If you liked the novel, you will enjoy the anime. In the first season, you get to see a few glimpses of Daddy Hua, and you even get your first peek at Beef Leaf. I just wish the season was longer than 11 episodes, everything picks up more in season 2, assuming they continue to follow the novel's plot.

This anime is great. I still gave it only a 2.5 star rating. The ending of season one made me not want to even bother watching season 2. All the way up until the last episode, I loved this anime. It was funny, but still made me cry. I loved the characters, even the ones I also hated. When the characters were happy, I was happy with them. When they were sad, so was I. But I was even more sad when that last episode rolled around and the anime decided to be completely predictable, lame, and unoriginal. I will not write a summary of the story, that would be pointless. This is not the sort of anime I usually watch, however, most of the ecchi is really funny and goes with the story instead of slowing it down. Parts of the anime are drawn quite beautifully, like most new anime. The main character is fairly common looking, as is his primary "love interest" with side characters that are very uncommon looking.
