Idle thought and reading creates new neurological connections, which is the essence of knowledge itself! Not only that, but that thing about repeating things a month, that works the opposite way too, to break most habits, discontinue them for a month and your brain will naturally re-wire. I studied the brain a lot last year as well as it's mechanisms and what not, and studies show that a month is the time it takes to make or break most non-drug/addiction related habits. For instance, waking up and making your bed! Do it for a month and it will be a habit! I did :P
I wouldn't say City hunter was meant to be sad. But since u were following Ryo's and Kaori's adventure for so long u just become attached to them. So at the end its hard to believe that u cant follow the couple anymore on their adventures xP
