Man, I have a hard time giving this anything but 10. This is...amazing. Up there with Kekkaishi in my favs. Panty and Stocking is a bizarre, hilarious anime about angels, both crude and sugary, animation like The Powerpuff Girls...recommended for some audiences (see Objectionable Content below). Lucky Star, at first glance at it's animation, is basically nothing more then your basic kawaii anime. But what makes it unique? The characters, the story, insane driving...it's got something for an otaku to enjoy. Recommended for most audiences (see "Objectionable Content" for more details). Sonic X is an anime that fell to mixed reaction. From "OMG SONAMY" to "Eh, it's okay" to "WHAT THE %$^& IS THIS $^&*", it's pretty...er, mixed. The score you see to your right is of the Japanese version. The English version would be 5.5/10. Kids will like the English version, and older audiences will like the Japanese version (see "Objectionable Content" for information on both). Creativity, thy name is Azumanga Daioh. Making a newspaper-comic-esque Japanese manga into an anime is tough, but this show pulls it off. Boys shouldn't be afraid to admit they love a show full of girls; people who judge men for liking the show should see the show for themselves and see how much they'd like to judge then. Durarara is an anime that surfaced to much hype, and that hype it deserved. From it's crazy storylines to it's unexpected twists and turns, Durarara's got pretty much everything an otaku needs. Recommended for most otakus (see "Objectionable Content" for details). Ah, Higurashi, how one of my Internet friends got me hooked on you. How long did I wait for you? You're up there in my favorites, with Kekkaishi. Oh, wait, there are other people reading and don't wanna hear me propose to Higurashi for a whole page. Well, uh, you've basically heard my opinion; Higurashi is gory fun, but not for the squeamish or young viewers. May look kawaii at first, but by the end, you'll be seeing World War 3 break out when it comes to the gore level. Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi is one of the first anime my infant brother saw. Call me crazy for setting an infant in front of Abenobashi, sure, but he needed to see Anime Unleashed's best show they would ever air. Baccano was one of the best anime to be released in 2010. It could possibly even be the best anime in 2007. You will love the adventures of The Flying Pussyfoot, except for the squeamish. Now, when you're watching anime, what's the last thing you're going to think of? If you guessed Family Guy, you're right (at least that's the last thing I always think of). But that's all you'll be comparing this show to and thinking about with this waste of potential. I was rather disappointed in Adult Swim when they picked this up. I thought they wanted Soul Eater, not some show starring a loud kid and his bottom. Not recommended, not for kids either. Looking for a good family-friendly comedy? Sgt. Frog is calling your name.
