Kuroshitsuji 2 Specials

It was hit and miss. My least favorite was the making of special followed by Welcome to Phantomville. Both were kind of throw away and I just watched them to see if they were worth my time. Sadly, they weren't.  Both of the Wonderland episodes were funny and satisfying to watch, though the second episode was leaps better than the first. Grell as the Cheshire Cat was fucking brilliant so points there. I'd give the Wonderland episodes as a whole 6/10. its when you get to the other two that the real treat begins. The add-on episode about the "Spider" clan was amazing. I loved it so much. Alois... See full review

I watched this with a group of people (my anime club).  Was strollin' through the lists of random animes... the name "Cat Shit One" caught our attention. I have no idea why this exists... or how it counts as anime for that matter. But it was fucking magnificent. Loved every second of it. I can't even explain why. Just grab a friend, sit down, and watch this. You wont be dissapointed. (their little fluffy feet were so cute omg *-*)

Critic’s Log - Earthdate: October 31, 2013. Review #66: Deadman Wonderland What happens when you combine Alice in Wonderland, The Hunger Games, Prison Break, and something that Stephen King could’ve written. You get Deadman Wonderland! Ganta Igarashi has been convicted of a crime that he hasn't committed, (Trust me, it’s not like Alexandre Dumas’ The Count of Monte Cristo).  He is sent to a new, privately owned and operated prison facility, where the inmates are the main attraction in a modern day twist to the gladiatorial coliseums of ancient times. Ganta meets a... See full review

Critic’s Log - Earthdate: October 31, 2013. Review #63: Perfect Blue Ah, Satoshi Kon. Ever since his death on August of 2010, he has left viewers with some interesting films and his only TV series. Now I usually treat Anime movies the same way as a Television Anime. I know that Anime films have larger budgets than TV animes, so there are some strong advantages to Anime films regarding this. I am also a man that takes movies seriously, and I will say the same thing towards anime. As silly as that sounds, my main goal since the beginning was to put out honest and informative reviews, as well as... See full review

This is hands down, thee best anime, and one of the best television programs in general, that I have ever seen. It was epic. It sold me on the shounen genre. It gave me an array of emotions from anger, to sadness, to happiness and everything in between. At 64 eps, this is a beast...and there's practically NO filler. Every episode is needed to move the story forward and every episode was amazing. Going in, I almost gave up at first because the voice actor who played Al was different, and because I thought NOTHING would ever be able to trump FMA. Boy am I glad I stuck with this. The first 13 episodes were... See full review

Before I read the manga, and before I watched FMAB, I watched this. When I finished this series, I thought about NOT watching Brotherhood. Honestly nothing could top this one for me after so I almost didn't give anything else a try. At 54 episodes, this one was the longest anime I'd seen yet. Yes, there were some filler eps in the middle that weren't really moving the story along, but the overall arc was so strong, nothing mattered but what was going to happen to Ed and Al. I loved every character in this. All of the Homunculi were evil in their own way (Lust being my fav in this a particular series) and i... See full review

The idea of using Hamlet as a basis for this story was intriguing, however, I wish they would have ran with it instead of playing it as a funny, over the top side episode. On the plus side, I loved the return of all my favorite characters especially Grell who is a treat every time he's on the show. Overall, the episode had its moments, but being a connoisseur of Shakespearian literature, I would have loved to see Hamlet acted out completely by some of my favorite characters. 5/10. Mysterious Girlfriend X is deffinatly a must see, It drags you into a couples awkward but almost heart warming relationship.  This relationship is fueled by the bond they share.  This bond is drool yes drool, and every afternoon Tsubaki (the male love intrest) tastes mikoto's (the female love intrests) drool.  Doing this alows Tsubaki to feel what Mikoto is feeling.  This also applys to if Mikoto tastes Tsubakis drool.  But all in all the story is not as weird as it sounds its actualy kind of touching.  Soif you haven't seen this I highly reccomend you drop what ever the hell... There might be people who enjoy this, but I find it absolutely disgusting. There is no decent plot, and characters are annoying. 1/10 - a waste of time

Sailor Moon is one of the most iconic anime of all time.  It's one of the big ones that you'll feel compelled to watch because everyone seems to know what it is.   Personally, I first heard of this show when I was eight years old and my friend Elyse told me about how epic it was when she was watching it.  At the time, I had no idea what "anime" was, and when I tried to look it up I couldn't find it anywhere on my television.  Years later, I got into anime and finally looked up the show, long after I had lost track of Elyse(seemingly forever, though I wonder if she'll ever see... Man oh man...I feel like I need to catch my breath after this one. This, has to be in my top 5 of all time...I am angry at myself for waiting so long to finally watch it! Possibly the most intricate and clever anime (and television program period) I've ever seen. The cat and mouse between Light and L was mesmerizing...it was just perfect. Twist after twist had me wondering who was going to come out on top and how one or the other was going to get out of the pickle they were in. Story: What if you could look into the memories of a murder victim and see their last days? What if you could look into the memories of a serial killer to better understand them? Both prospects are suitably terrifying, but in this anime they made that a reality. With the creation of Memory Reproduction Imaging, or M.R.I, the police are given this exact ability and thus the infamous Section Nine is created. Section Nine is a very small police force made up of investigators who use the MRI to look at the memories of murder victims and / or serial killers to try to find either the killer or the motive to... This anime is an incredibly fun and enjoyable anime, and should just be laughed along with, not taken too seriously. If you don't know what the anime is about, then it's not really too much to explain, because like many comedy anime, it doesn't have much of a storyline, due to the type of comedy it utilises.  I'm no way saying that each episode has no link to the previous; just that the main point of the anime is comedy, not drama and a plot. Because of this, I gave the story 7 out of 10, due to very minor potholes and the fact there isn't much of a story to begin with, though some may concur. ... See full review

I’ll be honest with you, I really wasn’t sure what to expect from this anime before I started it. Although I had read the description for it on this site and another, I somehow had the feeling that four of the main characters would be winged creatures from another world, as opposed to being humans. Well, I only had to watch a few minutes of the first episode to realize that my idea would have been much more entertaining than what I was presented with. Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge, or Wallflower, as it’s sometimes called, has no clear plot, a mostly unlikeable cast, and only a few... See full review

So based on a much larger and probably better manga version Sword of the Stranger brings us great animation with fluid battles, great coreography and nicely done backgrounds. After all the animation was done by BONES. And BONES knows it's animation. But... It's a BONES anime. This means it often relies on exterior and just that. And this is one of the best textbook examples of a shallow, empty exterior. Set in kendo era Japan it follows... A guy with a sword. I can't really say anything else about him. He is just and only a kind heart swordsman. It's not bad that he is kind hearted and all that but come on... See full review

I also like the animation of the anime because it is fairly good considering that it was made in 2009. They did a good job with the details of the characters and the scenery. The sound of the anime is really good. I like that the music doesnot drown out the voices of the characters. This anime has really good music to it along with awesome character voices. The animation of this anime is very good considering the year that is was made in. Also the characters have very good detail to it along with the scenery to it. Yet another in a long line of series I purchased because it was cheap, but then regretted when seeing some screenshots. But much like Get Backers and Noein, I again stubbled into a real winner. My first anime foray into subject I tend to like, feudal Japan, or rather a made up land based on such times, I was very pleased. This also was my second anime in a row (following Noein) where it was nice to see a female hero take center stage in saving the day. Unlike "gargantia on the verdurous planet", Gatchaman crowds was not able to fully utilize all of the many concepts that it brought in.  I use"gargantia on the verdurous planet" because it did so extremely well.  Now apparently there was an original Gatchaman series, but I am... See full review

Love this anime! It starts off kind of slow so you need to wait until the 5th or so episode before you decide if you want to stop watching. If you do keep going you will not be disappointed. The story is rich in character development, to the point where you actually find yourself rooting for everyone at some point, even if you hate the characters actions. There is an honesty and purety in how real issues of life are dealt with which makes me truly enjoy this anime.  Now I must admit the fight scenes will leave you on the edge of your seat, yelling ...screaming, trying to help the people move out of... SoulTaker is the story of a boring piece of cardboard in the shape of a teenage boy that gains superpowers which he uses to protect a group of plot devices and find his sister. The anime tries to sell itself as a dark hero story, but the truth is it's a shounen battle anime that uses every cliche the genre has to offer. SoulTaker tries to hide how stale its story is by using it's highly stylized art style and pointless symbolism to make itself look deeper and more interesting, but this doesn't make up for the fact that the story is full of holes or that the art style can make the anime hard to follow at... I also enjoyed how it wasn't exactly a happy ending, with most people dying, but I feel that this is another plus to this series.  The only problem was that at some times I didn't understand who some of the characters were and how they were still alive and what they were doing there, but I think I will watch those... This is a series of four stories taken from classical Japanese Literature. There is a commentator we see at the beginning of episode three who introduces the authors and presents the philosophical theme for each story. Story No Longer Human How does a human live? It’s a useless attempt anyway ? Why? This work represents the author and his inability to be able to ‘get along’ with people. There is a certain malaise attached to the main character who believes, for one reason or another that he is not human. The reasons behind this belief are explained, explored and looked at. The... In a town where humans and demons co-exist, it takes more than a normal police force to maintain the peace. Enter the Hiizumi Life Counseling Office, a fantastic foursome of unique teenagers, each gifted with an amazing super power! Yozakura Quartet: Hana no Uta is not a continuation of 'Yozakura Quartet' but a complete new series with it's own story, the same characters are used with a few new additions. I put that bit there because there's no synopses yet and at first I thought it was a second season, hope the info is useful to some. about the show itself, I can't say much about the story yet... Pokemon Movie 16: Genesect and the Legend Awakened

I've always had a soft spot for pokemon in my heart. The games have always been generally good, with X and Y being exceptionally better. However, when it comes to the anime, I can't think too much of it. Sure, the first season was fantastic even in the 4kids version. But, after that it keeps going and going and going and ash is still bloody 10 years old. So, I simply watch the movies and that's it. But like the series, the same thing happened to the movies. After a while, it got boring. Then came gen 4. Lucario and the mystery of mew was fantastic, and so was manaphy and the temple of the sea. Rise of... See full review

There is a movie of the show, which is just a long episode of this, so it goes included somehow in this review, cool thing, but you won't miss anything if you skip it, so no real credits for it.

Rurouni Kenshin: New Kyoto Arc

Story (Terrible)
I highly recommend NOT to watch this, seriously don't, but who I am to tell you what to do.
It could had been a pretty cool REMAKE but no matter how you see it won't be good for the next reasons:
1.- What you see in here, is fit in less than 2 hours (around 3 episodes and a half) and it was covering around 20 episodes of the original story, plus another 20 of introduction before of what we are watching in here, so it is incomplete, so characters end being forced and not fully respected about their ideals like in the show, battles feel cheap, and the story is just rushed to the... Naruto: Hailed as the sucessor of the dragonball franchise has lived upto its name and has become one of the best sellers of all time besides one piece and dragonball. The series is a treat for all ages ;full of action ,comedy, romance and martial arts depicted with almost minimal exggeration (unlike the energy blasts in DBZ) AND MAINLY THE MOST TEAR JERKING ANIME MOMENTS OF ALL TIME.The beauty of this series lies in the portrayal of the lives of orphaned individuals and the value of life itself . The major drawback is :SHITLOAD OF FILLER EPISODES . After watching atleast 50 out of 90 fillers i was eagerly... See full review

Welcome to the NHK! Storyline 9. Sato is a Hikikomori - a person who’s afraid of other human beings and never leaves his house. Being afraid of other people, he doesn’t have a job either, and all he ever does is sleeping, smoking and thinking about the imaginary evil conspiracy that made his life this miserable: the NHK. Sato believes that his whole life has been set-up by this conspiracy, which leads to ridiculously funny scenes sometimes. He soon finds out his former high school friend Yamazaki is living right next to him, and meets up with Misaki, a girl who tries to cure him from his... See full review

Critic’s Log - Earthdate: October 21, 2013. Review #61: Appleseed (1988 OVA)
I don’t even know what to say before going over this one… Here’s an OVA of Appleseed.

Bioroids are a genetically engineered being created to serve mankind. They run all administration of Olympus. Olympus was meant to be a utopian society. But for some it is less of a utopia and... BLAME!

Story omz a GIANT FISH... and an EYE ! I'm sure they are oozing deep symbolism, reasonably sure at any rate. It starts off, just pulling you allong for the ride. As I staed for the review in the prologue, I will say again here, this was made for fans of the Manga. If you don't know anything about the manga, you should probably look it up. I started reading the manga a long time ago and never finished - I dont remember why. I was probably just really confused. In ep 4, you get a short explination as to what is going on. For the most part these 'files' are like little windows to the manga. I remember... See full review

Story there is nothing remotely resembling a story here, these are not the droids youa re looking for, move allong. animation kinda...off putting actually sound midly disorienting characters Im pretty sure we see both Cibo and Killy here.... though this gives away absolutely nothing about them Overall: I gave it a really good rating for a seemingly negitive review. I don't mean any of this to be negative, but I think it needs to be stated before someone stumbles on this and decides to watch it. I dont really think any of BLAME! should be watched with out reading the manga (which I... See full review
