The fact that I'm about a month and a half over my goal finish date for this anime should tell you just how good it was...
Average... in case you didn't get it. Considering this only had 10 episodes (which, according to my usual marathoning skills, would take about half to a whole Saturday at most), it sure took me a hell of a long time to finish it (although, to be fair, I was on vacation for a while in-between).
Don't get me wrong though. The anime wasn't bad by any means. It was just... eh. While there were some touching moments (particularly the last episode) where I teared up a teeny tiny bit, the over all experience was forgettable. But what did I expect? This anime was SUPPOSED to be mellow and sweet, which was exactly what it was. The main focus was the everyday life of these two sisters. In that sense, the anime was a huge success. It successfully portrayed the beautiful relationship between the two, the hardships they face everyday (paying rent, buying food on sale, etc), and the try-hard attitude they had towards life.
The voice-acting was super cute. The art was very cute too. The stories were very realistic and logical. This anime was very easy to relate to because, at some point, we've all tried to save the minutes on our cellphone for emergencies or grabbed the last package of meat that was on sale.
Would I watch this anime again though? Probably not. Recommend it? For those who are looking for a short filler kind of series.
