Hi there, everybody! Welcome to my page! I'm a person who loves anime, videogames, reading, writing, and acting. If you understand my location, you have gained 10 points of epicness. I had my first encounter with anime when I was two years old and the original pokemon show was still airing and some boys insisted that we watch it when we were stuck at daycare. How I remember that, I don't know.
I'm always looking for new shows to watch, so if you have any recomendations, I'd be glad to hear them. I like romantic animes, and am not opposed to yoai(shounen-ai or whatever else it's called) animes, but my favorite genres involve adventure. I'll always love a show that can make me laugh. :) I am not a huge fan of horror, unfortunately, though I will make some exceptions if the show has a good enough story or other impressive redemming qualities.
Usually, when I drop an anime, it's either a very long one that I get bored of eventually, or it's one that I watched several episodes of or couldn't really get into. If I drop a show, it doesn't mean it's something that I would recomend you never watch. On the contrary, check them out if you want to. Just because I didn't finish them doesn't mean you won't enjoy them. Though, there are a couple execptions like Diabolik Lovers which you should AVOID!! Usually, I try to finish a manga series by actually reading the book rather than looking it up. I perfer it that way, so I drop a lot of manga when I can't find a hard copy of the book. XD Yeah, I don't know, that's just one of my quirks.
I watch shows in either Japanesse with English subs, or in English depending on the show, or if I do not own a copy of the show in English. Some shows I watch in both languages occasionaly.
If anyone's wondering how I know I've watched every pokemon episode of Pokemon, Advanced, Diamond and Pearl, and Best Wishes! Season 1, I actually watched it when I was young every day at 5 until I was about 13, and then I found the anime on the Pokemon website, and watched all of the episodes again. I love Pokemon, or, I used to. Now I just play the games, I don't watch the newest season of the anime.
My favorite anime? Probably Full Metal Alchemist or Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. Both are just as epic in my eyes. :)
I do watch shows other than anime, however lately that's limited to Once upon a Time, Doctor Who, and some stuff on the cooking chanel.
My signiture is Edward and Alphonse Elric from Full Metal Alchemist, and I found it in the site's database. They show what I feel like, usually, lol.
Just a little guide to my scoring of anime:
9-10 - Absolutely fantastic with hardly any, if any, flaws whatsoever. These shows are beautifully made in my opinion.
7-8 - Anything that falls into this category usually means that it's quite good or even great, but there are some things that tamper with the experience or that are frustrating. These shows are still quite good or even fantastic, just flawed.
6's - This is the meh category. It's below good, but it's still tolerable. It usually means there is a big issue somewhere in the show causing it to get such a low score. These shows are still watchable, and range from good to mildly entertaining to just tolerable but with a good concept or animation and sound that overshadow it's story. This is the last scoring category I would ever recommend watching to anyone.
5's - This is where the problems begin. Well, these shows tend to have some bigger problems. Either they're incredibly boring or at least one aspect of the show is severely flawed. Anything at 5 or above I would say it's alright to watch. 5 is my average grade.
Anything below a 5 - There's a lot wrong with these shows. A LOT. They range from stupid rip-offs to utterly horrible shows, but are generaly bad to get this low of a score.
1's and below - KILL IT WITH FIRE!!!
