Fu-fu

on Dec 16, 2013

Back and no better than he was before, it's RandomRedneck, Over-Opinionated Guru. Back with my first manga review since November of 2011. Long gap. Anyway, for this review, I puruse through a short but sweet Shoujo-Ai manga. One that's devoid of the typical angst you get in this genre. Just 18 chapters of "God, that's cute." material. This is Wife And Wife. Let us begin, shall we? Story There isn't much in the way of story. A few little mini-arcs here and there, but not a huge overarching plot. No, the story is mostly devoted to seeing our main characters, Sumi and Kina, be adorable... See full review

Itoshi no Kana

on Nov 2, 2011

Greetings, fellow manga readers. It's RandomRedneck, here with another manga review. For this review, I give my opinion on a manga that appears to just be straight smut at first(...it is smut, but it has its better points) but turns out to be oddly heartwarming, and... just good. Itoshi No Kana. Let us begin, shall we? STORY The story goes as such. Daikichi Amano is down on his luck. No job, no money, nothing. So, with nowhere else go, he moves into a decrepit apartment building. And wouldn't you know it, a ghost named Kana just happens to live there as well. The story usually goes one of two ways... Gokujou Drops

on Apr 27, 2011

Hello fellow...manga readers? Yup. It's RandomRedneck, branching out into reviewing a manga for once. And for my first manga review, I'll be offering my opinion on Gokujou Drops. Why? Why not? Let us begin shall we? STORY I'll be honest, this thing is a little thin on the plot. But it goes as such. Komari has made a deal with her father that she can live on her own in the city. The hitch being she has to live in a dorm room. There aren't any left (Shocker huh?) So the dorm office chick tells her to go check out the Haraiso Yakata, the dorm for all the elite chicks, and tells her she can stay there... See full review

Hakodate Youjin Buraichou Himegami

on Sep 10, 2011

Greetings fellow manga readers, it's RandomRedneck, once more branching into a manga review. And for this one, I tackle a manga I read because the TvTropes page said, "A very good yuri action series". What a load that was. I give you, Hakodate Youjin Buraichou Himegami(AKA Tales of the Hakodate Youjin Outlaws: Himegami.) Let us begin, shall we? STORY The story goes as such. Hijikata Hyou, a girl living in the small port town of Hakodate, is by night, the mysterious Youjin hunter, Miburo. She bears some kind of freaky mark on her back, indicating how many Youjin exist at any given time... See full review
