If you watched Kuroko's Basketball, Haikyuu and other sports animes, and now you want to see something new or sililar to those, Prince of Stride is a good choice. Of course, I've seen just 1 episode, but so far it looks really familiar to one thing we all know - Girl manager, a team of guys, friendship, training and wanting to win. ** Story - The series is about an extreme form of sport known as "Stride." It involves 6 players on a team that runs relay races in towns. The story takes place at Honan Academy where first year high school students Takeru Fujiwara... read more
BASED ON EPISODE ONE Possibly my favorite anime of last year, and the biggest surprise by far, Gate season two starts pretty strong. We basically open with a rape sequence that I found to be rather disgusting while putting into perspective how not-SAO this fantasy series is. You see, when I first saw the poster and read the description for the series, I figured it'd be one of those generic fantasy shows that crop up every season. How wrong I was, and this season opener reminds us we're in for a mature story, at least for anime. Basically this episode boils down to political intrigue and reaquainting us... read more
BASED ON EPISODE ONE Guy in line to inheret a family candy shop doesn't want it. Meets girl who is the heir to a chocolate company, an obviously very autistic, strange girl. Falls in love. Hijinks ensue, candy based for the most part. The first episode of Dagashi Kashi is mildly amusing with some good comedy, a unique art style that makes most of the characters look like zombies, and for the most part decent music. The humor isn't great, but from what I can tell we'll be dealing with some unique characters. The only thing I hope is that the show doesn't devolve into some sort of love triangle. Of course... read more
Episode One Review Remember, this is a first episode review so I won't be able to vouch for the entire product for another couple months. But with this season so far being rather crappy (three of the twelve new shows I've watched so far have been worth watching an entire episode) I was surprised to come across a show tackling mature subject matter with what appears to be half-decent writing, some good tension, and the potential for a very dark, brooding, and labyrinthine mystery. So far all we know is that the main character is a failed mangaka who works at a pizza place, he has the ability to go back... read more
So this is the third anime of 2016 I am watching ♡シ☆ Here we have the main character, Tsurugi *SPOILERS AHEAD* , SO far we know that he was a "Convenant" fighter on his tablet. His annoying sister *forgot her name* , She tells on him to his father I ALSO FORGOT TO MENTION, the anime art in this one Is AMAZING. I can compare this to Prince of Stride & Norn9. He meets a yellow and lime colored haired girl and she's very pretty ♥ and they become Convevant fighters again. This is my first impression of the show I'll edit this once the anime ends and you'll... read more
This story revolves around Kimihito and his household of monster-girls. The girls are introduced episodically, and the rest of the anime shows Kimihito and the girls' day-to-day lives. The girls are part of an International Exchange program to introduce the world of humans to the world of mythical monsters. I would have liked to see more with the story, so I guess I'll have to see what the manga has in store. The anime kind of felt like a preview for the manga, since the episodes really only introduce the girls and don't go much beyond that. Still, the interactions in the anime give you a sense of... read more
I've had this anime stored in my "to watch list" for a long time, so one day I decided to give it a try and I must say it left me surprised and eager for more episodes.
If you like quick-paced anime, then Kimi ni Todoke is not for you. The story, as well as the character development, proceeds slowly from the very beginning and it gets pretty unnerving at some points. I love sappy, cheesy anime, but the main theme of this isn't just love, but feelings in general. The protagonist, Sawako, has always been an outcast, but after meeting the most popular boy in school and befriending him she... read more
As someone who's been a lifelong fan of the card game it was interesting to see its origin like as a kid I had never known there was a series before the 2000 one that I grew up with. This is more of a slice of life school type of thing and to be honest looking at this is simlear to looking at the original pokemon concept art just in series form . Yugioh was originally planned to be like this for the series duration just a game a day type of show but the popularity of the "Magic and wizards " card game one day showcased... read more
This is probably a anime that define sports anime in the new millennium in my opinion and in recent years due to the many aspects that define not only the sport in question but the aspects that define every sports be it indiviual or team-oriented. The opening is always crucial in any type of show especially in a sports where it always begins with the introduction of the characters and the sport in question that have to appeal to the audience which eyshield 21 does a touch of difference from sports anime because of the brand of comedy and a mix of drama that is brought to the table making it a duo that most... read more
Rewatch for Daily Anime Marathon Club But Actually Rewatched Twice In A Row Story? Shit, you see that page image? That is your story: Soft white skin, boobs and the lack thereof in the flat-chested gal and all kinds of sexy boner action. I mean, titties a bouncin' and maid- aprons, sexy nude aprons with the optional panties because sometimes, you just need that all natural feel of the fabric on your crotch. The butt is always left out there. Speaking of butts, this OVA lacks gratuitous ass shots. They could have added loads of butt shots with all the boob shots but they completely neglected that... read more
**I WANT TO APOLOGIZE FOR MY POOR ENGLISH, IT IS MY SECOND LANGUAGE**
We have here another good exemple of a nice concept being screw up by boobs touching/bouncing boobs/fan-service. These artistic choice that the writer and producer are making makes me sick. I have the feeling that they don't even believe what they made is good so they need to make it look like porn-ish. To me, this is a lack of respect for their own creation. Sadly, this kind of fan service series get a second season cause of the viewing they're gonna get. This is sad.
Should you watch it: ehhh maybe? I came across this anime because recently I have been watching a lot of action anime and needed a break. This anime was PERFECT for that. If you need something to calm the mind that is free of action, romance, or really any overall story/thinking at all this is it. Himouto! Umaru-chan is an 8-10 page/ chapter manga with currently 136 chapters. All the stories are mostly independent of each other and while I haven't personally read it, I have heard that the anime follows the manga closely. STORY: Himouto! Umaru-chan follows the lives of a brother with a job who supports... read more
I really enjoyed this anime. It had the wonderful ability of both evoking serious emotion and allowing for some comedic relief. This anime tends to focus more on japanese dieties rather than other entities of japanese folklore like youkai. At first, I was a little dissapointed with that, but the show does a good job of exploring the different personalities and attributes of the featured dieties, so I ended up liking that aspect after all. All in all, it was a great show. I also really liked the music choices!
I really enjoyed this Anime. First off, the characters, I loved them, Mirai always had her adorable moments. And in my opinion Krystal LaPorte did a great job with the voice acting for the English Dub as well as Monica Rial (as always). As for the other main character, Akihito, I didn't enjoy him so much. He was, how Mirai would say, "very unpleasant". Don't get me wrong he was funny and entertaining, he definitely had his moments but I really don't like characters that cannot die and practically are immortal. Other than that I pretty much enjoyed the rest of the... read more
This show is complete garbage, the story itself is cliche enough but instead of having a nice sweet romance anime we get this crap that basically shows guys it's ok to go around having sex with a bunch of girls, I will say though the ending is truly satisfying but still this show sucks.
I'd like to keep my reviews short and simple! 1st off i like to say THIS IS AN AMAZING ANIME!!!! Its not over hyped!! Go watch it you wont regret it! The intro songs on both seasons are fucking horrible thats why i'm rating the sound so low. I think some of the male characters are gay...thats kind of weird to me. Like serioulsy thats annoying af. The main character is this typical i'm afraid of girls, i'm a pussy, i cant do shit right boy. Its so cliches its ridiculous. The plot has a few holes in it and the series LACKS an epic moment! (death of a main character, a hook up you want to see, a dramatic... read more
In spite of how many anime come out each season, it's always surprising to note how many of these titles are cookie cutter series that try nothing new. I mean, don't get me wrong, there have always been cookie cutter anime titles coming out, even during the older eras. When there's an anime that tries to do something new, it automatically catches my attention. This is why Bones is my favorite anime studio. They are one of the only studios consistently trying out fresh ideas and experimenting. Fall 2015's Concrete Revolutio is their most recent experimental offering.
The story takes place in a world... read more
Having only read the Plot Summary and no reviews. I was totally disappointed with this show. It starts incredibly slow. Not just the story but charater devloment as well. Then it turns out to be a BL (boy love) anime, and I'm fine with that. However, even if I put female charaters in place of men in my mind, I still couldn't make a good story out of it. And to top it off the VR fighting wasn't even able to bring the story up for me, and I really enjoy VR stories. Oh well, if you can push yourself past episode 4 then you may like it more than me. But the choice is yours.
First Episode Review! :ohhhh that episode was pretty freaking good! From the relay race in the beggining till the end. THE characters are pretty "good looking" and the girl seems to not be a total clutz and stupid she seems intelligent! But I'll have to wait to the end of the anime to really get an opinion on this! I will continue to watch this ^…^ ♡♥☆
I'm fully aware that Cowboy Bebop is considered by many an anime masterpiece. Still, even though I do appreciate it, I'm not so enthusiastic. In my opinion the main flaw is the episodic nature of most of the anime and the not so good quality of those stand alone episodes. The overarching story - of which you see extremely little - is good, but I found the rest of it less so - even boring at times. Admittedly, these other episodes do act as a springboard for some pretty good character building and development, but it's slow-paced and I just think it could have been done better. In this respect, I really... read more
This anime had a good start, it intruduced the main charater and gave it a huge problem that they will have to live up to, but...... they took it away. the 1st episode had the charecter who was "permentaly" blind and would have to live with this, but then they gave some bullshit reason to take that away at the end of the 1st episode, i watched the rest of it and the story would of ben sooo much better only if the charater was stuck with it for the entire show and didnt want to execpt blindness, and in the end when they r given a cure they execpt it...or somthing like that.
I'm not gonna lie, I'm a sucker for Shoujo-ai/yuri series and I'm attracted to this genre as much as a bear is attracted to honey, or a fujoshi to yaoi. After getting to know this anime I decided that I wasn't going to just watch it but also review it! So here I am, leaving my impressions about this anime. As expected from a show whose episodes are no longer than 4 minutes (which also happens to be an adaptation of a 4-koma) there's not much story, just enough to get the setting ready and let the characters do the rest. Speaking of the... read more
How can you call this masterpiece?! The story is non-existent, the characters (Saitama included) are ridiculous, and especially is not funny. The animations are good, the only good thing. For me it is a total disappointment.
If you're into pardies about sutff you like you're into a rare treat. There are not many anime about otaku, and especially not dubbed ones. Basically most main characters are Otaku. This anime also shows how anime production, especially doujnshi is created and sold. It has both the realistic side and the fantasy side.
I can't say how this anime looks to a tech-agnositc viewer. But as someone who knows a little bit about computers, security and programming and this show is worser than those hollywood hacking movies. I basically couldn't get myself to watch this due to the very unrealistic portrayal of computers, programming and hacking. If you want to see real hacking watch Mr.Robot. It has very few mistakes.
Back when I started this OVA in 2010 I wondered whether this was going to be a good OVA or just an excuse to cash in on Black★Rock Shooter's popularity. Curious to know what I thought about it? Then go ahead and continue reading. This OVA had the potential to be a good one, but it had some very big issues that made me not enjoy it. For starters the plot is very confusing. Why is Black Rock Shooter fighting Dead Master? What is their relation with those middle school student? What's going on? None of those questions get answered and instead the viewer is left puzzled. I've been watching anime since I was around 7, depending on if you count Avatar: the Last Airbender as an anime. In the 11 years since then, I think I can finally crown the worst anime of all time. It's this one. Story: Oh my god, this show (is it an OVA if it's unfinished?) made NO SENSE. AT ALL! WHATSOEVER! You know the synopsis for this? Yeah, that lasts for one episode and has absolutely no proper closure whatsoever. It just ends. And then the second episode has an entirely different plot. It's worth mentioning that this is a series that isn't finished yet (and probably won't be at this rate), but I... read more
This anime was VERY OVERHYPED. Lots of people were recommending this and it happened to fall into my "Watching" list. Story Here we have the opening where this little boy *forgot the characters names because uninterested * his mother died blah blah Titan eats her. Titans are these big creature human looking things who've grown 100% in size compared to a normal human. OK so he wants to become a Titan fighter I'm assuming *to gwr revenge on a Titan????* even then I found it to be boring. The Five Star Stories is an OVA that came out in 1989, based on a still "ongoing" manga that started in 1986 (for as far as you can call it ongoing, with only one volume being released in over 10 years). Given those circumstances, you can only expect the OVA to be an introduction to the series: it only adapts 1 Japanese volume (or 3 of the North-American volumes). So, is the story here any good then? Simply put: I found it to be one big teaser. We get teasers for big mecha fights, teasers for an epic war, teasers for intricate political debates and even teasers for cool fights... read more

Takeo & Sunakawa are riding the train one day & end up saving Yamato from a gropper. From there, Yamato has her eyes on Takeo & they start to date. The story was a nice change of pace from the usual stuff where it's always the popular guy going for the un-popular girl. This time around the hot... read more
All information lead me to believe this anime was similar to the type of anime I like best, but there are a few catches like obvious link to cannibalism. That element alone makes this series more than a bit creepy and hard to swallow (no pun intended). For humans to evolve into such a creature that can accept no other nutrition itself is also pretty far fetched and hard to fathom. Once again, as seen in many similar shows such as those of a 'hidden power' nature, we, the viewers are left hanging by the last episode. Far too many good anime are left totally unifinished and like a... read more
Light - Notice me senpai - greasy humor - no deep story - fun - cliché caracters - no real dev of story/chara
Yes ? => looking for a light story, teenage notice me senpai hype, some sweetish romance with ecchi/comedy but in a clever way.
This was a very good highly intellectual show with an excellent crime solving character, but the series had a less than enjoyable ending. Though, it has been awhile since I saw the series, I did not enjoy the ending at all and that kind of ruined more or less the whole series for me. So be warned if you watch it the ending might let you down as well. I do not particularly like a story or characters that build up to or lead me on a certain way only to completely let me down with a much lower quality type of ending than expected based on those things preceding the ending. The negative... read more
The Law of Ueki is one of the funnier animes I have ever seen. I have to wonder though, if all those students he faces are really in middle school, does Japan have such a serious problem with middle school students getting held back 10 to 40 years? Half or more of the so called middle school students he faces look anywhere from 25 to 45 or more years old. And there is no mistaking it whatsoever as in no way no how could those so called students not be at well into adult hood. I suppose maybe Japan has a serious problem with toxic products, toxic environments, or foods with way too... read more
This review will be spoiler-free. Coming into this season, I had no expectations based on the manga; I haven't read it yet, and I didn't know until episode 9 that this was an alternate plot to the manga. As an independent work, I really liked this show. Was this season confusing sometimes? Maybe. But it was easy to fill in the blanks. Unlike some other shows, which rely on heavy explanation to fill you in on plot points, this season of Tokyo Ghoul let the plot speak for itself. The plot of this show felt easy to follow in comparison to other things I've seen. Characters say enough to let you know what's... read more
If You've watched Stein's Gate or anything with time travel and thought - well I doubt that I'll ever find anything as good as this ( steins gate or anything with time travel), You can finally get that sigh and relax - Boku dake ga Inai Machi aka ERASED is a show that is about to change what we were thinking. Sure it was just 1 episode ( so far) that made me think this, but right now I have very high expectations, because they really did a very good job on story. ** Story - Struggling manga author Satoru Fujinuma is beset by his fear to express himself. However, he has a supernatural... read more

THIS IS SUCH A GOOD ANIME. i stalled this anime for a few years and continued off from episode 1 and I'm glad i did. the story is basically about a group of teenagers who are dead but are still living with some form of regret since they didn't get to live a normal life. when you look at how they are together, and then their flashbacks it just feels so much more realistic and it makes you so sad. BTW for the ending, yes it was sad, BUT AFTER THE ENDING CREDITS THERE IS STILL A TINY SCENE THAT YOU HAVE TO WATCH THAT MAKES YOU FEEL ALL HAPPY INSIDE. I'm reading a lot of comments saying how the ending was sad... read more
So far, Conan is a pretty good show. There is a strong sense of a blend from many possible sources or similarities to other things that the show reminds me strongly of in one way or another such as: the "Back to the Future" film series (the relationship between the mad professor and his neighbor is very similar not only of the types of devices and the fact that most fail despite the professor being so smart. Plus they both look comparable in age both student's original age (Conan) and the professor's. Marty was also very good at riding skateboards, and though this is not featured... read more
Too Slow! Too Real life! And after 2 season not a single kiss... I know in real life situaion this probably would be the case...But in a romanic anime...I'm kinda dissappointed.
What I Liked: The backgrounds, for the most part, were quite beautiful. The soundtrack was quite emotive, and I liked the slow tempo of the ending theme. Character designs were interesting, especially in regards to the characters from Heaven. Battle scenes are the strongest point of the series, with some great CG and SFX used. Pacing is quick, with lots of things seemingly happening. What I Didn't: Character animation was woefully uneven and made worse by the fact that this "series" is just a padded-out broadcast version of a two-part OVA. The integration of new footage with old footage is too... read more
This anime's animation is made to look like it's being shot in a paper theatre, which only increases the creepiness of the stories. Each episode, about four minutes long, is a fairly simple tale, but that doesn't stop it from being scary. This series does a good job of creating a horror story around the camp fire vibe. I enjoyed most of the episodes, and I think it's worth watching. I found this show on crunchyroll with a quick google search.
As a manga fan I feel that I am slightly bias toward this series that being said I tried to step outside my own opinion of the manga series and think only of the anime. The Story The story of the anime followed pretty close to the story of the manga. So in that regard it was pretty engaging. The biggest issue I with the story was how it ended. However, there are many anime that do similar things. If there ends up being another season. I would try it and so long as it tries to follow the manga story line I am sure I would like it. The story is for mature audiences. It's gritty and dark so I would... read more
I have to say this was a horrible second season and extremley boring one at that. Only reason I finished watching it was so I could get it over with. I loved the first season and thought it was really good for an older anime. I feelt season 1 had more comedy in it and a great plot and well develop characters, while season 2 was just lacking in every way. The characters pretty much did the same thing over and over. There was no real plot to this at all, the little plot there was was so tiny and boring that it didn't make it worth watching. This was almost torture to watch, that's just how... read more
Arcana Famiglia is a single-season anime based on a visual novel series by the same name. The story revolves around Felicita, the daughter of the family's Papa, and soon-to-be-bride of the winner of the Arcana Duello. Felicita, like many in her family, has made a contract with a Tarot card that gives her special abilities. The lowest score for this anime has to come from the story. So, while the other characters are tackling some major backstory, Felicita is still... read more
Just a quick review, well I´m not a big fan of Tokyo Ghoul but this OVA was quite enjoyable, it is just a short story from Gourmet´s past and a psycopat photographer but, because Gourmet is the most intersting character of the anime it becomes more intersting, on the other side the characters are very simple and only play their roles to a conclusion that doesn´t change a lot. Overall, of you want to watch Shuu in his school days, it is entertaining and defenetely better than the anime.
One of the best animated movies I have ever seen. I like the series. Its not on my top10 list, but I enjoyed it. The basic concept was good, accompanied by good visuals and characters. My biggest problem about the series was the lack of action. Let me elaborate: the action is there, but its pretty dull. Also it all goes down in Japan when we know that outside of Japan things are much more chaotic and probably more interesting. Here, they gave a huge dose of both. The action is absolutely top-notch. You can see that they actually consulted with professionals when coreographing the fight... read more
I really liked the characters in this anime, but the plot was very slow. I stuck through it until the end, but I wasn't completely satisfied by the finale. I think the storyline is still funny and it was a nice watch. It just left me feeling that this anime could have been condensed to half the episodes it used. It's not something I would reccomend binging on. Rather it would be good to watch an episode when you just need something to relax to.
Oh yea sports anime with pretty colors. The stride is nothing more than slightly upgraded relay race in order to be less boring... add some dramatic camera angles and music ... it is still just relay ... damm so boring. It is just only plain school-club anime with reverse harem. You know about restoring a school club back to its former glory with bunch of bishounen weirdos. Aside from pretty colors It has a very little to offer.
