out, does not have a well-balanced social life and the only time she actually has fun is when she goes out to drink. Meeting Tohru and accepting her as maid gives her life a twist that will change her forever. The... See full review
Don't Date someone that you do not love, that thought makes me annoy when I see that in an anime *Coughs* Fuuka *Coughs, however In this case I would give an exception to this, because It's actually the main core of WA 2. and I'll explain why. (also there might be minor spoilers though but I'll try to keep it as little) Story It's simple basically, Haruki wants to save the light music club and meets Setusna an Idol and Touma a somewhat delinquent but great musician, and after they joined they started hanging out and of course the two falling in love with Haruki. It seems common at first but what I like... See full review
Honestly, I like the story so far(still in episode 8), but the fact that you combine drama and ecchi disappoints me. I'm not saying that the story is bad, I promise you it made me cry a little, but the ecchi scenes changes my mood from sad to lustful then sad again. Probably some people will disagree with me(I just wanted to point it out), but that's just how I feel, and I'm still in Episode 8 so.. I'll update this status in 1 hour and 36 mins.
Just finished it now and all I can say is good job, I kind of expected the ending to be Hana and Mugi to end up together, but that works too. The ending... See full review
I fucking loved this movie... I would rate it a reasonable 8/10
To be honest I thought it would be a bootleg Kimi no na wa but it turned out to have its own individual aspects that made it very enjoyable to watch.
Music - 8/10
Consisted mostly of very minimalistic and calm piano soundtracks but it fit many of the scenes well and added to the emotional impact of the story. Fits well with Ishida's introvertedness and warped social phobia. It also goes well with the fact that Nishimiya is deaf.
Visuals - 8/10
The animation was clean, crisp and fluid throughout most of the film, and The... See full review
Warning: Spoilers ahead!!! Story: 2/10 So here's a quick summary of Sword Art Online- In the first arc, 14-year-old boy named Kirito is trapped in an MMORPG called, you guessed it, Sword Art Online. In order to escape, however, the players must beat all 100 levels of the game. BUT there's a twist. If a person dies in-game, he or she also dies in real life. The surprise isn't that the show is good. You can make even the most outlandish premise into a good show with talented writers.

What's a surprise is that the series that many people wrote off based on its title and trailer alone is an early contender for the best anime of... See full review
The first episode is pretty straightforward. It was just as I assumed. This is going to be mere military loli pandering with some edge in this 1st World War setting. If anything this anime proves that you should not judge the book by its cover or the first episode. It is the second episode which is the game changer. At least it was for me. The description does not do justice to the story. I am going to now talk about things that one might consider a spoilers. If you like anime series like Drifters, Hellsing Ultimate, Overlord, Code Geass you might enjoy this anime. Give it try 2 or 3... See full review
It’s Toradora. But darker. And with sexy-time. Scum’s Wish is an absolute gem, a de-romanticized high school love story that isn’t so much a deconstruction of the genre as it is simply an unadorned exploration of the oft-ignored flipside of anime’s typical, hope-filled tribute to longing. It’s an unexpectedly mature look at the desperate, corrupting, soul-hollowing side of unrequited love, a show entirely bereft of the illusion that there are winners in the pursuit of romantic fulfillment. There’s no glorified pining, no thrill at indirect kisses. The... See full review
This was honestly so much more adorable than I was expecting. The characters were great, the animation incredible and the whole thing was really sweet. Office worker Kobayashi saves a dragon's life, and the next day she shows up and says she wants to be her maid! The story shows their life as they slowly get used to living together, and the dragon gets used to the human world. It's pretty much episodic, although the story still feels like it has really progressed by the end of it. The characters in Kobayashi-san are great, and get quite a bit of development along the way. Kobayashi is seeminly pretty... See full review
Kyoto Animation have always been the pioneers of the Slice of Life genre, you need only look at how many people love the Haruhi Suzumiya or K-ON series to understand that. So when it comes to KyoAni making another Slice of Life show you know what to expect; a typical show sprinkled with cute goodness, but with something to make it stand out from all the rest. As one can tell from the title, this series stars a dragon; Tohru, who has decided to become a woman's - known solely as Kobayahi - maid. The first episode helps start their relationship off, showing you how Tohru came to meet Kobayashi and... See full review
I just finished watching Kimi no Na Wa and it seriously is a stupid film; a shitty film. Even without the hype, I'm pretty sure I would've still judged it as stupid.
I'm pretty sure that I've read a premise that's like the premise of the movie - two people exchanging their bodies to live as the other. Like the movie, it was also a romance type of story but it wasn't idiotic like that of Kimi no Na Wa.
Kimi no Na Wa's premise is definitely interesting. What would actually happen if two strangers, from two far away places, exchange their bodies? What would develop between the two? How would it... See full review
I have to wright a review about it, this amine is amazing! not only for the fact that has as a main protagonist a calculating psychopath with no care in the world besides her own agenda, love the war scenery the fact that she is defying every single miracle of "GOD". over all since this is the type of anime i go for (dark) i really enjoyed it hopefully i'll see more of it... Junjou Romantica 3 is a wonderful continuation of the other two seasons. The quality had increased drastically, lots of new and improved character design, and more laugh out loud humor. This is most definetely not your usual romance/love triangle anime. So if you're expecting some light-hearted and funny rom-com that follows the standard pattern of the genre and makes you feel all fluffy and good about yourself by the end, don't even try watching it. Personally, I think it's a well-done and thought-provoking anime about unrequited teenage love. I admit that the first episode seems pretty fucked-up, but then I was sucked in by the really good portrayal of the characters, their inter-relationships and their psychological development. And not only that, the development of the anime's themes... See full review

If you have ever watched a live action reading of a comic book before it's very similar to that where yo have the pannels being moved to give the scene more action but in its essence is something that really should be read rather than watched, in its current state, and the sotry itself is that of a some-what basic plot that you would see a cheesy short cartoon based off of. but if you're into that kind of thing this may suit you well not bad really but not great if you watched a ton of other animes and want the same style, it is good if you're looking for something completely new and a little out there... Honestly, I wasn't into anime at all, it just didn't seem like my sort of thing. But then I saw this and it made me into the weeb I am today. To start with the animation in all of the fight scenes are just beautiful, as well as the general animation being on par. The sound works well with the atmosphere and the story flows well and (if you are like me and tend to look into things more than you should) has some small points of character discovery with the main protagonist, Saitama, and with the side characters such as Genos and Mumen Rider. This is also a plot summary so spoilers To continue with... See full review
Ahh, KonoSuba, The show that actually had me laughing out loud. So basically this anime is about a teenege NEET who dies ( in a hilarious way) and is transfered into a new video game like world where he must ''defeat the Demon Lord'', yet it barely touches upon that in the story. The MC isn't the typical shounen, OP, guy who's going to save the world. He's the exact opposite. It's downright hilarious what he and his gang ( harem?) of girls do. Anyways, i would reccomend this to anyone looking for a funny show that doesn't take itself too seriously.See full review
This was the anime that got me into sports anime. This is about the life of Goro all the way from his childhood to adulthood. It is very heavily based on baseball so if you don't like baseball this is probably not something I would reccomend watching. I'll try to keep it short and spoiler free, At first this seems generic harem since Shingu Uryu together together with his sister Sakuno just meets a bunch of girls namely the class rep. ACCA is a very strange show. The first half feel directionless. Our lead character, Jean, lacks any kind of drive that would make the story feel like it's going anywhere. However, it vastly improves once a reveal is dropped and the anime gets some kind of direction. In the end, it pulls off a great finish and ends on a high note. Story: ACCA's biggest problem is that, for a while, you don't really know what the story is. Sometimes, this is made up with great characters or through world-building, but Jean is too low-key to make a big enough impression up front and the setting... See full review

If you haven't seen the first, I don't think there's much point in watching this as it is the continuation of a story that was introduced in the initial anime. Same goes if, on the contrary, you were put off by Ren and Haru's relationship and especially Ren's age in the first season, don't even try watching this as you'll just get more of the same. What I Liked: The cute relationship that blooms between Sawako and Shiori. The humour, while mad-cap and nonsensical, gives equal time to poking fun at both ends of the fan spectrum - those "filthy casuals" who want to look like they know it all and those "superfans" that do while admonishing the "casuals". Infodumps offer some interesting literary recommendations.
What I Didn't: YMMV on the show's use of literary info-dumps - especially if you don't have quick access to a pause button. Sumika and Endou really offer nothing of value to the show... See full review
