I hate writing about myself. Well not that I hate it really, but I never quite know what to say. If you want to know more about me go to my MySpace page and maybe even request me as a friend.(>.< )

Okay, okay, I give...
I'm Jae, Jason, Jay, whatever (n.n) and I'm a 29 year old Otaku. That avatar is a picture I drew of myself. If only I was really that handsome! I'm an artist though not by trade, not yet. I fell in love with anime about 13 years ago strictly for the art of it but soon came to fall in love with many of the characters and story lines.
I'm not as much of a watcher as I would like to be, if I were I would be working strictly to support my habits!
I sort of claim the right to be dubbed Otaku-Kun since manga artist Otsuka Hiroki calls me that. It's a long story involving a bar and a Puffy (Ami Yumi) concert afterparty... lol
I suppose one of the most important things to know about me is my passion for Japan not just anime. It's a big part of my life. I can't explain why or when it started. I know it's always been there though.
It's a beautiful country, with beautiful people, music, art, and culture. I'm way in to Japanese music like Polysics, Orange Range, Puffy, Dragon Ash, L'arc, Halcali etc... I barely listen to any US bands anymore. I also own more Japanese movies than I care to count. Tadanobu Asano is a phenomenal actor and one of my favorite directors is Kurosawa Kiyoshi. I'm learning Nihongo, and reading lots of books by Japanese authors both fiction and history.
Other than that, I'm a huge Law & Order fan as well as House and Animal Planet. I love movies but not Hollywood garbage, I'm more in to the thrillers and the mysteries and the real art that comes out of hollywood that no one notices.
I do listen to some non Japanese music like Static-X, KoRn and Gorillaz, lots of IDM and Downtempo, and some retro-punk.
I'm an avid gamer, mostly fighting games and puzzles. Nintendo is my company of choice and I'm always using my DS. I'm a big Nintendo freak and I think my favorite system is my NES that I found at a tag sale and rebuilt XD
And this is why I don't like to write about me, I never know when to shut up!!!
I'd love to make friends so please feel free to say Osu!
Vash the Stampede is a great character; he is valiant, chivalrous, deceptively brave, naive...

that is their homepage.
My sisters previous boyfriend were in Japan about a month ago, and he bought me a cd box (only 2 cd) with japanese 60s hits. Its absolutely awesome!
Maybe I should try P-Model out some day. But it probably will not happen until I am out of my 'japanese 60s-70s hit music' period.
I found this internet radio channel that play japanese hits from the 60s and forward, and it has captivated me. The music from this period has some great melodies and singing abilities are still more important than looks, but the lyrics are corny like nothing else. But since I only understand about 20 japanese words it does not matter!
Konnichiwa!
Wandering through again, and see you're a manga reader! If you weren't aware, we now have a manga recommendation database up. Check out this thread when you get a chance - I'd love it if you could help us fill in the holes in the DB! :D (which are a lot, we only have about 200 manga up at the moment!)
